Amazing food! We are from out of town and wanted to stop and grab something and it's cold outside and mannn was this amazing!

I had high hopes for this place, as there were reviews praising their authenticity, however, I left here feeling quite un-sated. The setting is pretty relaxed. It's open and you get your choice of seating. Our server was very friendly, which was really the only positive of our experience. I ordered the Bistro Medallions, which came with 2 steak medallion wrapped in bacon and seasoned with mushrooms. It was served with a side of chicken alfredo and 2 shrimps. The shrimp was cooked well, but the chicken tasted like the chicken that comes with microwaveable pasta. It had a plastic taste. My sister got their Seafood Special, which included a crab cake with alfredo, seafood ravioli and shrimp. Her crab cake was hot on the outside and room-temperature in the middle and her seafood ravioli was lacking in filling and taste. My boyfriend got the Chicken Marsala Pasta. His chicken was similar to mine in that it did not taste fresh and his pasta was very runny. Overall, it was not a great Italian food experience. Presentation was nice, but their food was lacking and our stomachs did not agree. I hope they prove everyone after me wrong!

    Fine service, eh.

Food is mediocre Italian food, but it wasn't too bad. 2 stars just because service was disappointing. Took a little over 45 minutes to get our food, and it was 3 tables including ours. Another table started to realize that food was taking awhile and started to complain. The look on the servers face was so fake and sarcastic. Home girl needs to fix that face.

Delicious! Clean! Big portions! Tons of options! Home made and made from scratch! I'll start from the beginning. Normally I don't enjoy salad bars because they are low quality and stale, but this one was quite the opposite! The lettuce was fresh and crisp, they had enough vegetable options and amazing house made ranch. I'm pretty sure the croutons were homemade, I could taste the basil. Was very satisfied for only paying 1.99 for the salad. It was just one trip. I got the spaghetti with marinara which was BAKED through an oven with mozzarella on top, tasted amazing. Was almost too much cheese, but I didn't mind it and just took off what I didn't want. The marinara is made in house and was not overly sweet. My fiancé got the Romano pasta dish. He thought it was delectable. The cream sauce was savory and he really enjoyed the capers. The artichokes (and other vegetables) were very fresh and tasty. Being an Italian himself, he gives Marchello's an A for authenticity. Both of our meals came with two piece of garlic bread. Both of our meals were also at least two portions. All in all, We were very happy with the price! Only $20 for the both of us and it was essentially 4 meals.

Been meaning to do delivery for lunch from them for several months. I finally did! Food came quickly (20min) was delicious and fresh! I ordered the vegetarian lasagna with side salad for lunch.

    Large Half pep Half Jalapeños.

I went with my brother to order a large half pep half jalapeños. I don't know if the pizza was raw or undercooked. After we ate it 30 min later I went to quick trip on 31st and Seneca to go use the bathroom and it was like I had eaten Taco Bell. My stomach did not enjoy the pizza because it was like I had a ticking time bomb. I felt a lot of pain in my stomach like I was going to use the bathroom on myself. Never again will I order Marchellos again. If I could rate it a zero based on my experience I would have. I paid for a $20 dollar pizza to clean my colon.

I am not a restaurant snob nor am I a connoisseur of fine Italian food. My experience at Marchello's today at lunch was abysmal. The service was very disappointing. The wait staff never checked back with me nor did he seem to care. To top it all off they wanted to charge me $2.00 for a to go cup. I asked the owner about it and he wanted to argue with me about the fact that the drink was included in the lunch special so they couldn't give me one to go. My chicken Alfredo was good but tasted like the chicken Alfredo at Pizza Hut. Nothing spectacular. My next Italian experience in Wichita will NOT be at Marchello's. The sad thing is that I was looking for catering for my job. Hmmmmm......

Was hopeful after reading reviews but let down again with an Italian restaurant in Wichita. Should have I have known when we ordered the bruschetta and the bread was a half cut hoagie roll with a spread of ricotta cheese and mozzarella on top? The tomatoes looked like they were just cut when we ordered, put into the ramekin and added balsamic-no oil, no basil....terrible and sad attempt at this appetizer. Ordered the Lilly and was loaded with sauce and more cheese on top. paid $1.49 for artichokes and there was 1-2 pieces. it was ok. Husband had jumbo ravioli and said it was okay as well. 2 good comments are that the food was hot (ran through a pizza oven) and they had spumoni ice cream. Great place for cheep so called Italian.

Side salad, eggplant rollatini, italian panini, spinach and artichoke dip, chicken Caesar panini, and cannoli for one.

