I then got no less than 10 phone calls saying "please give us a call so we can talk about your situation. Some called more than once. Lakeland Heating and Cooling (Jason) was nothing like that... $1270 flat rate to replace the water heater. Yes, thats how he replied in his email.. as I requested. Specific had come out to my home before, a few years ago, and did a great job fixing the central air unit, but I couldn't remember the name of the company and I couldn't find the receipt. So I called another place. Huge mistake. They came out and said the whole thing was no good and couldn't be fixed, then they sent a salesman out, who quoted me $7,700 for a new one. Well, I'm old but I'm not stupid. I sent him on his way and searched frantically for the old receipt from Specific Heating and Air Conditioning. I found it and called immediately. Andy came out right away, looked at the unit and said, "Yeah, I think I should be able to fix it," which he did in a very short amount of time. Perfectly. The fire department was called and we (me, my wife, and our 3 kids) were without heat on a 20 degree night. The following morning I made a few inquiries just hoping to get something scheduled and I was surprised to find they had someone available almost immediately.
