Our family had a difficult situation where hot water heaters were installed incorrectly and were at risk of damage from our day to day water use. They also had no way of doing maintenance like flushing. We were in a bad place but Henry and his team put a huge effort into re-doing the project and correcting the previous issues. The reinstall was only slightly pricier than the initial install, and we feel way more confident in the work now and the fact that our heaters will last. We're going to use ABC for our maintenance like flushing and any maintenance or repairs we need on the units in the future. We are also going to switch from Four Seasons to ABC for work on our regular gas heaters due to the level of service and price. Be ware please don't deal with this company. ABC is a rip off and will steal your money. Henry the owner stole 500 dollars of my 1000 dollar deposit. I Zelle Henry 1000 dollars. ABC didn't do any work for me nothing. They didn't even come to my home to give a free estimate. I sent ABC pictures of my old ac unit and furnace. He called around to find me prices. I thought Henry was a nice honest person but he is not. Don't give this company any money down and change your mind. I am a nurse and work hard for my money and this company is not honest and STOLE my 500 dollars. Henry told me if I don't text him saying I agree to him taking 500 hundred of my dollars he would keep the entire 1000.00 dollars. I told him I wasn't agreeing to that and wanted my money... I had no choice but to do it if I wanted at least 500 of my dollars back. I went to GMS heating and cooling and they did a fantastic job and at very reasonable price. I highly recommend GMS for an AC or heating unit. My ac unit came with an 10 year labor and parts warranty. I saved 3000 dollars from the last price ABC Climate Control gave me. If I could give ABC Climate Controls 0 stars I would cause they don't deserve 1 star. read more

ABC is a company that wants to steal your money with a smile. Their prices are blown out if proportions. The technician gave me a quote of $1100 to repair 2 items, blower motor and mother board. A complete unit will cost $800. I am under insurance warranty and he wanted me to add $500 on to of the $600 that they will pay him.I ended up taking another company who did the work for $520. Don't get near them and go to someone else. Bad service, late, overpriced , nasty!!! The technician came at 4 pm instead of 11am. Read the reviews, it's true, the same pattern, be ware!!! read more

Had a couple of neighbors that got their A/C condenser busted open over $30.00 worth of copper which caused 3,000 in repairs !! Chicago summers can get pretty brutal! My central AC Unit went out and I had a heating and ac company come look at my Ac unit . They guy said I need a whole new unit! So I told him have a nice day and called a few more company's! Thank god I finally ran into an honest business . I spoke with Henry the office manager and within hours they had a specialist come to my house and take a look at my air condition. They said Abe you need a new contacter and their price was very reasonable . After checking everything out ..a few hours later my AC was blowing out cold air like new! This place is horrible. I called this place because my heat stop working. When the guy got here, he wanted the service fee up front when I thought they get that after they see if they can fix the problem. So the guy let me know what the problem was and how much it will be, so I told him that I wanted to get a second opinion. So after that was said, the guy went back into the furnace and was doing something when he shouldn't of been doing anything else. So the next guy I called couldn't fix it because the person that was here before jacked it up even more. I would give ZERO stars because they don't deserve one. read more

Ok I guess. So I'm giving them 2 stars because four season's cages were double the price of this place. However, we had several issues. We recently had central air installed and we didn't want to take any chances with our stupid neighbors trying to steal our unit. My husband was adamant that we get a cage, we shopped around and found Gorilla Cages. My husband called and at first they seemed very professional and all about the business. We set up the appointment and they advised us that they prefer to be paid in cash, not too happy with that but ok whatever. The day of installation my husband called to confirm and they inform us the price is higher than what they originally quoted. Hold up,wait a minute, WHAT! The guy tells us that since they are coming out on a Saturday its a $50 upcharge. At this point i'm ready to cancel. We've been homeowners for 10+ years and I have never, ever dealt with a company that changes the quoted price right before they come out, so UNPROFESSIONAL! My husband tells them he will call them back because neither of us was happy with this new charge. Mind you the cage is already $550! He calls back and the guy says oh i talked to the owner and we will honor the original price. I was leary to go with them because I don't like games, however we were in a pinch so we went with them. Well they were late. Then the installation guy was so clumsy, kept forgetting tools and made so many extra trips to his car, couldn't find our receipt and told us to just pay him and he'll bring it back (uh no, i'm paying you cash, i need a receipt Now!) He eventually found our receipt. The cage looks decent, I hope it holds up for as much as we paid for it. This is my honest review no matter what type of incentive is offered. read more

On a cold Thursday night my furnace shut down. That same night I had taken the panels off the furnace to reveal a code signaling that the pressure switch was not working properly. It was my understanding after looking up the meaning of the code online that it doesn't necessarily mean the pressure switch is the problem, it could be something else. I called ABC Climate Controls the next morning and just like most reviewers stated, dispatch was very courteous and responsive to my needs. A tech came out the same morning and paid him upfront for a service call which was $85. I stood and watched as he checked the system thoroughly. He informed me that when everything is working properly but the furnace fail to ignite it has to be a faulty circuit board because apparently it is not sending a signal to the other components to operate. The fee to repair it was $529. I declined the service because that explanation did not sit well with me. I felt since everything else was working properly and the code referred to the pressure switch, it might just be the problem. I called H&Q Heating and Cooling to get a second opinion. Henry from H&Q came to my home and he also thoroughly checked the furnace. Once he located the problem he manually showed me how he knew the pressure switch was the problem. He changed the pressure switch for $200 labor, parts, service fee, etc. My furnace has been operating normally ever since. The ABC tech repeatedly talked to another tech letting him know what was going; however, this would only occur when I walked away, and he would end the call very shortly after I return. This leads me to believe that the ABC tech knew exactly what was wrong but wanted to charge me for the higher end job. I would never use them again or recommend them to anyone. read more

If I could give this company no stars I would. My furnace wasn't working properly so they came out to repair it and said nothing was wrong and charged me $55. 2 hours after they left it stopped working again. They came back out and said they wouldn't look at it unless I gave them another $55 which I reluctantly did. They claimed to find the problem repaired it for an additional $600 and the next day I had the same problem. Guess what they didn't warranty parts that they just installed and said I'd have to take it up with the manufacturer. What kind of company doesn't stand behind there work. The manager Henry needs to learn how to talk to customers and was very rude. I'm still trying to resolve this issue. Worst company I've ever dealt with. Never choose to do business with this company, they are not knowledgeable and they don't warrant the parts they install. Stay away!!! read more

I was in the market for a new furnace, central air and a humidifier and when I called upon ABC Climate and worked out an estimate with Henry and his assistant; things started working out for the good. Today, I have my new furnace, central air conditioning and humidifier all working in excellent standards. Those guys know their work and they are on-time in getting it done.
