DAMN. I really have to defend Marc's! Been going here for 12 years. There is no mold on his cigars, it's called PLUME. READ BELOW. Only a bonafide-moron / novice would think it was mold. Marc or Duke as some call him, know's his sh*t. His family has been selling cigars for generations. He ages them perfectly. I've been to every two bit cigar place in the Philly / SJ area, Marc's is the best quality! "Plume, appears as a white dust on the surface and may have a bit of a sparkle. This occurs when the oils within a cigar come to the surface and crystallize. Plume may also appear as a haze on the wrapper. Unlike mold, plume is always white or light gray and tends to cover the entire body. The oils then dry to create a white powder on the outside of the cigar. Some avid cigar smokers prefer to only smoke cigars that have aged to bloom. You can just easily brush it off prior to smoking." read more

While searching for some nice cigars, I came across this shop. I assume that they were not letting customers inside of the store due to COVID-19 which I completely understand and respect. I arrived at the door which currently has a phone number posted and directions to call and pick up your order on the second floor. So I went back to the car to place my order. When I called the number posted on the door there was a horrible high pitched sound. Initially I believed that it was some type of alien life form! No phone should make that sound. It was terrible and sounded like scraping metal. Or for anyone who is a Harry Potter fan, you might relate it to the sound of a Mandrake. I disconnected the call because the sound was UNBEARABLE and tried calling again. (I'm not blaming the business for the noise, although it definitely contributed to my negative experience). The person who answered the phone did not introduce himself but simply said "Hello?". Off to a very unprofessional start in my opinion. I was also looking to purchase a pack of cigarettes so I began by asking if I could get a pack. He rudely pointed out that "We don't sell cigarettes. We sell cigars. Go to Wawa.". When I responded with, "Ok, no problem, I'd also like to purchase some cigars" I waited a few seconds for a response. There was no response. He hung up on me after telling me to go to Wawa!!!! How rude! I am disappointed by the amount of disrespect I received from a 25 second phone call. At that point I was mortified by how I was treated and decided that Wawa deserved my business. The person behind the counter at Wawa was kind and respectful. I had a lovely interaction there. This is the type of service I prefer. There's too much negativity in this world so I hope you make the right choice by not supporting Marc's Cigars. read more

On vacation and decided to treat myself to a new cigar other than the ones I brought. Went in and the guy was abrasive and borderline rude. Amazing selection of cigars with Fuentes and Cohibas except there was MOLD ALL OVER. In each cabinet there were cigars with mold on them, did not purchase anything and will be avoiding this spot in the future for health concerns. read more

The most laid back cigar lounge I have ever been in. There stock is well kept and beautifully aged and the ocean breeze that drifts though the open windows combines with the soft texture of the leather couches and you are transported. Being a female cigar smoker I love finding a place that isn't too much of a "boy's club" and Marc's always makes me feel welcome and it is also the reason I go back every time I'm in Ocean City. read more

I am not sure how people have given this place such great reviews. I stopped in there today, and will say this place is one of the worst cigar stores I have ever seen. The selection was mediocre at best, and saw mold growing on the outside wrappers of numerous cigars in several different humidors. The person who was working never looked up from his phone to ask if I needed help or was looking for something in particular. I am by no means a cigar snob, but would not even consider buying anything from this place seeing the mold issue on the cigars. Left without making a purchase since I have never seen a place like this in all the year I have been buying cigars. read more

Great selection of cigars and merchandise, yet has horrible customer service. The gentleman servicing the shop clearly locked the front door for reasons unknown. When my friends and I knocked on the door the gentleman came out cursing and yelling at us. Very unsatisfied. read more
