Went to see Odyssey in the UltraScreen theater. The volume was so loud I had to go get earplugs 30 minutes into the movie. It was honestly becoming unenjoyable because of how loud it was. I don't know if it was the theater itself, this specific movie, or the UltraScreen setup, but I've never been to a movie that was that loud and normally I'm not someone who would wear earplugs. Aside from the volume, the staff were extremely friendly, we got complimentary popcorn for being part of their rewards program, and the parking lot was huge! The seats recline and were pretty cozy. I will say that when your seat is reclined, it doesn't leave much room in front of you for people to pass through, which I thought was a bit weird. read more

Theater is clean the couple times I've been here. I ordered the mozzarella cheese sticks with ranch and they were delicious. The remind me of the old cheese sticks Red Robin used to have. Although the theaters are clean, the chairs could use updating. A lot of the "leather" is worn and looks dingy. Screens are huge and that's nice to watch your flicks on that size of a screen. They don't have real butter like my favorite Emagine theater. I pay extra for that, but it's not an option here. I'll still attend here once in a while when I get a craving for those cheese sticks. read more

So we went to the movies to see the new Fnaf movie and so my boyfriend was getting hungry and we asked the pizza bar if we could order they said you need to off the website/app so we did btw it didn't say anything about it closing early but we ordered then they called and said it was closed after we sent the money so then we try to refund it but we went to the snack counter I said "hey we ordered off your website and we need a refund because the kitchen is closed" The fat white lady said "First you're not supposed to be on your phone durning the movie" she said this in the nastiest way possible then she told the skinny girl to help us in the same tone The skinny girl was actually very nice and polite and she DID NOT use that tone but as we were talking to her the fat lady said "no now it's out of our control you have to talk to the company about it" in the same tone Then we left and watched the rest of the movie After that Once we were leaving this bald guy came up to us and performed a whole show and gave us a whole bag of free popcorn But another thing I don't like was it was the end of the night everybody was leaving. My friend was filling up a popcorn thing which is the same exact size as a regular soda/drink with whatever after they were done, they told her to throw it out that's just low like really low No hate to the skinny Asian or the balding white guy because they were so nice and helpful talked with good manners and was not rude at all Maybe you can improve the ladies behavior she's blonde with blue eyes really really big and she talks like that one mean teacher from high school maybe it was just a bad night for her but that's not how you treat people especially if you're working Another thing we can improve is the website. This is my second time to Marcus Rosemount Cinema. Overall, good experience. The lady at the counter was polite and handled the Sunday busyness well. Concessions were very busy. Lots of staff appeared to be working behind the counter but only two lanes open which seemed a little silly considering the lengthy lines. Seemed to be just lots of people standing around. We ordered a large popcorn and mozzarella sticks (my friends recommended them last time we were here). They provide you with a buzzer to alert you when your order is ready. Took about 10 minutes for them to be done. Came out hot. They were actually very good and I'd get them again. Price point- I'd say average cost. The theater we were in was large and clean. Packed house for the new release of It Ends With Us. Theater big, clean, bright, and staff are friendly. read more

We've been going to this theater for years, and have always loved how comfy the recliner seats are. Before the pandemic, they had the best deal for Marcus members, $5 Tuesdays with free small popcorn. The membership is free too and we've saved so much money using it. I'm a loyal Marcus member now because of this theater. It's relatively newer compared to some other Marcus theaters, I hope they can keep up with the cleanliness and bring back the free popcorn for Members. read more

There was NO advertisement of having to be a certain age for a movie. when we drove all the way there my 16 year old friends were kicked out for being "underage" when it states no where that we are in need of an id to enter. This is our go-to theatre. Super comfortable reclining seats. Lots of room between rows. Popcorn is good. Have never had a problem with service. Temperature of theatre is good (some theatres I freeze in and the idea of wearing PJs and bringing a blanket to a movie is beyond my capability). I have the Marcus Theatre rewards, so our last movie provided free soda and popcorn, and I picked up a coupon from the counter for a free soda next time I visit before end of January. Parking is easy. I buy tickets online and that has always worked well. Overall a great experience. For all theatres with reclining seats, I wish they had considered a place for purses. There isn't a lot of room on the floor and the purse gets in the way of the reclining footrest. Last movie I saw was 'Robert Jewell'...very well done. I enjoyed it very much. read more

We love this place. The reclining seats are fantastic. And with the multiple theatres they usually have something playing that we want to see. They also have a military discount but only in person. Plus Tuesday night deals on admission and food. With the Marcus rewards program you can earn points to $ off. They had a promo in early November that was fantastic with $20 in points for $100 purchase plus $15 in snack bar cash. My only complaint is the food. They have a small specialty food area where you can order pizza, sandwiches, alcohol, etc... But they have quoted me 15 minutes for a pizza that took 40 minutes. The staff that prepare the food are just kids and they don't seem to be very efficient in quantity or timing. The food turns out usually very good. read more