It wasn't extremely busy for a Friday night; only 2 servers on hand. A tad pricey for what little you get. The lasagna was a disappointment for me (paper thin noodles, mainly sauce and cheese, small portion), the meat ravioli was...ok. Not offered or provided: ice water, or a side salad (extra$). Thought that was odd. Homemade hard rolls and pesto were good. Our server was a tad "off" tonight. The ambience was not the usual experience we expected for a higher end Italian restaurant.

The dishes have a fresh taste, the baked pasta dishes are screaming hot, and they fill your bread basket if you wish. With a couple of glasses of wine, house salads, and two baked dishes, two of us dined for about $60 plus a tip, and the value is absolutely there. It's not a five-star spot - yet - but Amore can absolutely get there. Solid option for Twin Lakes/Benjamin Hills residents.

The format of the menu was unique as it was in newspaper form with the history on the front page, pilot quotes on the back and the menu in the middle. The food: The bread was fresh and delicious with the option of rye or a soft white. With our table of 8, orders ranged from Italian salad with grilled chicken added, Chicken Alfredo, Lasagne w/beef, Chicken Strips and Fries, Fried Shrimp, Pete's Delight, to the Savute's Supreme Piatto. All enjoyed their food and said they would return for sure. Items tasted homemade and didn't taste like your run of the mill items from chain restaurants or places that over charge. The tomato sauce was a nice sweet sauce that didn't leave a metallic taste.

I don't typically leave a…read morereview, especially a bad review, after a single experience, ESPECIALLY when it's a local or family run business. I firmly believe that all businesses, especially restaurants, deserve multiple chances, as every single person and business has "off days." However, after giving Savute's no fewer than 5 chances, I just can't do it anymore. The quality of food is low. They advertise "fresh food" and "it's like coming home for dinner." Is the food "fresh?" Well, the sauces taste like they come in frozen and are thawed daily, and the pasta doesn't taste fresh either...if it's made in house, which I would strongly question, I don't think it's made daily. The steaks taste like lower-quality cuts and they seem to struggle with achieving a proper temperature and sear, as on one trip my wife and I ordered the exact same meal, mid-rare, and our steaks were wildly different, mine being almost perfect and hers looking boiled...almost grey with little sear and very little pink. The salads remind me of the Pizza Hut salad bar that we all grew up with, with dirty tasting lettuce and bland mix-ins. Now, don't take this to mean that the food is horrible tasting, because it's perfectly edible, but the quality just doesn't justify the price (the prices listed here on Yelp are many years out of date); Think Fazoli's quality pasta/sauces at $15-20 per entree. The atmosphere at Savute's is very out of date. They pride themselves on being open since 1944, an impressive feat no doubt, but the restaurant appears as if it hasn't been touched since they moved to the current location in the 50's. Decor isn't something that I typically care too much about, but I don't like to eat somewhere that feels "dingy," and that's how Savute's feels. Not everything about Savute's is bad. The service has always been very good, with friendly, accommodating staff and the food makes it to your table in a reasonable amount of time, and you can tell that they staff have built strong relationships with people/families who have frequented the place over the years, and I think this is clearly reflected in their reviews. When you dine in, look around...the average customer age is probably 65, so I think they've done a good job gaining customer loyalty through relationship-building, because it's certainly not by offering the best Italian food in Wichita.

We both ordered the Chicken Bryan with mashed potato's.  IT WAS HORRIBLE.  The Mashed potatoes were watered down to a point where they could have been sucked up like a milkshake. The Chicken Bryan I would like to say it was a bit better, but I can't because it was worse. It was not Wood-grilled and it had absolutely no wood-grilled flavor. If of anything because of the abundance (gobs of foul tasting liquid running all over the plate) of what is called a lemon butter sauce it was terrible. Finally lets talk about the goat cheese and sun-dried tomatoes that appeared placed on top of the chicken and microwaved to melt just a tad. It was not only disgusting, but tasted as bad as everything else. Finally, when my wife and I got home we could not brush our teeth and rinse our mouths out any faster.  Now lets talk about what was good. In the past we have thoroughly enjoyed the Chicken Bryan at Carrabba's and was looking forward to having it for our 50th Wedding Anniversary because of how much we liked it.  That's the good.  Now for the bad... Sadly, I will never recommend Carrabba's to anyone and I will tell everyone I know about this experience. I made an online wait list request for 5pm and I included the occasion as our 50th Wedding Anniversary. We both wore 50th anniversary ball caps and shirts to celebrate. So, I assumed we would be treated accordingly due to the occasion. With a 5pm dinner time, the restaurant was not busy, therefore preparing our food should have been no great challenge. The chefs for that night should be FIRED. Have a good day, even though we had a terrible anniversary dinner.
