Trust me, I know good pizza. I have worked at 5 different pizza restaurants over the years, make pizza at home, and pizza is my favorite food. I'm a pizza snob. Marco's pizza always positioned itself in my head as "not bad, not the best, but it's alright for a chain", but this location far surpassed my expectations. I was visiting my hometown, and my girlfriend was wanting pizza. This was the closest pizza joint to where we were staying, so we decided to give it a shot. We ordered a large pepperoni pizza with breadsticks and tried all of the sauces (because we love sauce). When entering the restaurant it was lunchtime. We decided to dine-in at one of the tables (which is something I have never done at a Marco's), because we were very hungry and the restaurant was spectacularly clean. The young man who took my order was very energetic, and very knowledgeable about the menu. While we were waiting, my girlfriend and I took notice of how fast and energetic the employees would answer the phone. I even said to her, "Dang, how much are they paying these guys?" It took about 15 minutes for us to receive our order, and it was piping hot. The pizza was superb! The best I have ever tried from any Marco's Pizza. The crispiness and butteriness of the crust was balanced, as was the sauce to cheese ratio, they didn't skimp us on the pepperonis, it didn't come out overly greasy, and everything tasted very fresh. I even asked the manager (who turned out to be the new owner as of March) why it tasted so much better than the other locations I've been to. Apparently, if you follow everything by the book, the way the franchise intended it, the pizza always comes out that way. The breadsticks were good, they were breadsticks, hard to disappoint there. We ordered all of the sauces, because there was such a large variety (and we love sauce), we couldn't help but try them all. I highly recommend the Jalapeño Ranch and the Blue Cheese (if you're a blue cheese guy like me). All in all, I was pleasantly surprised by the cleanliness, the service, the quality, and the value provided by this establishment. I will definitely be returning again next time in town. I may be a pizza snob, but Marco's Pizza on Roswell Road is my new go-to pizza spot in Marietta! read more

I've ordered from this location for almost 10 years. Never more. I ordered 2 pizzas at 11:30am this morning and after half an hour past estimated delivery, I tried to call the location....it would hang up, not ring. I tried 15 times, then drove down to the location. They weren't busy. I inquired about my order and they said it was out for delivery. No apology at all. I mentioned their phone not working and the guy said it hasn't rung. No shit! I returned home and waited an additional 40 minutes before the driver arrived. Needless to say, the pizza was luke warm. I didn't take it out on him, but the service here is worse than any I've EVER encountered in my 62 years on this planet. read more

Pizza is always go to for Friday nights! This particular location is located in pizza right off Roswell by Starbucks and Walgreens. It is easy to find. Plenty of parking. There is also a cleaners right next door. Marco's sits on the very end. We always order the large pepperoni pizza for carryout. This time I was lazy and didn't feel like it with all the rain. We ordered to go but had to increase order. We decided to add the Meatball Bake. It sounded pretty tasty. We had the pizza and saved the bake for the next night. The pizza with garlic crust was good as always. There were a few slices left. I cooked some spaghetti to go with it. It was a little salty but pretty good. I would order it again. I called Marco's Pizza Corporate and left several messages regarding a complaint on their Marietta (Georgia) store. I received no response. My wife and I called the local Marco's and ordered a pizza to be delivered. Several minutes later we received an automated text that our order was cancelled. I drove to the store and the person (who said they were the Manager) told me that it was an error of the system. I, then, asked why it hadn't been delivered since it had been long beyond the time stated that it would be delivered. He said that they didn't have a delivery driver that night. I, again, complained and he told me to order my pizza from someplace else. I drove to Papa John's, who treated me as an appreciated customer. Sad that Marco's Corporate doesn't care enough about their customers to even return a call. read more

I picked up Marco's version of a "New York" style cheese pizza and cheesy bread from here the other day. Called my order in, I was having problems with the online ordering, and hopped in the car to pick it up in 15 minutes. Service was good and helpful, I got great specials over the phone, and I was also offered their punch card at the store. Tried a cheesy bread stick in the car, it was good. Got home and of course immediately opened the box to try a slice of pizza....however the grease that was sitting on top of my pizza deterred me for a moment. I grabbed a couple of paper towels and blotted as much as I could off. So after the grease was gone, I then tried a slice of pizza, and it was pretty good. The sauce was bold and tasty, and the cheese was melty and yummy. It's just points off for that grease sitting on top of my pizza. The slices were foldable, but not really NY style in my book, but it was still tasty. I foresee coming back to try another pizza one day. read more

