Saw a movie in the IMAX theatre and had a great experience. Assigned seats are easy to purchase online. The parking lot is massive and has plenty of free parking. You don't need to show anyone your ticket and can head straight to concessions if you purchased your ticket online. The reclining seats are comfortable, clean, and allow you to recline pretty far back. The aisle space is generous and you don't have to sit your seat up to allow others to walk through the aisle. The bathrooms could use a deep clean. On Tuesday's you can see a movie and get a small popcorn for $5. There's a bar available with $5 bud light, and the concessions has a large variety of items from pizza to funnel cake fries that they will deliver to your seat. The small popcorn is a generous portion and can easily be shared between two people. The butter doesn't have an artificial taste to it and tastes good. There is only one icee machine at this location. read more

Stopped by Emagine Lakeville to checkout Toy Story for its 30th anniversary! This movie theater is huge!! When I pulled into the parking lot I noticed there's a ton of parking. They also have a monster screen which looks like a whole separate building. There's an arcade to the left when you walk in, a nice seating area to the right, and a bar straight ahead w/ concessions right behind the bar. They had really cute movie merch for sell as well as plenty of snacks and food options. I was able to catch the new Halloween specials menu. I ordered the Jeeper's, its reaper pizza which was so good and spicy. They deliver the food right to your seat which is nice. The seats are super comfortable and recline. Loved the movie posters with the fun facts in the hallway. I enjoyed my time here and can't wait to come back and check out the MONSTER screen! read more

We saw the movie "The mandalorian and the grogue" here and it's a really nice theatre. Staff is friendly with fast service and the restrooms are kept up nice and clean too. The seats are comfy and the sound is really good. Very nice theatre and would definitely be back! read more

Spouse ordered tickets online for "A complete unknown" movie about Bob Dylan. This movie was really good. These have much nicer recliners than Burnsville theater. Spouse selected row 3, which was way too close. We moved back a couple of rows. Popcorn was spendy, but we shared a medium. There is Noone to take tickets. Was really weird. Bathroom was close by. Comfortable seats and I like how they bring your food to you in the theater. However, the hot honey bacon cheese curds were nearly inedible. They were stuck hard to the foil and without being able to see, I had a hard time trying NOT to eat the foil. Taste was just ok - won't be ordering them again. read more

This was the worst experience of my life. What was supposed to be an enjoyable night out turned into an infuriating ordeal. The movie didn't start until an outrageous hour after its scheduled time, with no explanation, no updates, and no concern from the staff. We sat in limbo, ignored and disrespected, as the theater failed to deliver the most basic part of its service. This level of incompetence is unacceptable from a business charging premium prices. To add insult to injury, there was no effort to apologize or make amends for the wasted time and frustration. This wasn't just a mistake--it was a total failure in customer care. I've never been so disappointed in an entertainment venue. Emagine Theater has lost my trust, and I won't be returning. read more

Watched super Mario bros on the monster screen, loved the theatre! Bathrooms were a mess and could be updated, but at least they had paper towels instead of hand dryers! Popcorn was also really good. read more

