Stop in from time to time to grab pizza here since my folks like Marcos. Ordering online is super easy and fast, plus I love that they give you the option to pay cash in the store. I visited on a busy Friday most recently, but my medium 1-topping pizza was ready when I arrived and che king out was painless. Lots of young people running the store, probably out of school for the summer- but they were professional. This Marcos is conveniently located near a Food Lion, so you can of course buy cheaper drinks there. :)

Look like another pizza you know?

We always get thin crust and never are disappointed by the ratio of toppings to cheese/crust/sauce. Marco's is our default for delivery.

They do not take reservations, so you have to get there to get on list. Today happened to be a perfect Tuesday evening to go; there was no wait. The waitress wasted no time to come over and share all the appetizer and main course specials. She did a great job explaining the dishes and answering any concerns. If she wasnt sure, she made sure to get clarification with any substitutions. Everything we had was very good. Each item was either fresh or well seasoned. After an amazing dinner, we were offered the dessert menu. We all were full but the waitress reminded us that we would get a complimentary teramisu or cannoli for my aunts birthday. We picked the tiramisu. Which was amazing. The ambiance is very warm with low-light dining. Will definitely be returning for special occasions or if company comes to town. See you again Antico

I shared the pesto cappelini with my child-it was not very good, we gave the pesto pasta a 1.5/5 Neither of us had much interest in eating more. My partner had the chicken cacciatore 3/5 rating. This was more palatable however, my husband says it's definitely not one of the best that he's had.. I server was nice and attentive when getting us the drinks, however, they did not check on the food quality once. But towards the end of the meal as my son and I were not touching our food, they asked us if we wanted boxes to go - it was quite obvious. They were trying to do this to free up the table. However, my partner was still working on their dish As we left the restaurant, it was surprising the line of people waiting outside for a table, I hope they had a better experience. The ambience inside felt OK, but it was nothing extraordinary, however, the weight staff all had professional looking uniform.

Our server was also really nice, but it did take us a while to refill our drinks. We were pretty much done eating when he came back around. The food was good, but for what you're paying you don't get a lot of food. I expect bigger portions from Americanized Italian restaurants. I loved the flavor of the white truffle garlic bread but it was a little too hard like it was overcooked. The meatballs were pretty good and had a nice ricotta on it. I absolutely loved the seared scallops though. It paired well with the butternut squash risotto, but then fish definitely could've used more risotto.

It's not ideal if you're on a schedule. We gave it another try Saturday night. There was a 45-minute wait (as expected), so we grabbed drinks and walked through Birkdale's social district. Once seated, it took 25-30 minutes for drinks and over an hour for food. Our server was attentive, so it must have been the kitchen. We loved the food and vibe, but after two slow experiences, we likely won't return. If they speed things up, this could easily be a top spot at Birkdale. BTW... they encourage speaking with management. We didn't since it was so busy and we didn't want to wait... but it looks like they do read reviews.

Review for North Italia…read more has absolutely become one of my staples in Charlotte.** It's located in the heart of South End--a trendy, energetic neighborhood with beautiful outdoor dining--and one of the biggest perks here is easy parking, which, as any Charlotte diner knows, is always a win. Inside, the restaurant is gorgeous. Think large, comfortable booths, warm lighting, fresh flowers, and a lively but polished atmosphere. I always make a reservation through OpenTable--I'm too old to be waiting around to eat, and I might as well rack up some points and perks while I'm at it. One of the things I appreciate most about North Italia is their seasonal menu. It keeps the experience fresh and thoughtful, and you can tell the kitchen is paying attention to ingredients and timing. I usually start with a glass of wine-- a sparkling rosé or a crisp Sauvignon Blanc--something cold, clean, and refreshing. Bubbles are always a good option for me. They serve a delicious focaccia at the table, which I sometimes indulge in, but the dish that truly stands out--the one I still dream about--was a seasonal ravioli with butternut squash and crispy sage. It was beautifully balanced, comforting, and memorable in the best way. Other favorites: * The Caesar salad--perfectly dressed * The arancini and calamari--always solid starters * The pizzas, especially the cacio e pepe * And yes, the desserts are absolutely worth saving room for Brunch here is also a lovely experience. Sitting on the patio, eating alfresco on a sunny Sunday, reminds me so much of what I loved about California--being outdoors, enjoying great food, and taking your time. Thankfully, there's plenty of shade, so it's comfortable even on warm days. They do offer a happy hour. It's not the most extensive in town, but it's perfectly fine for drinks, a pizza, or a charcuterie board with friends after work. What keeps me coming back: * Consistently good service * Clean, beautiful space * Thoughtful seasonal dishes * Easy parking * Reliable quality Yes, it's a bit upscale--but it's approachable, welcoming, and dependable. And when a chef takes the time to create seasonal dishes that appeal to diners with curious palates, that deserves recognition. Bottom line: A polished, reliable favorite in South End that delivers great food, beautiful ambiance, and a consistently enjoyable dining experience.

I'm patient (used to work in hospitality), but when they brought out a bowl of water for the dog with a couple that was seated after us that was too much!! You served the dog before us?!?!? I ordered the chicken piccata and I think with any really sauce heavy dish, angel hair can be a gamble because the temperature of the sauce combined with the weight of the sauce I feel can sometimes cause such a thin pasta to get too soft? Same for the light breading on the chicken, it gets a little soft and everything feels quite one note but I recognize that this is a preferable outcome for some! (Read Bon Appetites article on the phenomenon "Crispy Gone Soggy") The flavor was good overall, it was lemony and tangy, perfect level of salt, the sauce wasn't too thick or thin. I think for me the pasta was a hair too soft and the chicken, while moist and perfectly cooked, had absorbed more sauce than preferable, causing it to lose any textural difference it might have had prior to reaching the table. Overall, not a bad dish by any means. Might not be my thing personally but it was nice to try!