Placed a pick up order, when I got there, the manager told us that one of the pizzas had bubbles and it doesn't look how it should so they were remaking another pizza at no charge. 5 min later the manager walked over the counter with the pizzas and opened them one by one to show us the delicious pies. I stopped in for lunch the other day for the first time. It is a small place and it was fairly empty but very clean and new-looking, and I was greeted immediately. "Welcome to Marco's Pizza!" (Not like Moe's) I took a second to look at the menu, not knowing exactly what I wanted (many choices), so the guy at the counter offered me the lunch specials: Wings, sub, pizza, etc. I must have been feeling saucy (har har) because I went with the pizza. For less than $7 I got a "small" one-topping pie (6 slices, maybe 10 inches?) and a soda. Way enough for one meal and a snack later! Not a bad deal at all. Though on my receipt I did notice that the small was *normally* around $10, which is not an amazing deal, and unfortunately, they serve Pepsi, not Coke. I waited a reasonable 10 minutes for the pizza to be made. They claim they use fresh dough and cheese - not frozen. They have a TV on, and they leave the remote out for anyone to change the channel. I had to take a call for work so I asked for the pizza to-go (told them I had to go to the car to plug in my phone - and also for privacy) and the gentleman offered to bring the pizza out to my car! I waited inside anyway and when he handed me the pizza, he asked if he had given me a frequent buyer card (he had) with which I can buy 7, get one free! That's pretty neato! I actually didn't even let it cool down before I started stuffing it in my face. It was very good; hot, melty, cheesy, gooey. All in all, good pizza at a-ok prices - and the service was excellent. This pizza joint is located on roswell road in the same plaza with a Starbucks. This location has an indoor dine in area, which is a plus. I have been having pizzas from this franchise for many years and had great experience at the other locations! We usually order delivery from this location and had great experience except the food temperature. We did received a wrong delivery one time, the manager Brooke promised us one complimentary pizza, never happened no matter how many times I tried to call them to make an order. The coupon code from survey for one free bread stick is not applicable for this location either. This time, we decided to dine in to have a pizza with docent temperature. The front cashier took our order and handled our payment with her hands! Things were pretty smooth until this moment. The cashier gave the receipt back to me to sign and just took off to the kitchen without saying anything to us like the time estimate or giving us our drink cups. We were a bit confused and had to leave the signed copy on the counter. Well, just because of that, we were able to see how our pizza were made. She didn't wash her hand after handling our order and started to make our pizza with her BARE hands. We were shocked by what happened and wanted to a new one made with decent hygiene standard. The same thing happened again... I guess they only put on gloves when they handle meats... Anyways, we were not able to get refund and had to dump the pizza. Now we are looking for a new pizza joint in the area. Will never go back to that location. read more

This place is great. I started eating here just after they first opened. Reluctantly to "try and new place" and boy was I surprised. The staff is super friendly, and the lunch specials are fantastic and keep me coming back weekly when I can. They are very accommodating if something isn't right. Every time I bring a new friend in for lunch, they are pleasantly surprised and instantly hooked too. I think I've had every sandwich at least 3 times and as others mentioned, the pizza is phenomenal too. The last one I got for the family I ate more than my share on the ride home it smelled so good. Keep an eye out for Spinach day too. Bring a can of spinach and they will give you a free spinach pizza (or did when promoted last). I like raw spinach on my sandwich, but sweet Jesus, this Spinach pizza was the truth. If I remember, it comes with grilled chicken, tomaoes and spinach (maybe something else too), look it up and enjoy that and the other Za's that make your mouth water. Don't forget your frequent diner card either (or ask for one). Free pizza after 7 visits. I think I've maxed about 5 of them. read more

Asked for a Deluxe with light on the sauce and delivery. The guy seemed to have trouble finding us plus he took our circular driveway for a HUGE sidewalk. Our pizza was just warm, not hot though we only live 10 min from Marco's. There was barely any sauce on the pizza. Some slices had none. LIGHT on the sauce means you put a thin layer of sauce on the whole pizza. The onions and peppers were not cooked at all. It's like they put them on after they baked it. I'm from NJ and this is the closest thing to real pizza I've had, since moving to GA 15 years ago. Not only is the dough pretty authentic, but the toppings are always fresh and consistent. This, combined with the fact that there's ALWAYS a coupon somewhere, or in-house special (making deals easy to have), and that the staff are always extremely courteous, helpful and accommodating, makes this our go-to pizza place. The only reason it doesn't rate 5 stars, is because it's not Maruca's Tomato Pies, on the Seaside Park boardwalk, on the Jersey shore. ;-) read more

Outstanding Thin Crust Pizza!! I ordered the Pepperoni Magnifico and it was very thin and crisp with a slightly tangy tomato sauce. They used two kinds of pepperoni that were perfectly burnt on just the edges. I am from Ohio where there are lots of the Donato's. I can say that Marcos thin crust is as good or better than anything that I have expereinced. The carry-out box has a ribbed liner that keeps the pizza from sitting in any of the oil. This place is terrible. The first time I ordered from here the pizza was horrible but this place is my only option that is close enough to where I live. I gave them a 2nd chance and this is heres my experience -- a 2 hr wait, in which they got my order wrong and never showed up as well, so I called a 2nd time asking where my food was and they said the delivery guy knocked on my door and no one answered.. If that was the case 1. call my contact number 2. just actually show up at the correct location So i never tasted the pizza that I ordered but if its anything like the first one its probably better off they never showed up I guess. read more

My wife and I really prefer their pizza to the other chains. However I just realized when I order on line I pay a HIGHER price. Ordered a medium pizza with 4 toppings and the price was 15.99. They have a posted price at the store for a large pizza and 3 toppings for $10.99. I challenged the staff on the price and the response was he have "different specials" than are on-line. Great, local delivery pizza! We're newer to the area but have tried a few neighborhood pizza places and hands down, Marco's has become our go-to. Decent prices and specials (especially online). We tend to order vegetarian and have come to really like their white pizzas (béchamel or white sauce base instead of tomato sauce). When I think of great pizza, it has to have an excellent, soft and fresh crust, and most importantly, be extremely flavorful and seasoned. Super cheesy doesn't always mean flavorful. I also tend to like a thinner crust as opposed to pan or thick crust. Our late night pizza cravings have officially been satisfied! We even look forward to leftovers the next day.