This theater is in the very farthest reaches of the Twin Cities metro area, but if it's convenient for you, you'll probably be very glad you can see movies in such a nice place. It's very large, with 21 screens (I'm not aware of another theater in Minnesota with so many separate auditoriums). One of them is a huge "Monster Screen", and some, but not all, have modern reclining seats with footrests. Those are very, very comfortable, although if you adjust the recline during the movie, you might feel sheepish by how much noise they make. And some of their auditoriums (maybe five?) don't have the fancy seating, although they all have stadium seating. You can tell on their website which showings have old fashioned seating because they're marked "RT" (retro theatre). They have a very good selection at their concession stand, with a bunch of hot foods to choose from like pizzas and chicken tenders. Soft drinks come out of the very popular Coke Freestyle machines, and for not-so-soft drinks, there is a prominent bar at the front of the concession stand. They really want people to just hang out there like a bar; they even have TVs showing normal broadcast TV shows hovering over the bar area, although the seating doesn't consist of the type of cushion-y chairs where you'd spend a lot of time. Mostly just barstools with wooden backrests. My service at the concession stand was a little awkward today. Not a huge deal, but it took an unusually long time to get me a drink cup and a hot dog, even though the hot dogs were inches away. A manager had to be summoned, which was frustrating because I was already late for my movie. I also generally don't like it when you buy your movie tickets from the concession stand, because the line sometimes moves so much more slowly while you wait for people in front of you to purchase tickets and food. That was the case for my 4:30 weekday showing, but they appear to have a box office for busier hours. I'm not in this part of town often, but I'm very comfortable recommending this cinema to anyone who lives around there. It has a surprising coziness for such a big building, and those newer seats are just so comfortable. I hope I'll get to try out their Monster Screen sometime. read more

Went to see inside out 2 on a standard screen. First off nobody checks your tickets. I asked the girl working concessions how to check my tickets in and she literally told me they don't....strange business tactic..... basically anyone can go in there and watch a movie for free. Some of us ordered popcorn and pretzel bites which come out right away... you can order burgers, pizza, and other food... they will only THEN ask for a seat number (because they bring it to you) We ordered three orders of chicken strips to be delivered to us and we go on our way to find our screen. We were in screen 15 and as soon as you walked through the door it literally smelled and felt like a gym. It was so uncomfortably hot and musty inside this theater it was almost unbearable at times. I think they did have the air on but it was either set to a high temp? Or just broken? It almost seemed to kick in every once in a while? Terrible experience the whole way through I honestly didn't mind taking a break from the movie because it was at least a 10 degrees cooler from the theater to the hallway... lastly our chicken strips took forever at least 30 mins for the first order (which was ordered last) came first and at least 15 mins before our other two showed up. Over all I wouldn't pick this movie theater again unless I wanted to be scummy and not pay for my experience! read more

We visited over the Thanksgiving holiday and we hadn't been to this theatre for several years. They now have recliner chairs which is excellent. I ordered the special nachos and they were very good and homemade (including the chips). The only issue was that they took about 25 minutes because they forgot to heat the oil to fry the chips. We were excited to watch doctor strange but the minute we entered we were kicked out on the most disrespectful way by Jose and another guy. He even told us to "Shut the fuck up". I have went to this theater before and last time Jose has done the same thing to a black family. A kid was having tantrum and Jose had a whole argument with the mother even though she was leaving the theater since her son was having hard time. Jose has anger issues, no patience, disrespectful and unprofessional. Tim Larson the manager didn't do anything about the situation. And when we went back to grab our belongings he threaten to call the cops on my black guy friend. I don't care that he finds his skin intimating. That is not a way to treat a customer. I came to watch a movie normally around closing time, went to the concession stand for some snacks. As I walk up and order it's clear they were irritated while I was ordering. The server ordering my food was rolling her eyes, kept looking back behind her at her co-worker and would talk while I was ordering and gave me attitude. I just don't get why she was acting like this if this is her job! I wasn't acting rude or entitled, I was quite polite and respectful. You can't hire teenagers if they don't have their attitude right!!! read more

