I had Marcos on a previous trip and enjoyed it so much we tried again. I called in two pizzas for carry out and was told it would be 30-40 minutes. I thought this was a little absurd for carry out but ok. At 35 minutes, I walked into the restaurant, and waited in line to get my order. After 5 minutes it was my turn. I gave him my name, and he looked at me like I had 4 heads. He said "I don't have you." I said "excuse me? I ordered two pizzas 40 minutes ago on the phone." He then looked for my order in the system and said "I don't have that." I showed him where I called and he said "did you speak to me?" Like I have any idea who answered the phone when I ordered. Marco's of Ooltewah does a great job of getting your pizza to you. If you order online it really speeds the process up because they can be making pizza instead of answering the phone. When we do call in an order they are always cheerful, courteous and they get it right. The same is not true of Marco's in Santa Rosa FL. We go to Marcos in Pace all the time so we decided to try this one while in Destin. The place is filthy. The tables are dirty, the restrooms and dirty, floor was dirty, the glass was dirty. It was not because the store was busy. There was no reason for this. The ice maker was not working and we were not told about until after we placed our order. (They did give us free bottled 3 liter soda to make up for it.) The bathrooms were disgusting. The women's bathroom had no paper towels. When my usual pizza place was closed, I gave them a try and I've stuck with them ever since. There's a 5 cheese pizza that is amazing here.
