Best Pizza and Greek Food around! Family owned and maybe a bit slow, but it is always good. The Gyro's are excellent!

The gyro is good, lots of other Greek options, and the pizza is the best in town.

Okay to start things off I want to clarify that this is mainly just a "Pizza Review" more than…read moreanything else of course, but I'll say a few other comments about the restaurant to begin with.. Atmosphere (7.4) - Nice! Clean! Plenty of Seating (You definitely don't get the "I'm too Crowded" feeling here.) It was busy evening for them, and even so, I didn't feel like our group was pressed together tighter than two coats of paint. Service (A Solid 8.1) - The staff here was polite and very attentive. They checked in on us enough and didn't go overboard with it. I can't stand it when I'm at a restaurant and I feel like the server is either "camping out" at my table, or if I give my drink order and then never see them again. Servers have to find that "Middle Ground" when checking on their tables, and this place did. My drink never got completely empty, and that speaks volumes these days. Now to the main reason we're here.. The main reason I went.. The Pizza The Brick: Pizza (5.7) - (For future reference) I'd usually give at least a 6 to a Pizza place, if I would specifically go there for their Pizza alone, but this.. was regretfully not the case here. One thing that kills their Pizza right off the rip is the "flop". Right away after picking up a slice, it looked as Sad to be to be in my hand, as I was, about having to eat it. If I pick up a slice, and it immediately goes "vertical" things are already off to a bad start. Especially if while holding said slice, all the cheese is steadily falling off and onto my plate. This slice flop was certainly not due to the crust though. After all the cheese fell off, the crust sprung back to attention like it was just taking a quick nap underneath. Even still, the crust was too chewy and lacked any of that "crisp crunch" that's always hoped for. The crust is the base people!! Without a good "foundation" you can't build up anything right? Believe it or not, there is also such a thing.. as Too Much cheese on a Pizza. You can't just toss three pounds of cheese on a Pizza and that make it "good". Eating two slices of this Pizza I had, would have put your colon in a guillotine choke for a week. But there was also too much oil coming off of it.. (However this could very well help your colon get out of that choke mentioned previously.) When having a slice, I don't want to feel like my pizza has a hole in it's oil pan. I'd prefer not to be forced to "Drip Dry" my slice before eating it you know? The sauce had a decent taste but was too runny, and had undoubtedly been in discussions with the cheese about escaping from the "hold" the crust had on them since it came out of the oven. All in All.. not a Bad Place. Looks to have a well stocked Bar with a couple of select Bourbon and Wine choices. I just wouldn't go out of my way for the Pizza. But like the saying goes.. "opinions are like A** Holes".. this is just mine. Go see them and try it for yourself.

Street parking in front of the restaurant (on the square itself) is limited). The restaurant is a long, deep single room with the kitchen at the rear. There are booths along both walls and varying size tables in the middle. It was fairly crowded when we visited and the room can get noisy. It wasn't unpleasant, but don't come here expecting a quiet dining experience. We had one main server but they also tended to tag-team food delivery, water or coffee refills, etc. Service was good. We both got combos (half sandwich and half salad). We agreed that the salads were still larger than we expected even at half-size. I got some variant of a BLT as the sandwich, and liked it. The salad (primarily spinach with other interesting veggies) was good. I usually like balsamic vinaigrette dressing. The version here was really strong and slightly bitter. I'd go with some other dressing if I came back. My wife liked her meal (she had different sandwich and salad variants as well as a strawberry-based dressing that she liked). Prices were quite reasonable, too. We don't make it to Carrolton frequently, but I'd definitely be open to eating here again next time.