I guess I'm an Emagine movie theater snob. The Michigan Emagine's are more appealing. We pulled up in the parking lot and it looked closed, no indication that it was an Emagine Theater. No lights, nothing. The entrance is old movie theater not the Emagine that I'm accustomed to, which is bustling with energy it's something to behold. This place dull. The food was less than desirable. Popcorn or maybe the butter was odd tasting, pop flavoring was not right and the pretzel had no flavor or salt. For $50 you'd think the food would better. I hope the owners or Emagine turn it around or this will be a black mark to the company. On a positive note the actual theater is what I expect to see at Emagine. I ordered chicken tenders and I was surprised when I was told they would be delivered to my seat during my movie. 45 mins went by and they still were not delivered. When I got to the register I saw they were sitting in the food warmer for who knows how long and the cash register said "oh it looks like they weren't delivered." Very upset that the employees don't seem to care about their customers and if or when they get their food and didn't seem to feel bad whatsoever!! Horrible service. Since moving to Lakeville we have visited this theatre twice. A couple weeks ago and yesterday (7/20/18). Both visits were quite nice. The theatre is close to home and the renovated auditoriums are clean with large, comfy recliner seats, and an excellent display and sound quality. The monster screen is HUGE! 2/7 consecutive sidelights in the left side of the monster auditorium are burnt out, making walking in a bit of an adventure. The pretzels and cheese appetizer is really good, surprisingly fried but very good. Both times the popcorn was lukewarm and not sufficiently buttered. It is not nearly as good as the popcorn at AMC or ICON theaters. It also took a very long time for us to receive our food purchased on both occasions. From what I've observed, they are grossly over staffed during the evening schedule. The staff appears to have minimal direction and oversight, standing around reviewing/discussing social media posts and taking photographs of themselves instead of providing value added services for the theatre/guests. The first time they were there (a Thursday night) we counted 9 team members behind the behind the food counter, while only two of them were actually working. Meanwhile, my husband and I stood there openly discussing this fact of them and it still took upwards of 6 minutes to receive our order. read more

We had family from out of town & decided to see a movie. The theater (#7) air conditioning was not working, so it was very warm. The projector was not turned on at the beginning of the previews, so there was no picture. We brought this to the attention of the staff & the only response was they had to talk to the manager. When the projector finally came on, there were spots in the screen as if the lens was nit clean. The room never did cool down. Will look at other theaters next time. Very disappointing! read more

Its an Emagine, and I love it. The pricing is cheaper than the "Rave" cinema I used to go to, and lets face it, its AWESOME to pre-select your big comfy lean-back seat. The seats alone are what keeps me loyal to Emagine, no more cramming into uncomfortable seats at other theaters. It feels more legit like a movie theater, go in, get your popcorn, the checkout line is different, the experience is better overall. This is consistent with other Emagine locations I've been to. read more

Decent theater, monster screen is nice, but the guard rails in front of every row makes the recliners useless, unless you like seeing a large steel pipe interfere with the screen. I tried seats up and down the rows when I went to see Far From Home, not a decent view from any of them. Would love to hear from them on why they think this is okay. read more

The theatre was disgusting, they don't clean between movies. There was garabage on half the seats in our row and on the floor. We had to clean off garage off our reserved seats. Really horrible no one walks through to pick up garabage or even check status between movies. read more

Great movies... awesome sound... comfortable reclining chairs... great popcorn... create you own beverage machines... friendly staff... the only complaint I would have is too clean the bathrooms more often and fix any broken bathroom equipment... but the toilets do not take away from the movie experience!!! Beware - there is a new policy that states no one under 16 is allowed to see any rated movie (G, PG, PG13, etc.) without an adult after 6pm. I also love how many perks they offer with their rewards program - I'm often surprised that we get a free popcorn or soda to take it to the movie. Spent the afternoon in a freezing movie theater (reported temperature to manager twice). Not only that, the movie stopped twice before we gave up and left. Very disappointing movie-going experience. Worst theater I've ever been to. Simply horrendous. The video playback wasn't working, audio only. I walked back the entrance to report the problem, but the box office was closed. Only staff was at concessions counter. They told me the problem had already been reported, and a manager had been called to come in and fix it... but it could take awhile. They didn't want to give me a refund... the tickets were $20, a special event event showing of The Rolling Stones Rock & Roll Circus. Besides my son and I There was only one other person n the huge theater, and they obviously didn't care since it was a tine crowd n a slow Monday night. I insisted they refund my money, and they finally agreed, but they refused to refund the $4 service fee because I bought the tickets online at their website. It wasn't fandango or a third party service. It was Emagines site, so this pissed me off further. They said I could wait around till the manager got in and had fixed the projector, but I'd had enough. I left. The next morning I called the theaters number and I said I had a complaint. After being put on hold I finally was told the manager was on another line, but if I left my name and number someone would call me back. When I asked when that would be she told me she didn't know because the Regional Manager was out of state and the theater manager was really busy. So, I'm out $4... but who cares? It's the principle of the matter. Whomever owns and/or runs this operation should be ashamed of themselves. Incompetence and petty theft and dishonesty should never be tolerated. I'm dedicated to spreading the word about this shady sketchy theater to as many people as I can. I do not expect my call to be returned by a manager. They evidently are more than comfortable ignoring their many operational failings. read more