This is a perfectly lovely movie theater! The Wisconsin-based Marcus chain really does a lot of things right to lure people out to the movies. They have remodeled their auditoriums to the modern standard of reserved seating and plush reclining seats with footrests. Most of the AMC locations are doing this, but the Marcus theaters in Rosemount and Oakdale have every AMC location beat when it comes to the generous luxury of their seats. Marcus also spoils you for options at their concession stand. If you want snack fare beyond the usual trifecta of popcorn/soda/candy, you can choose from their Zaffiro's Express menu, which includes pizza, burgers, sandwiches, and even pesto chicken skewers and tempura green beans. I've had the latter and was perfectly pleased, and I've had their pizza which I really actually enjoyed a lot. It's very thin cracker-crust pizza with a lot of flavor. Two of their ten auditoriums are UltraScreens, which means they have very large screens with excellent sound. These auditoriums are great options for big event movies. The seats are as comfortable as any other, although they cram a few more in so that there isn't quite as much room for people to walk down the row when the footrests are extended. This is an acceptable compromise. The only reason I knocked a star off was because of a pair of presentation issues I had during my recent visit. One is that the house lights remained on during the trailers. So the trailers didn't look very good. And I think the trailers are important! I get how nit-picky that is, believe me, but the other issue was a little more serious. There were three very pronounced smudges, or maybe even scratches (but probably smudges) on the actual physical screen. They were clearly visible whenever it was a daylight scene. I alerted the manager, who took it very seriously and seemed sincere about fixing that issue as soon as possible. (A reality of film exhibition is that once theaters converted to digital projectors, which are very easy to operate compared with the ones that run 35mm prints, the need for theaters to staff expensive full-time union projectionists went away. But that means that when there is an issue like this, it might be a while before someone with the right expertise can be summoned.) So if you're not as hard to please as I am, it seems very likely that you'll find this to be a five-star cinema. It's a pleasant environment with amazingly comfortable seats, that is worth coming to even if you don't live that close. read more

Holy cow, the seats alone would warrant a five star rating. It's like a super comfy leather throne in a terrible gaudy bright fire engine red. It totally changed how much butt feels watching movies at a movie theater. You can also order alcohol, a full grill menu of food options, and traditional over-priced popcorn and candy. Went to see Shazam on April 8, 2023. Got to the theater 20 minutes early to order food. Placed the order and sat and watched the employees talk and joke around while they cleaned. Came back 20 minutes later to ask when our food would be ready and was told it wasn't started. Manager came over and said they had been busy even though there were almost no customers the whole time and I watched while at least 2 people talked and goofed around. Great management and customer service, not!! This is why teenagers shouldn't manage other teenagers. Definitely will no longer be going to Marcus. Their BBB listing shows nothing but terrible complaints and no way to contact corporate. Emagine and AMC are way better theaters! read more

I love this theater, especially since the new upgrades with the recliners. Although I must admit, hearing countless people struggle to figure out how to work the recliners are annoying to say the least. I took off a star because I find their concession stands to be limited. From time to time, you have some kids working here that are having a little too much fun horsing around, but its not a regular thing, People are always kind and courteous. The bathrooms are usually well kept. Ample parking, even on opening nights of big movies. Will go here 9/10 times, rather than go to Eagan. read more

We absolutely love this theater now that they have the dream loungers. We go to movies quite a bit as a family, and prior to this renovation, we would go to the Carmike in Apple Valley. But these seats are fantastic, and the ticket prices are still quite reasonable (our tickets tonight were $19 for 2 of us). We've brought our 2-year-old nephew here twice and he has sat through each movie in its entirety... I really think it's because of the seats. Note... Be sure to get and use a Magical Rewards card. And, you need to ask the staff if you want to redeem some of your points (100 points = $5)... We have found that they don't ask if you want to use points. read more

