My husband and I made a phone order for a meat lovers pizza so by the time we got there it would be ready for pick up. Unfortunately, it wasn't. My husband went in to pay and pickup our pizza, but the staff member named Andrew who I spoke with on the phone said he put in the wrong pizza order. He handed my husband an Italian sausage pizza and then took it back and had the kitchen staff member make our original order, the meat lovers. He apologized and rang him up. My husband asked him to bring outside to our car (we literally parked out in front) after it was done. He said of course no problem. However, Andrew left to deliver pizzas and did not communicate with the other staff members our situation. As we peered through the glass and waited, we noticed there was a pizza ready. My husband went in and sure enough it was ours, but no one came to bring it out... Overall, we waited for our pizza so making that phone order was a waste... on top of that the least they could have done was walk over to our car and hand us our pizza. Visited this neighborhood Marco's on the way home from shopping. It was an online order so we just pulled right up. The service was kind and efficient. We were asked if we wanted extra plates and napkins before we exited. The vibe was quiet but the art was nice. A rant. I used to buy pizza from Marco's fairly often, but I stopped after the manager had been acting unfriendly (nice version of my preferred word choice) with me. I just left Marco's attempting to order a large meat pizza -- but with extra oil-soaking cardboard things underneath (since that pizza is generally more oily than the others). As I'm ordering, I'm watching a girl cook pizza while chewing gum and her mouth hanging open -- literally smacking that gum! -- while working and cooking. The guy taking my order said "no guarantees in life" about the oil-soaking cardboard things, so I asked how I can make sure it happens- he said I have to talk to the manager. Out comes the same "unfriendly" blonde girl (there really is a more suitable word than that) who would only put two of the oil soaking cardboard things oars things under the pizza. I left. Marco's pizza is likely violating food safety regulations, allowing their employees to cook pizza while chewing gum and their mouthing hanging open all over the place like that, also lost my business thanks to the AWFUL customer service. I've ordered from here twice lately, both times the Pizza Magnifico. They have other Magnifico pizzas; I chose pepperoni. Then I did "double the pepperoni" AND "double the Old World pepperoni." The Old World pepperoni is awesome! It's crunchy and the edges curl up. The pizzas are VERY oily -- see photos. But maybe that's why they are so good. I tried to place a take-out order on-line but there was no option for paying in cash. The only option was to provide a charge card number which I wasn't about to do for $15.17. After enjoying Marcos pizzas for 5 or so years - 2-3 years at the Bermuda Store, and the last 2 years at the one on Inspirada in Henderson. Today, I ordered an xtra large old pepperoni pizza & a salad. I need to mention that I have consumed pizza countless times since 1957. Today's version had the thinnest layer of cheese that I have ever experienced - It was paper-thin! I called the store and asked for Sean(sp) the Assistant Manager. Told him this story and said I would be there in 15-20 minutes. During the phone conversation, I asked him if his Boss/Manager/Owner had instructed them to put less cheese on their pizzas - To this he said no. I went by and handed him two pieces of the pizza in question in a plastic bag. He inspected them and said they looked normal to him! Again after 5 years of ordering pizza from Marcos, with this time having the experience that I have described, it was very, very frustrating! He offered to make another pizza for me or credit $10 on my next order! The location is not far from our home but it is in the middle of nothing - a new strip mall with lots of new construction around. The restaurant itself is a storefront with a couple of small tables. It seems to be set up for take out and delivery rather than anyone dining in. We decided to go with their special deep dish three topping special ($14). We got Italian sausage, mushrooms and onions as our toppings. A large rectangular pizza with very generous toppings - way more than two hungry guys could finish for lunch. And delish! They were very late on my carry out. I had set it for 4:40 and came at 4:43 figured I'd give them a bit of a grace period so came a bit after. Still wasn't done by the looks of it they hadn't even started it. 4:56 I'm still sitting there waiting and dude comes to check on me and then has it to me at 4:58. 5 minutes after the carry out time but just shy of 20 you gotta do better. Not the end of the world but cmon. I had reservations at green valley at 5:30p so i set it intentionally so i could pick it up for the babysitters in time to head back out to the reservation. The service is always friendly especially since we are unable to order online and have to call in. Did not have high expectations for exceptional pizza considering the area is mostly residential. Got a meat pizza and a Hawaiian pizza (not the chicken Hawaiian). For all you purists just don't read the review concerning the Hawaiian pizza. Meat pizza was a thin crust choice and was topped with sausage, pepperoni, and ham. The crust wasn't soggy and held up nicely. Hubby is from NJ and knows his pizza and was pleasantly surprised. He gave it a thumbs up mostly because the price fit the quality. Not too costly for what you get. The Hawaiian pizza was good. I liked the sauce and it went nicely with the sweetness of the ham and pineapple. We used to love this place when they first opened and would order from them frequently as a nice end of week treat. Well we started to notice since July the quality started dropping. The wings went from a rich red color for their buffalo sauce to an orange color that does not have the same kick. Also the price went up for the same exact pizza we've ordered for a year by 6.95 which we wouldn't have a problem paying if it wasn't for the fact the toppings were less than before and they completely missed adding on one of the toppings on our pizza that we paid for which was a let down. Their online ordering system is not the easiest to figure out, but eventually I was able to order something. The garlic and Parmesan crust topping was delicious, and they are generous with their sauce and cheese, which I like. The sausage is also huge! The pizza is similar to dominos or Pizza Hut.