The most unprofessional and incompetent staff and management in the business. If the theater was nice it would be one thing to deal with incompetency but with a "retro" theater, ancient sound, and uncomfortable seating combined with rude staff makes for a serious waste of money and time. Go to Burnsville theater. Far better experience every time. By the way, no one ever checks for tickets there. Don't bother buying one, I shouldn't have paid like the others in the theater. Nice theater, clean facility, a better than average snack bar, and reasonable movie prices. Like all movie theaters, you may need to take out a second mortgage if you want popcorn and drinks for the family. By no means worse than anywhere else in that regard though. read more

Was very disappointed when on a recent Tuesday night when a discounted ticket price is offered, we left after waiting 20 minutes to buy tickets. Only 2 employees to buy tickets from, at the concession counter. It takes time to pick out seats and purchase treats. Box office was closed. At least one other couple walked out as well. read more

I think the new renovations to this theater are really nice. The problem lies with the fact that they don't use a separate ticket window now and ticket sales go through the concession area. If you are a person that thought ahead and got your tickets online but still wanted to get popcorn you have to wait in a long concession line because people are waiting to buy tickets in this line. Leave yourself plenty of time before the movie if you want to buy tickets or food. read more

Love the Lakeville theater. We go there at least once or twice a month. The seats are very comfortable! Popcorn is really good and they offer free popcorn flavoring. Chicken tenders and French fries very tasty. Don't have to wait for your food as they deliver right to your seat. We have never had an issue and the food is always hot. Restrooms always clean. Every time we have been there there has been someone cleaning the theater after each movie. During matinees typically the box office is closed and you buy tickets from concession area. So there may be a slight wait. If your buying concessions this isn't a big deal. If your skipping the concessions, buy the tickets ahead of time and this won't be an issue. During the winter it may be a little chilly and in the summer you have the air conditioning. We always brings jacket or blankets and have really never had an issue regarding the temperature. We have always been greeted by the staff and everyone have always been very nice and helpful. Monster screen makes the movie experience fun! Be sure to sign up for the free rewards program. Really pays off quickly and free popcorn on Tuesdays. read more

I have been coming to this theater since it opened years ago and was always impressed with the cleanliness and service. After finding out that it was under new ownership and had been renovated I was excited to check it out. It is becoming more common for theaters to have reclining chairs, food (beyond popcorn), and a bar is almost required these days. I was very happy to see that the renovations all of this. But they definitely have some room for improvement. Overall I would say the service is okay, it's not like they are understaff. At one point I think I counted 15 people working between the bar and ticket counter, but a lot of them are just standing around. With two bartenders we waited at least 5 minutes to order our drinks while there was one other customer. Also for the amount of staff you would think the place would be well kept, but popcorn and garbage were tables and the floors. The food is okay, and I wasn't expecting to be blown away but the supreme nachos were expensive for what you get and they ended up being soggy. The pretzel bites were good as well as the popcorn. A good selection of beer. We will see if I give this place another try (I have been there a few times since the changes have been made) or I might just drive a few more miles to Burnsville. read more