Finally, the old waterfall/fountain that hasn't worked in years is gone. The entire place had a complete makeover to include the addition of some giant Ultra screens. They are Large but so is the fees they added onto the price of those tickets. I was a bit surprised but I figured the high price of movies would hit my local theater. There were sound system and other issues with this place but now it is very neat and organized. They have video boards for the menu and everything. This is our preferred theater. Zaffiros Express - This is a new food option inside on the newly remodeled Rosemount Marcus Theater. They serve Burgers, Pizza, salads and appetizers, I almost forgot they also serve beer and wine too. So far, I have only had the opportunity to try the pizza, well and the beer. Movie theater prices are known to be high but the food here is priced as a normal restaurant. I have been to some theaters for food and drinks to accompany the movie. I happen to enjoy the ability to take a drink or real food into the theater to munch on before, during or after the movie. My wife and I decided to try the pizza. We were definitely impressed!! The crust is very thin cracker-like crust that is delicious and the toppings appear to be fresh. I am always looking for another place to eat that offers fresh ingredients. I have to admit that we liked the pizza so much but there wasn't a movie playing that we haven't seen that we wanted to see, so we stopped in just to have pizza and a beer and that is all. No movie. I guess there is a full restaurant at the Woodbury Marcus Theater also. There isn't much for service when you order at a counter and they give you a pager to get your food. I did have to wait for 5 minutes for a second beer. No one was at the entire counter and we asked the ticket seller and she just said that she didn't know where they were and didn't want to help us at all or find someone. I am excited to stop by again to try more food options. As a liquor drinker, I would love to see them be able to make a margarita and other drinks like that. Maybe in time. This movie theater was recently redone. The theater has the dream recliner sleep seats that go all the way flat have drink holders and are extremely comfortable. We stopped up here today for a family movie outing to see the jungle book, the place is busy and the service is slow. They don't have enough workers on to handle the crowd. I would've ranked this a five-star experience if it wasn't for the long lines out in the lobby. We had to wait over 20 minutes to get popcorn and soda. On the positive side this movie theater has added in a zaffiors express. This is an Italian place that you can grab a pizza or you can have beer wine. The service over there is extremely fast. We have been to this theater in the past, and On days when it's not so busy things go pretty quick. Today is raining so I'm sure everyone is coming out to go to the movies. read more

We have visited this theater for years with positive experiences. During a recent visit, one of the employees was extremely rude and unprofessional. She did not smile but seemed to glare throughout the interaction, rolled her eyes several times and acted like fulfilling our order was an inconvenience. At one point in the communication she said to us "I really don't care." It really set the mood for a poor experience overall. Please realize the way you treat people has a lasting impact. Over all. I love this place. Especially Tuesday - how do you complain about $5 movies. I enjoy the online app as I don't have to interact with many people. The food of course is priced high but it is not as high as AMC. On Tuesdays if you are a part of their FREE member rewards you also get free popcorn. What a steal! The theater is up-kept and clean. The recliners are comfortable and you can sit back relax and enjoy the show. It is worth it to me to buy the popcorn and soda or large bottles of water so I support them. Being the only theater that is nice in Rosemount/ AV it is worth it to keep it up. I like the soda set up as you cab refill on your own without worry about a line. This is my favorite theater in the area. I love the reserved recliners. Online ticketing is easy and convenient too. You can buy your ticket way in advance and don't have to rush to get there and get a good seat. This theater also has some of the best popcorn in the area in my opinion. It is consistently good. Rosemount Cinema is a Marcus Theater which I absolutely love. They have the best reclining seats (yes, the big cushy/comfy chairs) and so many different locations. I love being able to select my own seats when I get there. I have been to the Rosemount location several times and the service is always great, the popcorn is LOADED with butter (nothing is better than movie theater popcorn), and they have Zaffiro's connected to it, so you can bring pizza and drinks into the theater. What's also nice about it being in a suburb of the Twin Cities is that it's never too packed. I've gotten to see many recent movies without any hassle or worry that they would run out of tickets. read more

Went to see Men In Black:International this morning with wife and family while visiting back here in MN. Great theater with very comfy reclining chairs. Can be dangerous if the movie gets slow as it might put you to sleep so make sure you grab some snacks to munch on during your show. Especially love the ability to book my tickets thru the app. But I've noticed a steady decline in cleanliness & service. I've noticed some petty things over my years of going here but something that's been an issue that really needs to be addressed are bugs flying during the movies. I am digging the whole recliner makeover Marcus has been doing at their theaters so from time to time, when a flick I want to see isn't playing at my regular place, I head out to Rosemont. Typical Movie Theater employees; some excellent peeps who can feel and see they love their job, and others, mostly teenagers, run around wastimg time and frolicking with all their friends. This place gets 5 stars for one reason alone...the seats. I've been to other theaters with the VIP area and huge leather seats which is very cool. But this theater has electric reclining seats on every row - no VIP, no cocktails or bacon-buttered popcorn and no IMAX. But some of the most comfortable seats I've ever sat in and you don't pay extra for the privilege. I've even seen people come in with blankets and pillows to snuggle up like you're watching a movie at home! Also worth noting is that previews start at the time the show is supposed to begin and usually plays 10-15 minutes. So if you're running behind - we usually are - no worries because you've got a cushion of time. And since you pick out your seats on a screen when you buy the tickets, there's no stumbling to figure out where to sit. This is a great little theater for this small community. read more
