Branford it's soo lucky to have pizza place like Marco's pizzeria. THERE IS NO NEED TO GO TO NEW HAVEN! Thank you

Heart Shaped Valentine Pizza

Went to Marco Pizza in Branford today for the first time, lured by the novelty of a heart shaped pizza for Valentine's Day. I can't say enough about every thing from ordering over the phone from a very personable young man, to picking up my pie a perfectly heart Shaped perfectly cooked thin crust masterpiece that is their White Margarita. The gentlemen there proud of their work opened the box to show me the pie before I left. Super Service, Amazing crispy Pizza, what took me so long? A NEW FAVORITE!

We have always been a big fan of Marco's Pizzeria, but haven't been here since the new owners took over. We love the fresh new look to the interior, but that's not all that has changed. The pizza is still a thin crust pizza, but the crust was stiff and bland. The overall pizza was tasteless. We were disappointed that it wasn't the Marco pizza we were used to. House salad was decent.

First time ordering Marco's because Apparently my nephew likes this place, but he's a kid so I should have known better... The pizza was okay. It reminded me of new haven style pizza but it wasn't quite right. They had the thin crust and the slight char but it didn't have that wow flavor. Pepperoni was fine for the kids. Also tried the traditional white Margarita pizza. It was okay. I think the issue was the cheese. Maybe it's the brand or type of cheese they use? I say that because we also ordered salads. The chef salad was ordered without onions but onions were still put in there anyway. Only a little over half was eaten and the rest discarded. I ordered the antipasto salad and it was missing that punch that I usually get from other places . The provolone, salami, pepperoni pinwheels were very mild in flavor. I ate it but didn't necessarily enjoy it. The plus side is that this is one of the few pizza places In Branford where you can order delivery, but I won't be going out of my way to order from here again. It's not bad, but it's also not the quality that I'm accustomed to

Delicious pizza, thin crust but not burnt. We got takeout and tried 6 different pizzas and each one was great!

I had the clam pizza with my brother in law and it was excellent. The service was great and the place was spotless.

We rolled in with a Slice Mob crew, small group, six of us, but honestly, that just meant more time to really dial in on what matters: the pizza. Let's start with the crust, because that's where this place separates itself. * Thin, but not fragile * Crisp on the bottom with a clean snap * Light enough that you don't feel weighed down after a few slices * And just enough chew to remind you this dough was treated right You get that subtle char, nothing overdone, nothing bitter, just enough to bring out that deep, slightly smoky flavor that good apizza lives on. The undercarriage holds up. No flop, no soggy middle. You can fold it, but you don't have to. Now... the star of the show for me: White broccoli rabe and sausage. This is one of those combinations that can go sideways fast if it's not balanced right. Too bitter, it's harsh. Too much sausage, it gets heavy. Too much cheese, it turns into a mess. They nailed it. * The broccoli rabe brings that clean, slightly sharp bitterness * The sausage delivers a rich, savory backbone with just the right amount of fat * The cheese smooths everything out into this creamy layer without drowning the pie * And there's a light touch of garlic that sits in the background and ties it all together Every bite hits a different note, but it all works as one. That's not easy to pull off. And while that was my go-to, the rest of the table wasn't quiet about their picks either. We had a mix, reds, whites, even a seafood pie, and across the board the feedback was the same: this place knows what it's doing. No weak links. No throwaway pies. But here's the part that really sticks with you... It's not just the food. It's the feel. Fran and Carmine run this place like you're walking into their home. No attitude, no rush, no "turn the table." Just genuine hospitality that you don't see enough of anymore. You come in for pizza... you leave feeling like you found a spot you'll keep coming back to. Bottom line: Da'Carmines isn't chasing hype. They're just making really good pizza... and letting that do the talking. And honestly? That's exactly how it should be. Slice Mob approved. Peace through pizza.

These meatballs taste homemade and while I know restaurants make their own meatballs, many of them continue to have more of a mass quantity /restaurant expected taste whereas these taste like someone's grandmother made them. The sauce that they're in equally tastes like someone's grandmother made it. I'm looking forward to trying the rest of their menu and recommend you do too!
