went in to purchase a bottle of wine and I tried to use a gift debit card, the employee was a complete jerk to me. He told me that they don't accept gift cards. I explained to him that it was a debit card and he snapped back at me and said my boss doesn't allow gift cards. I will never go back to this liquor store again! The lil stock boy is a rude asshole I was short on a dollar to pay for my 2 beers and I told him to cancel my transaction and give me back my money and he said he couldn't because everything in store is final sell he proceeded to point at the paper and I told him I didn't purchase anything the transaction isn't closed and I advised him to help a lady who was holding 8 bottles of Jonas sodas behind me almost dropping them and he said no he had to ring me up and I told him for the second time to give me my money back so I can leave and he can help the lady and he was trying to force me to pay for 2 beers that where over priced so I told him that if wanted to go outside or I will call the cops and he gave me back my money and slammed the beers on the counter as I walked out the store and I apologized to the lady for the clerks rudeness in stealing my money I go back 2 days later with my lady and my son we where still nice to tell him to have a nice day after buying the same drinks and he couldn't even look me in the eye or couldn't say anything like am sorry for my childish behavior read more

I can't give a low enough rating to this place. We have a long time customers. The last few visits there were so bad due to the rudeness of the young man behind the counter. And today the piece of shit had the nerve to tell my wife to hurry up while she was trying to decide on lotto tickets. My wife replied NICELY that she has been coming here for years and he said 'SO WHAT' .so my wife said ' I'll be taken my business elsewhere. So I hope the owner see's this review and other customers and take the business elsewhere too. read more

Amazing place! My car battery died in the parking lot and they helped me jumpstart it! Very very nice.

We stopped by to purchase some beer and they had a really good selection from different micro brew companies. I stay away from the big corporate beer companies and prefer the high end stuff. I wanted to turn my IPA beer into a michilada and they had the big cups with the make your own michis available. They also sell Lottery tickets which I bought some too. read more

Marc's Liquor is easily my favorite liquor store in the Long Beach area. They have a fantastic selection, are always adding new products, and everyone who works there is friendly and knows their stuff. Their selection of bourbon, whiskey, and wine is fantastic! Not to mention, they have an array of snacks and other goodies available, which I appreciate. If you're ever in the area and want to try something new, it's definitely worth stopping by! read more

This is one of my favourite liquor markets. They have everything you need from mixers to seltzer's, liquor, wine and beer. The coolers keep beers cold. Ordered 2 for my boyfriends birthday, only one worked, I immediately complained and he said he'd give me my deposit back, and would call the people he ordered the kegs from originally to see if they could do something about my defected keg. I've been a patron of this store since 1980, I've seen owners come and go over these years along with very good clerks and :or employees of this establishment. The current owners cannot come close to the respect of the customers of previous years but over the past 2 years they have 1 clerk that is fantastic with customer. 3 nights ago I wanted some wine for my dinner and stopped into the store, found the bottle and which was placed on the top shelf of the cooler and had a 25-30 deg slant after pulling my bottle with one hand and holding the door with the other the next bottle slide down hit my foot and broke. Immediately the little stock boy said your going to have to pay for that and was on the phone with what I assume was the owner and 5 seconds later he confirmed I have to Pay? I paid for the broken bottle and left my original bottle. I only stopped in afterwards to say hello to the only friendly person in the store but I'm not going back. read more

This store got completely made over some time ago and it is the bomb. There's one guy who works here quite a bit and he is super chill. He might be the owner, I've never asked. But he's a relatively young dude and he'll chat with you if you want. The store is clean and the stock is pretty consistent, I've actually come across some delicious mixers at this liquor store that keep me going back. This place has that genuine, local feel to it. I just moved to the Lakewood area and stopped in to Marc's Liquor store for some liquid comfort. Bobby, store manager, greeted me with a smile warmer than the July sun on a frigid winter day. The entire staff at this store are very professional and have excellent manners, a rare treasure this close to LA. The prices at Marc's Liquor are consistent and reasonable. I drive 2.5 miles to shop here, when there are at least 6 such stores within 1 mile from me. read more

Remodel is very nice and looks a lot better. Clean and easy to find what you're looking for. Products seem organized and neatly placed on shelves. Parking lot is kind of odd and small but not a big issue because this liquor store doesn't get busy all at one time. read more
