Fantastic Eastern European supermarket! Saw lots of specialty items from Russia, Ukraine, Poland and the rest of Eastern Europe. You're going to hear a lot of Slavic languages here and see lots of Cyrillic languages on some of the labels. They have whole aisles just for pickles and pickled foodstuffs, another aisle to jams and fruit preserves, a wonderful frozen foods area where you'll find frozen pierogies of various kinds of Russian pelmeni, Georgian khinkali, and Ukrainian vareniki including dessert versions like cherry vareniki (dumplings). You'll find fresh organic butter and yogurts and the meat and cold cuts counter is damn good too. Garlic sausages, lamb cutlets, cheeses, I don't know any of their names but just ask the person behind the counter and she'll either explain items to you or even give you a small sample to try right there. Their liverwurst is great. You'll find all the European brand chocolates like Milka and Rittensoort, Polish Wawel poppyseed cakes and babkas and tons of other stuff. There's also a prepared foods counter which had some good stuff. I took home a large container of real home-made borscht that even had huge chuncks of beef in it and it was perfect for a dinner on a cold evening. I love going to Epicure! What distinguishes this place from other grocery stores is its specialization in Eastern European countries' product. You will find all the traditional sections of an ordinary grocery store (veggies, dairy products, caterer, delicatessen, and snacks) but with an eastern european twist. I especially like their takeaway section (always useful when in need of a quick homemade dinner), their large selection of Kinder products (chocolaaaaate!!) and the friendly and helpful staff. It was my favorite market until I bought two packs of marshmallow there. Tasted strange, so, I've checked for expiry date. On the stamp place I found a Nutrition Value sticker, covering date stamp. Carefully I took it off. One box - stamp was obviously removed. Second box - still there and two and a half month expired on the moment of purchase. Passed by the store yesterday, Feb. 15th around 5 - 5:15 p.m. and we faced a "stanning" service. 4 people were standing and waiting in front of the buffet section for a while and no one paid attention to us as like we didn't exist. Girls were chatting and laughing, discussing something personal. A gentlemen (Anglophone) had to go behind the buffet station in order to get some attention and get served. I felt uncomfortable and sorry for him meanwhile it's not my business. As soon as he was served, a lady pulled out cell phone from her pocket regardless there were people in line. Had to call her attention again so we could get our food. Had a surge to go away immediately but was very hungry after work. Then the cashier, one young blond lady (was wearing a grey hoody sweater), was standing with still face, no smile or whatsoever. Scanned products in a very slow motion, meanwhile there were no one at the cash, she was waiting for a customer to come back. Somebody probably forgot something and run to grab some stuff but at least could of say something. Simple "please wait a bit" or "go to another cash register" at least. But instead, she didn't even acknowledge people in line. I do understand it was the end of the day, they were probably tired but shouldn't behaved like that. Then we switched to another cashier, very pleasant girl, smiling, "hi and bye", "have a good evening", etc. Will consider next time if we would want to do grocery shopping at Epicure stores. I don't very often but since last I went before some of the Triangle project was completed; the population in the neighborhood has grown considerably so has the stock in the store. They have even more in the space. They've made the ready-to-eat section much more attractive and stock more of the pastry (everything really). I was able to buy a mille feuille yesterday around 3 p.m. never been able to get one that late before. The down side is while more diners are attracted so are pickpockets my cellphone was stolen. No doubt due to the greater crowds it makes their work easier. read more

This mall complex uses a really aggressive towing company. You've bought your groceries. Do you really want to have to take an uber to a tow lot with your receipt to try to explain you are a paying customer? read more

My source for great Polish chocolate I've been here twice so far. This grocery store features imported European specialties, especially in the sweets department. I was delighted to find chocolate from Poland here. I fell in love with Polish chocolates at a food trade show a couple of years ago, so I was thrilled to find a handsome selection of international bars and bulk sweets. Goplana is my current fave. It's a bit out of the way for me, but I will definitely be back to try some other goodies. read more

Made a quick pit stop on way to work, to get some basil & a baguette. Good luck! No fresh herbs or baguettes or " real" bread for sale...only the pre-packaged plastic bagged yuck stuff! I wasn't impressed, with a name such as Epicure, I expected more and better. Meh! read more

I love this place so far! There is fresh fruit and veg, frozen items, a big selection of sweets, cold-cuts, cheeses, a hot item case, salad bar, bakery, and breads! It's kind of small and cramped in some areas, but so far everything I tried has been good. They carry bread from Premier Moisson now, so they seem to be listening to what customers want. I tried a filo pastry with spinach and feta, some salads, cold-cuts and cheeses yesterday, and they all were good. I tried some pickled cherry tomatoes, and they also have pickled apples and other things to try if you're so inclined. Too bad I moved away, because this place would be somewhere I shop often if I still lived in Montreal. read more

It was cool. I walked in there not looking for anything in particular or not knowing what it was. I walked out empty handed but for the chocolate lover, they had quite a large selection. I like their freshly cooked foods section. It's very practical to grab a quick lunch or dinner. They provide a space of four tables to eat in. They do take aways as well. Nothing like a plate of potatoes, chicken teriyaki and salad! read more

Recently bought a feta cheese there, and as I opened it I found out that it is actually been spoiled seems like for a long time( almost bitter in taste and smelly!)! The sticker said it was packed on the date I bought it but as I removed it from a package, underneath was a small orange sticker "best before", which indicated it was already one month over the edge!! I often visit this store. And honestly, I am very surprised by the previous comments. What is it that you found more expensive than any other store, such as Provigo, or Super C for example? I don't know what you expect but this is a deli store selling some varieties of European food at very reasonable price and without tax. If you are a gourmand, or if you like full-flavored, juicy, home-made style meals such as moussaka, cabbage rolls, stuffed peppers, meat balls, cotelettes, salmon, salads, soups, marinata, etc. then I will definitely recommend visiting this place. But if you are used to the artificial, processed, modified, irradiated, tasteless foods with genetically modified corn starch, modified milk ingredients, modified wheat, etc, that is not even mentioned on the package, then continue shopping at the regular supermarkets. But don't hate something just because it is different or because it is not on your taste. read more
