I have to say, I love any movie theater that has the padded recliner seats. Don't know why movie theaters didn't do this years ago. Marcus theaters are always clean and well maintained and this location is no different. Theater is nice and warm (it is currently winter). The staff is really friendly and informative. There are a lot of options for food and drinks. They even have beer and wine avaailable. The theaters always have a clear and powerful sound system. The digital projection is very clear.

I had a great afternoon watching maleficent at this theater in the dream loungers. They have every food and drink option available. We got popcorn, nachos, icee's, and pretzel bites. They were all fresh and we enjoyed everything. I'm not saying the food is affordable lmao I'm just saying it's good it's not over the top expensive but it's typical movie theater prices which is not cheap. 10$ for nachos 10$ pretzel bites, 4$ for candy, the icees were 4$ a piece I think. At least the food your buying is fresh and tastes legit versus stale popcorn and stale nacho chips which I've definitely had before.

Thin crust pizzas made to order - piping hot!

Our favorite movie theatre in the suburbs. Online reservations work well most of the time and it's nice to have a specific seat chosen. Lounger seating is comfortable and spacious. We think the prices are reasonable and competitive, especially on Tuesdays for $5. Great food choices available through the cafe, as well as ordinary "movie" options such as popcorn. Cleanliness keeps this from being 5 stars - both in the theaters and in the restrooms. Lots of people coming and going, so lots of trash. Restrooms often run out of supplies even during "off hours," but they're not alone in having this issue.

This theater has been remodeled and they do improve much with the new look. As we all love their recliner chairs, it's just as comfy as sitting in my living room but with ultra big screen and much better speakers! Love it! Down side though, they could do better in cleaning especially around the big recliner chairs. I know it's not easy since people might come in with horrible manners and throw their food and garbage all over, but seeing those old popcorn stuck in the gap when you recline the chair, it does affect how comfortable you feel in general. I'd definitely go back, but since the cleanness has been an issue for me, plus now it's not impossible to find another theater with recliner chairs, this place is not highly unique to offer outstanding movie experience anymore.

Then a few years later, after I was kicked out again, I came here humble and looking for a fresh start. I stated by taking photography from the late John Grady, a mentor, a friend, and an inspiration to me and many others. He was an advocate that lead me to be recognized as the artist of the year by the local paper. Because of this momentum, I ended up attaining three associate degrees from ECC: graphic design, general arts, and general science. The faculty was supportive and communicative, especially in the design department. The onsite computer lab, library, and study areas were great places to work outside of class. Even the cafeteria was reasonably priced and had many options. Administratively, everything was seamless and easy to navigate. I met with humans a few times, but overall, much of the process is online. The only reason for the missing star is the inconsistency of skilled and practicing adjunct teachers. I had a few that were away from their fields for over 20 years, which made some of the knowledge outdated. But I guess all schools have that issue. I highly recommend ECC for everyone!

I attended the Dental Assisting program at Elgin Community College with mixed feelings. The program…read moreitself provides valuable hands on experience and teaches important DA skills, but my experience with Program Director Kim Plate and the administration was honestly one of the most frustrating educational experiences I've had. I previously attended loyal university in Columbia University, so the contrast was very striking unfortunately. The biggest issue involved clinical placement approval. I had already secured future employment and made plans to relocate to New Hampshire, which is why I proposed completing my clinicals at that site. Students are allowed to complete clinicals during fall, spring, or summer semesters, yet I was not informed until the final day of the semester that June 1 was suddenly being treated as a strict mandatory start date. This decision not only affected my education but also significantly disrupted my relocation and future employment plans. The New Hampshire site would have supervised me through licensed dental assistants and an on site oral surgeon with qualifications equal to or greater than the ECC observer who would normally conduct one observational shift. Despite this, Kim Plate denied the site without giving any clear or reasonable explanation. Multiple compromises were proposed, including Zoom observations and doctor check ins, but she appeared completely unwilling to work toward any solution. The oral surgeon personally emailed her explaining how the decision would negatively impact the office workflow and never even received a response. Before withdrawing, I had already completed nearly 100 hours at an Illinois clinical site, yet Kim Plate stated those hours would not count. Even after management from the site emailed and met with her expressing that the situation was unfair and unnecessarily rigid, she remained unwilling to compromise, ultimately forcing me to withdraw from the clinical courses. Beyond clinicals, Kim Plate was frequently dismissive, sarcastic, and unprofessional toward students. There were also instances where personal matters regarding me were discussed with other students, creating an uncomfortable environment for both myself and classmates. My entire class brought concerns to the dean and Vice President Anne Marie Schopen. Unfortunately, I did not find Vice President Anne Marie Schopen to be helpful, and despite escalating my concerns, I received little guidance, support, or meaningful assistance. The program can teach useful technical skills, but prospective students should understand that the administration, particularly Kim Plate, can make the experience far more stressful and difficult than it needs to be. If your situation falls outside of the program's rigid expectations, be prepared to strongly advocate for yourself.

We sat in the front row, so we literally a few feet from the actors. About 20 people in attendance. The cost was pay what you want, so I gave $30 each for my wife and I. Afterward, you could give more for the actors, so I threw in an extra $20. The theater is a little tucked back from the street. It's small, and you have to go up a flight of stairs to enter the studio. All the people who worked there were nice and helpful. You could buy alcohol at a reasonable price, but I passed, as I didn't want to have to use the restroom in the middle of the performance. I plan on looking up more shows as they come out. I like the small setting and with only 7 actors performing, you could really sense their skills for each story. They also have art you can bid on in the studio, although we didn't place a bid. I'm not an artsy person but I like plays, and the theme was right up my alley. To the actors that performed that night; bravo!!!!
