The DDO store. i bought 4 packages of fresh rib steaks "on…read moresale" on July 25. I froze all of them immediately. We Bar-b -qued 1 package July 28 and found them to be extremely tough. The worst rib steaks I ever bought. I tried to return the rest on July 29. ( I rarely return anything) The CSR refused the return citing first a 7 day return policy and then changing that to a 3 day return policy on meat etc. My understanding from their printed (French only) sheet pinned on the wall, was that acceptance of the return was discretionary. There is very poor customer service at this store and the quality of their beef is extremely low.

A year ago, the same guy was at the bbq chicken and was also using his bare hands to handle the chicken. I reported this to the store manager at the time. Nothing has changed! Management should investigate and warn this employee before he gets caught by government inspectors!

I was the only customer there at that time and was completely ignored (not surprising from this staff) as they continued doing whatever they were doing they did see me but no worries they could care less about serving me so I left without buying anything. I'll stick with IGA much better quality of food, staff is polite and the scene card is awesome.

From fruits and vegetables to Wagyu beef and foie gras, they have it all for the at-home chef. The Long Version: My husband and I love Farmers' Markets, so while planning our trip to Laval, I marked Marché Public 440 as one of the places for us to check out. We went in May so the outdoors section was open. I doubt it's open year-round, like the indoors section. The outdoors section had lots of affordably priced fruits and vegetables. We ended up getting 5 containers of blackberries for $1 each. We also got 2 packs of baby cucumbers. Each pack had 6 cucumbers and they were $2 each or 2 packs for $3. The indoors section is significantly pricier, but they have gourmet items. They had expensive cuts of meats, gourmet cheeses and artisan chocolates. They had a few eateries too, which ranged in prices. It's a fun place to walk around. Lots of free parking in their private parking lot. Review #97 (2025)
