When I stood there looking lost a woman approached me and introduced herself and asked if I needed any help. I explained to her what I was there to do and she not only walked me over to the return kiosk she kindly asked me for my phone and to open it up to the bar codes for the returns and then proceeded to scan and label the returns. She got them all checked in and looked back at me with a big smile and asked if there was anything else I needed and thanked me for coming in.

Thurs nite I was looking at heating instructions and saw on side of package use by July 2025! It was too late to call Physical Therapy and so i was too stressed to sleep and stay awake until 5:30AM on Friday Oct 30 and called to them not to eat and to tell nurses at 7AM. Then I called store customer servive deask and young lady said to bring in remaing 1 and receipt for a refund. I said not sure if someone got sick eating them. She transferred me to store manager he just said thank you for letting him know about it and I asked if would make someone sick eating 15 months past use date? He just said : I don't know...then said nothing more; he didn't say I'll look into it and call you back; I guess was just waiting for me to say goodbye?! Then I called Corperate in PA and the young lady kept telling me over and over she need the numbers at the bottom of my receipt. I kept telling her the #'s? I saw at bottom of receipt and she was getting annoyed at me so I finally just started reading every # from bottom of receipt up...got to the "middle" and she said those numbers. So I read off the #'s then she said you need to space them. Then she was about to hang up and I asked don't you want the lot# use by date and item description? Then I asked for her name she said Kenisha I asked her to please spell it...she again got annoyed and I apologised and said I wear hearing aids.

When I did go pick up her meds, the staff were unfriendly and seemed annoyed that I'd come to get the meds rather than have them delivered. 2 months ago, they sent her a text that they had planned to deliver her meds that day (not sure why they ignored my request to pick them up) but had only discovered that day that she needed refills, so her delivery would be delayed for 5 days. No apology, no offer of emergency meds to cover her, I guess she was just supposed to keep her blood pressure down with the power of her mind. Last month, again they ignored my request to not have her meds delivered and sent her a text that the delivery was on its way. No one showed up. She called the next day to ask where her meds were and they said they would be delivered the following week. Again, no apology, no emergency meds. I'd had enough and went to another pharmacy to transfer her prescriptions. The new pharmacy called me and said that Akron Health Mart Pharmacy had actually refused to allow the transfer until I called to tell them why. So, I did. She's now with the new pharmacy and we are so glad to be done with these folks. Please, save yourself the headache and go anywhere else.

If I didn't know better I think she was high or something. She works in the pharmacy yet has no idea about anything. Common cold medicines. I said I wanted Mucinex with decongestant and pseudoephedrine. She's like we don't have that we only have pseudoephedrine. The pharmacist who looks overworked and burned out, I was able to yell to her. You don't have congestion and pseudoephedrine together back there? She said you mean Mucinex D yes I said. Of course they have it. Pearl had no idea what she was looking for what she was giving me nothing. I got the Mucinex. I wanted the 600 mg and 60 mg but I was never asked what I wanted they just hand it to you and act like that's all they have. The Customer Service is basically you're an irritation. Why are you here is the feeling I got. The one bonus this place has going for it is it is a 24 hour pharmacy

This is a good place to pop into when you forget something at the grocery store. Plus they have a red box if you're into that. Also they have a drive thru for the pharmacy which is convenient and they have good hours open really early and close really late. LOVELY Monday Jan. 12, 2026: fill in…read morepharmacist -I have used Highland Square Akron Pharmacy for 20 years never had a problem NEVER this week (a temporary pharmacist on duty) the way I was treated was horrendous, I actually cried when I got off of the phone, I have never had anything like this happen before, the disrespect, I was a wreck the entire day. There was 1 staff member that was not a regular also and both women were just awful to me. My doctor was forced to call the pharmacist 2 times to get my prescription set and admittedly my doctor was upset because she knows me and I was upset. how it ended? the TEMPORARY Pharmacist told my husband who went to pick it up that she "didn't like the way my doctor talked to her", so she refused to fill my prescription. AND I NEEDED IT. I found a local pharmacy open til' 8:00pm, my doctor made a 3rd phone call for me to the new pharmacy and thankfully I got my medication there at 7:55pm. AGAIN - my doctor referred to the pharmacist as 'a floater' not knowing I already knew she was not a usual staff member, but regardless, my dr. was rude to her so I had to go w/o my medication? My calm, cool, collected, extremely kind husband called me from the parking lot after the final attempt and he told me he raised his voice and yelled at the pharmacist, told her she was unprofessional and causing his wife undue stress, among other things. I was beyond stressed because he never raises his voice, he is the most calm person I know - and he hit his limit with this TEMPORARY pharmacist. In the wee hours I got the app for the pharmacy I ended up getting the meds from and I electronically transferred all of my prescriptions to that place, I can't fathom having to go through anything even close to what I went through yesterday. We are going to be writing up a formal complaint and making phone calls but I need to calm down first, but this review I can do, so there it is.

They were nice enough and when I finally got ahold of my Dr's office and they got the fax they were pretty wquick to fill it so I could get back on the road. Was clean and bright, the staff in both the pharmacy and front registers was friendly and accomidating. Not sure when I would get back to Ohio to come again, but it was nice to know it was there when I needed. Located a quick few blocks from the highway made it very convenient.

After 2019, this pharmacy became a complete nightmare to deal with. Where do I start? From the "meal breaks" where no person is available in the pharmacy from a certain time to a certain time at least an hour which varies depending on who is there and how they are feeling that day. To days where you go to the drive thru pharmacy and it is randomly closed because of staffing issues. Some of these issues I could understand in late 2019 all the way until 2021. After 2021 up to present day, this place has used that "Covid" excuse as a means to continue a pattern of utter laziness and nonchalant way of conducting business. If a business is understaffed.....hire more people. If people are underqualified....train them. I paint for a living, I don't need a pharmicist to give me helpful hints on how to do my job, why do I have to give advice to pharmacists or managers of Walgreens? I do my job and I do it well, why can't they do their jobs and do them well? Other issues besides being randomly open at all different times and days would be: being out of stock of certain medications and not being able to get them for weeks (I am not exaggerating.....weeks!) I was a customer for many years, I explained that I was taking my prescriptions to Giant E. and they didn't seem to mind at all. Actually, I was convinced that employees and management want people to leave and take Rx elsewhere because it lightens their workload. I have not been happier since I took my Rx to a different pharmacy. I think upper management might want to look at this particular location. I am not certain about other locations but this one is absolutely horrendous.
