My mom lived in this community from July 2024 through 2025. I assisted her with the process, and while the apartment location was convenient for her job, our experience with the leasing staff left a lasting impression that I think future renters should be aware of.
During the application and move-in process, my mom (who is 65) and my brother (who recently immigrated and was unfamiliar with U.S. rental procedures) were repeatedly sent away because of minor paperwork issues. Instead of receiving help or explanation, they were told to "go read the welcome document" without guidance on how to correct anything. This made the experience feel stressful and unwelcoming, especially when they were clearly trying to follow the instructions given.
Once I called to clarify and advocate on their behalf, the treatment changed significantly. After that, the staff were polite and helpful throughout the remainder of the lease term. My mom had no issues during the year she lived there.
However, during move-out, we were charged $150 for carpet cleaning even though the carpets were in good condition and showed no damage beyond normal use. The lease specifically stated that charges would only apply for excessive dirt or damage. When I questioned it, I was told it was simply "community policy," even though the signed lease did not reflect that. The move-out photos they provided confirmed the carpet was clean, yet the charge remained.
Overall, the apartment itself was fine and convenient, but the experience felt inconsistent -- supportive at times, and very dismissive at others. The move-in and move-out processes in particular were unnecessarily difficult and left us feeling undervalued, despite being fully qualified renters. read more
