There is a small lobby area where you wait for them to wave you in, which was immediate since my appointment was early in the morning and there was no one else there. The waiting area is really well-divided and seats are assigned by letter for social distancing. At check-in, they confirmed my information and directed me to sit at one of the labeled chairs. Min Jie Lee was my doctor, and she came out immediately. She was so incredibly nice and welcoming and walked me through the test with all the necessary details and patience. The test was not as bad as I thought it would be (no, they don't try to reach your brain) and was done quickly. Dr. Lee let me know I'd receive my results in 2-4 days on my app and via email and off I went! The front desk also covered the garage parking so it was free! If you can go to One Medical, I highly recommend it.

The office is in an older building and is located on the second floor. The ladies at check-in were nice and helpful - I got there around 15 minutes early to fill out my paperwork. Not even 5 minutes later they called me back to a room. The nurse came promptly to do the standard checks - weight, height, etcetera. She was very personable and I enjoyed our conversation. Once she left the doctor came a few minutes later. We realized that I needed a tetanus shot in addition to the physical and I opted just to do it that day. Even the lady doing my shot was quick - it happened in under 10 minutes. I was so surprised - talk about the fastest doctors appointment ever! They also helped me sign up for MyChart so I could see my results from my biometric screening digitally. No complaints from my visit here! This is what a doctor is supposed to be like. He wanted to know how I lived and all about me to make me feel comfortable but also so he could provide better treatment. I've been through many doctors that really only see me as a paycheck, or another number to get through. Painful injections, glossing over symptoms, ignoring concerns, blanket diagnoses - I got sick of it. When I lost insurance in my early 20's and could no longer afford it, I spent a lot of time refusing to go to doctors not just because of the cost, but because of the way I was treated. I recently started dating a nurse, and when he found out I hadn't seen a doctor in almost ten years and was exhibiting some pretty crappy symptoms of anemia and a few other things, he insisted I get it over with and book an appointment. I have good insurance now, and there really isn't any excuse. I finally bucked up and went poking around, and after a few places that told me it would be a month or more before an appointment, I found Chicagoland Complete Healthcare. I was greeted by some of the gentlest office staff who were efficient but certainly not rude whatsoever. I got my initial paperwork done and I cringed, waiting for the judgment and the comments. My anxiety was ready to be treated poorly all over again, but I received nothing of the sort. I was into the office quickly and was seen by Dr. Tyson Stock within minutes, who sat down with me and actually spent the time to understand my concerns, my history, my symptoms, and listened to my fears. We discussed what to update on my records, the tests I needed done, my worries about insurance and a host of other things. He was amazing. I had a test done I didn't want to do but knew I needed to and was shaking horribly (trust me, I felt like an idiot). He made sure to tell me exactly what he was doing, when he was doing it, and there were no surprises. He was kind, caring, and got things done the way a doctor should. I trust him implicitly with my health and while the tests scare me, the doctor's office doesn't. Recommend this place 100%. Dr. Stock is a gem and truly wants to take care of you. I've been tolerating the general incompetence of doctors in this office for ten years, but it's much more difficult to deal with blatant rudeness. As a separate issue, Dr. Patricio is awful about sending prescriptions on time. Some of my medications need to be taken daily, yet Dr. Patricio shows no sense of urgency when sending refills to the pharmacy. A couple of months ago, she was 6 days late sending a prescription to the pharmacy--that was 6 days that I didn't have important medication that I take daily. Despite calling multiple times every day, it took 6 days for her to finally send it. Her behavior is borderline malpractice.
