I have been seeing photos for years from Marcellus Lanes but I had no idea where it was so I never went. I finally ventured out to find it. It's a small place if you weren't looking you'd drive right by. Seeing the sizes of the cones I opted for a "kiddie" cone! Ha! It was mammoth! The first time I visited I got the pumpkin vanilla twist with crunch topping! Delish! They serve it with or without the cone in a dish. The second time I went again with the "kiddie" cone vanilla/chocolate twist dipped in chocolate! The prices are super affordable and definitely plenty of ice cream! We had reserved a lane on a Saturday for open bowling on Sunday. Open bowling is advertised for 1-5pm. Upon arriving, they had a kid/parent league still bowling and a kids birthday party at the same time. We were told by the proprietor that he was "breaking the rules" by letting us bowl. There should be an empty lane between the league and the party, which is the lane that was reserved for us. Then he decided to school us on bowling etiquette. We walked in with our own balls and shoes. We already know about bowling etiquette. Then we sat at a table, behind our reserved lane, and was told that the tables were reserved for the party. We asked the proprietor if he actually wanted us there and he laughed. We felt like we weren't really welcome there. That is fine considering that the place is very old and run down. It's a little dated, but none the less it's a great place to take the family bowling. What it lacks in a modern flare/amenities it makes up for in hospitality. I've bowled multiple games here and I've patronized these lanes on many occasions from Birth Day parties, to Scouting events to family outings and all have been worthwhile events. In the past, I'll admit the place had a certain odor and was lacking in upkeep, but the last couple of visits things have certainly turned around. From the ice cream stand in Warner months, to a small stocked bar, to the grill that serves up the standard ally food (Let's admit it, nothing screams a childhood memory quit like Bowling Alley French Fries.) to the lanes themselves....it's a good place to take the family for some quality time together. There is nothing fancy or remarkable about the place, but overall I'm extremely happy to have this in our community and I'd recommend Marcellus Lanes. read more

You have to see it to believe it! Marcellus Lanes Ice Cream doesn't look like much, but it's definitely worth the trip. The ice cream portion sizes are enormous. I ordered a small and it was huge! I can't imagine what a large looks like. I think the small was either $4 or $4.50, but you get your money's worth for sure. They have several varieties of soft serve ice cream as well as other ice cream treats such as sundaes and milkshakes. If you get the opportunity to visit Marcellus, give them a try. read more

This place is THE SPOT for ice cream in the summer. The ice cream is not only delicious, the the size they give you is incredible. The portion is large enough that they have to place it in a container for you to eat it with a spoon. This is a perfect ending to a hot summer day! read more

Lots of good shakes around but nobody can match this place. The best milkshakes around. I had more fresh strawberries in mine that I thought possible. Every suck produced great lumps of strawberry. Plus they don't pulp the fruit to extinction. Just the right texture. Going back for more asap. read more

Great small town bowling alley where the bowling balls are all gouged up, the pitchers of beer are cheap, you can bowl for hours for only a couple of bucks, and going here makes you realize that all the kids you went to high school with are still living in town and bowling on a Saturday night.... read more

The ice cream is well worth every penny. Not only is it the creamiest but the sizes are crazy big. The bowling alley prices per game is also why we bowl there more often than anywhere else. The place is pretty old and not the most beautiful but you can still enjoy a few games. read more
