Seats are comfortable and have good leg room and not really a bad seat in the place. I also love the addition of the concert hall for smaller events. Staff are always helpful and friendly. The bars always do a fun drink that rotates for the show at the time. Do yourself a favor and pre-order a drink for intermission if you plan to have refreshments at that time. The one drawback here is parking. The ramps aren't super close (although, they're within an easy walk) and street parking in this area is always chaos, so give yourself plenty of time before your show to find space. If you haven't had the chance to enjoy and event here, get yourself to the Ordway!

It's definitely my preferred theater in the Cities!…read more Parking is a bit of a toss-up...here are my go-tos: hope for a miracle and get street parking, pay a little more and get a spot in a nearby garage, get a bite beforehand at the St. Paul Grill and use their Valet :) The space itself is very modern and clean! I actually like that it is updated and not a "historic" theater. You don't have steep staircases, old bathrooms, or impossibly tight leg room! Tickets are usually reasonably priced, and my favorite "cheat code" is to buy the "limited view" seats in the front corners, as they are significantly discounted, and often only have a minimal disruption in the view. Staff is always friendly and excited to welcome you to the show! They have snacks, coffee, and alcoholic drinks available for purchase, but often frown upon you bringing it into the theater with you, so plan ahead and get there before the show to enjoy!

Although there were four understudies taking on roles the night of this particular performance, I think they all did a fantastic job. The singing was professional, as well as the dancing. What a difficult thing to pull off successfully. Congratulations. We had fantastic seats, but it appeared that the sightlines would be good from most seats because of the good banking of the rows. Some of the songs were a little challenging for the actors, and the acting was a bit forced at times leading to unevenness in the performances across the large ensemble. But it was an entertaining evening with a solid finale piece of "One". And impressive that the 2+ hour show had no intermission.

The restrooms were clean when I visited at the start of the evening. I'd come back for shows considering it's so small. The only complaint, exit was slow and crowded even though there were plenty of exit options but they were kept close, leaving one bottle-neck exit out the main doors.

The theater is located in downtown Saint Paul with lots of neighboring restaurants and bars if you want to pre or post show party. There is no designated parking area but there is paid street parking (free on Sundays and after 10pm) as well as plenty of paid parking lots and ramps nearby. There is a slightly raised platform with a railing that I always try to snag a spot at as it offers a great view (especially for us short people). Most of my pics are taken from that exact spot. The floor can get pretty cramped but most of the crowds I've encountered have been very friendly. The theater itself is old but beautiful. The upstairs area shows exposed beams and bricks which I think adds to the charm!

Performance review:…read more I paid for a ticket to see their spring show, which was delightful! It's too bad they don't use a local theater tho, bc the sight lines are not great. The performance was in their regular studio, with some risers, but not enough to be able to see the dancers' feet most of the time. Still, I enjoyed myself and I like to support local arts. I'm 99% sure that I was the only ticket purchased by someone who didn't know a performer. They had concessions, which were pay cash for tickets and then trade tickets for food (and maybe games?) But either someone didn't do the math well, or they were just being really weird bc they made us buy tickets in a number that we had leftovers but couldn't use them...without buying even more.

There were four different sections of the concertos and they were well written and played by each musician. A great evening and there was a 20 minute intermission.
