It certainly wasn't as clean as most AMC theaters we've been to, but that may have been due to a very busy day. The Service was rather slow despite our A-List Membership. I like that it's only a single screen theater, it not only reminds me of the old days but I don't have to worry about sound from a next door theater leaking through. The lobby and bathrooms have a fun collection of old movie posters and headshots, including one of my all time favorite movies - Paper Moon. The Back Lot is new and has comfortable seats, though not recliners. They show more artsy, indie films back there, or movies that have outlived the necessity for the larger seating capacity, and it's cozy. I think it seats 45 people or so. The only drawback to the theater is the bathroom location for the main theater. It's upstairs up a large flight of stairs with narrow steps. My mom hates going up the stairs, even after the film when there's time to navigate the steps. It's definitely a better/quicker trek than the bathrooms at Plaza Frontenac theaters but difficult for people with limited mobility.

The concession stand had good choices (typical ballpark food) that are teams only proved which is great since I feel like movie theatres charge an arm and a leg for concessions. It's an older facility but it also feels like you're stepping back in time to appreciate a newly released movie at a drive in just like it used to be back in the 70-80s. Needless to say we had a really fun and great time and loved the fact that it was family friendly. They did accommodate this and were very sincere and expressed so much concern for the health situation going on with my family. This is the kind of place that I highly recommend. B&B Wildwood clearly represents the meaning of caring and bringing people together vs. just how much you are spending. Unfortunately, our issue also dealt with the staff not just the state of the theater itself. This was so nice when it opened in 2010! It was one of the first theaters in Missouri to launch with 100% digital projection screens and known for its luxury reclining leather seats. Sadly now, pretty much every theater has ripped seats and the bathrooms are unkept every time we visit. I've just watched the theater deteriorate over the years with no new additions or upkeep. They still have a space for private parties and events but I've yet to see anyone book this room with a bar. In this specific experience, we got a combo with a refillable drink and popcorn. During the movie, I went to the front counter to find an employee for a refill and there was no one to be found. I was missing the movie, waiting for at least 10 minutes at the concession counter and could see into a back room so I said, "hello," several times. A man, a customer, viewing another movie walked up to the concession counter and I explained I'd been waiting and there were no employees to be found. I didn't want to keep missing the movie so I went back to the movie without any refill. I really hope the movie theater owners consider renovating a little bit especially because of their investment in the new apartment complex being built directly next door to the theater. The apartments will have brand new mixed use space available for businesses to come in which people will probably visit before or after a movie. I've met the movie theater owners several times and they never seem to be physically present at their actual existing business. Higher expectations for a business in Wildwood!

Themed cocktails. Tickets often only $5 and occasionally free may be purchased online in advance w/o extra fees. My best time at Arkadin was for a screening of Carnival of Souls, which was preceded by a mini carnival behind Arkadin. I hope that happens again.
