David had to wait just a second to check out, but when we saw why... our hearts melted. Our checker Carly had briefly excused herself and taken off at top speed having grabbed a bag left behind by the the last shopper. She chased the customer down in the dark parking lot! I got to see it because I had taken the opportunity to go to get the car. I called David immediately from the parking lot and said "Get a picture of our checker!" (I had tried to snap a shot of her in the parking lot giving the customer the forgotten bag, but Carly had delivered it and returned to her register before I could get focused.) She heard me. "Did I do something wrong?" (She asked.) David assured her, "No, my wife wants to make sure everyone gets to know how thoughtful you are." It's people like Carly who make this such a great place.

Must have been a bad day for her, but there was no call to be so rude. I've been buying my fuel here for decades, but if that's how the management wants to treat customers, I will never return. Our former neighbor, who once owned this station, would have been horrified, I'm sure.
