We had spinach dip, which was the best we have ever had. My wife had pork chops. The portion was enough for two meals and the flavor was delightful. I had the ribeye, medium rare. It was cooked perfectly and very tasty. We will be back!

Whatever happened to "CUSTOMER SERVICE"??? First time we…read morehave been to "Brothers Bar and Steakhouse". We eat out almost every day. We are local residents. I will admit, I parked on the wrong side of the patio. There was a door that appeared to be an entrance. I saw no Handicap Parking and thus parked there at the door as it was very convenient (we are 78 and 79 years old and have difficulty walking). We got out of the car and walked up to that door, and I attempted to open it, but it was locked. Thinking they were not open, I turned around to return to the car but then I heard someone attempting to unlock the door. I stopped and turned around, and the door opened and there were two people standing there. The female was somewhat smiling and said she was trying to unlock the door. The male said to come on in. I did ask the female jokingly, "been unlocking doors long (or something to that effect). I noticed on the door a sign stating, "emergency exit only". He said the main entrance is on the other side of the patio but to come on in there. I asked if I need to move my car and if we can exit at the same door and he replied, "leave the car and we can exit at the same door". I ordered a ribeye steak, medium well, but it arrived well done. I informed the server but went on and ate about half of it. The server brought me invoice which had a $6 discount on the $29.99 price of the steak which was a nice gesture. I paid with cash and he returned with a different invoice which shows the amount of change. I asked to see the original invoice as it shows a different amount. I failed to notice it shows the amount due if paying with a credit card. That seems to have upset someone and another person brought me that invoice. We then got up to leave and asked if we could leave through the door we entered and was told very emphatically, "NO". That is for "emergencies only". When I mentioned that I was told we could and tried to point out the person that told me that, about 4 people approached us and practically threw us out the front door. That caused us the walk out and around the patio area in the rain to get to our car. Needless to say, we were treated with disrespect and we were very embarrassed. If the overcooked steak had been the only issue, we likely would return. But when management and staff treat me like they did, I will NOT GO BACK. We will certainly tell friends and family the same.

Because of that atmosphere, I was honestly a little disappointed there was no complimentary bread like you get at a lot of higher end places. It is a small thing, but it felt noticeable given the vibe they are going for. We started with the loaded fries appetizer for $14.99. Flavor wise, it was good. The brisket and aioli worked well together, and the sliced jalapeños added heat without overpowering the dish. Unfortunately, the fries themselves did not live up to the rest of the flavors. The choice of fry just did not work for me, and it ended up holding the whole dish back. With a better fry, this could have been really solid. The seating was another downside. The chairs were uncomfortable, with curved edges that pressed into my kidneys the entire time. It reminded me of sitting in a high school classroom desk rather than relaxing at a restaurant. Service wise I didn't really know who my server was, maybe they switch? I ordered the mac and cheese and felt pretty neutral about it. I was not digging it, but I was not hating it either. It tasted more like Alfredo than traditional mac and cheese, which was not what I was expecting. The shrimp, however, were good and easily the best part of the dish. Overall, I still had a good experience. The atmosphere is nice, and while a few things missed the mark, it was not enough to turn me off completely. The restrooms are located on the side and not near the Hucks sign, which is good to know. I would return.

I was immediately greeted by friendly Chop Shop associate Victoria. I ordered a sandwich to go for my wife. She wanted the Grinder sandwich. This came with ham, turkey, salami, provolone, mayo, house greens, tomato, onion, banana pepper, oregano, and red wine vinaigrette on multigrain-sliced bread. She also wanted the strawberry ginger lemonade. She said the sandwich was a really good size (meaning that she could only eat half) and shared it with our daughter. They both said it was delicious and both rated it 9 out of 10 for the same reason. They would have liked the sandwich on a hoagie roll instead of the bread. They said nothing was wrong with the bread, except that they both felt the sandwich would have been better on a hoagie roll if that had been an option. I was here for a Yelp event. I ordered one of the Made For You bowls, the Hot Honey Chicken bowl + Hummus. It came with brown rice, house greens tossed in red wine vinaigrette, cucumber, tomato, banana pepper, red pepper hummus, hot honey sauce, Greek yogurt sauce, and house-baked tortilla chips sprinkled with Parmesan. I had the chips on the side because I wanted my bowl gluten-free. The bowl was delicious. I would definitely get it again. I also had the strawberry ginger lemonade, which is freshly made as needed, since I saw Victoria juicing ginger for another batch of lemonade while I was eating. All of the other Make It Original options sounded delicious, too. I plan on returning to try more of their bowls. Overall, this was a great experience, and we definitely recommend the original Chop Shop.
