We have the membership so we go pretty regularly. I really feel that the value is there for the membership if you like a clean car. The wash is good and cleans the car well. The complaint from this visit was that the vacuum seemed to be lacking suction. But the free air freshener and washer fluid helped with that. read more

Be careful with this business and don't get scammed like I did. Purchased a 17.99 car wash. I was asked if I wanted to wash all month for the same price. I said sure. This turned into a reoccurring monthly charge each month. I want told that when I purchased the car wash. Be careful here!!!! read more

Literally just left this car wash and they damaged my vehicle. I told the associate and he went and told the manager. I went into the office and the manager (Tanner) never came out to see me. UNACCEPTABLE. A car wash should not be ripping off panels from a vehicle. read more

There have been a lot of changes at Marc-1 since COVID. I think it may be chain-wide and not just particular to this location, though, as we also go to the other location about 6 miles away with similar experiences. One thing that has not come back is the spray bottles. So this is pretty much just an exterior-only wash these days. They do provide microfiber cloths, but they're dry, not even premoistened, so forget cleaning the inside of your windows or smudges on your dash. Unless you bring your own interior cleaner or dab up any remaining moisture from your car's exterior to remove the evidence of coffee dribbles and lunch on the go french fry fingers on the radio buttons, don't expect to get the same kind of clean to your car that you could 2 years ago. read more

I feel like I have been the victim of fraud. I visited the Pelham location in February. A young man encouraged me to subscribe to their $30 per month wash your car anytime plan....with a recurring credit card charge. I declined, saying we did not do recurring monthly charges for car washes. Now I see on my credit card invoice that they signed me up anyway and I have been charged monthly for the last several months! THeir customer service would not address the fraudulent subscription....but simply agreed to cancel my "account" ( that I never signed up for.) Consumer beware!! read more

I understand that the people there have jobs. However, when you pull up to the pay machine; there is someone standing there (a worker). If they are not there; they come out. Several times and at several locations, I have politely informed the person that I did not need the help. They inform me it is their job. I understand that, but I don't want or need the help. I have asked several times for the person to move and not stand right at the machine. Some will move, but I have had instances where the person get ugly or starts to be disrespectful. I have even backed out and left. Well, again today I tried the carwash at a different location. There was no one standing there, which I was relieved, I got my wash paid for and was waiting for the receipt. Well, here she comes, I told her politely that I did not need any help. She said, "ok but it is my job". I told her I understood that and appreciate her trying to help but I did not need it and do not want it. She proceeded to tell me that it was her job, and they pay her to stand out there. I told her again I don't want it. I asked to speak to a manager, and she stated that she was the manager. I said, "well that's not what you just said." She tried to cover her words. The arm was up and I was tired of listening to her, so I pulled up to go into the wash. I paid for the $21 wash. Well, she comes over and pushes the button to send me through. I noticed the wash didn't take as long. When I got out to dry the car off. I notice my car was not clean. The brush did not go over the top because all the dust was still there. Also, there were cat paw prints on my trunk. They were still there. I was on the phone with my husband at the time and was telling him about the car still being dirty. He did tell me to go tell the lady. But I told him no because of the whole situation that happened when I paid. I have tried looking up the cooperate office number but can't seem to find one. My thing is, I know they have a job to do, but if I don't want the help. You cannot force me to let you help. No, I don't want you standing there right at my door while I am paying. Yes, there maybe people that need the help, but I do not. I guess they are trying to force people to purchase the membership so they won't have to go through all that. But I am not going to! Unless things change, I will not be going back to their carwashes. Yes, I know how to wash a car and not to lazy to do it. However, I was on my way to work and didn't have the time to do it myself. Car washes - we all need them, but how do they compare? Marc-1 Car Wash is one of the better ones with clean and new equipment with the latest and greatest car wash technology, including free vacuum. Marc-1 has several great locations in Central Alabama area - in Chelsea, Pelham, Hoover and Alabaster, Palisades, Jasper and Prattville. I visited the Alabaster location off 119 - in the Buck Creek area and it's a great location and I'm in the area often. Their monthly packages range in price from $12.95 to $29.95, and you can go as often as needed, even everyday if necessary - and visit any of their locations! Although the carts were there, the cloths and window cleaner were missing (but we didn't ask... ) - I was satisfied enough to take the top layer of dirt off of 6 months COVID grime! One star taken for not getting the back of my car clean and the towels and spray cleaner were not evident and/or not available on the day I visited. I was very impressed with this visit - and I'm sure if I'd asked, the guys would have hit the back of my car - and I would have been able to access the towels and spray cleaners. I'm looking forward to my next visit - and Marc-1 may be my new easy button for my car wash! read more

The past 2 times I have tried to go to this car wash (the one located off of 31) they have been closed. The site says they close at 7 o'clock PM but here it is 6:45 and the gates are closed. This is quite aggravating due to the fact I can't even get down here after work until this time and I'd really like to just run my car through the wash very quickly. I pay for my membership yet it seems like i'm never using it because of this inconvenience of closing early. read more

on 4/20/21, I purchased a wash and proceeded into the wash as instructed by the Marc-1 Car Wash staff. During the course of the wash, a spinning bristle struck my vehicles' side mirror, shattering the glass. After exiting the wash, I approached the manager to file a claim. The manager took all of my information but refused to provide me the contact information of anyone at the corporate office and was not able to provide a clear understanding of the claims process. I am very disappointed in my experience and mostly because of the way it has been handled. I hope someone who is at a higher level will see this and reach out to me. read more

I never knew my car could get so clean from a drive through! The vacuum stations are really good. And they even have spray and towels for your windows. The other place I used to go to didn't have that so I felt like I was getting a special treat. I also love the fact that the place is also really clean. read more

It was no employee from Prattville. It was the Billing and the office with Isaac. Apparently he said he was the top man but he sure didn't sound like it. He would not give me another person or phone number and would not even try to work out what we could do. Isaac could care less about customers satisfaction. He sounded like a robot. I've been a customer for many years. Good customer service would try to work out a solution that would be good for both the customer and business. I did not receive the email for a hike increase but that was not why I was calling. I wasn't even upset about that until I talked to this Isaac with no last name. He said it was not my business to know his name but he knows mine. I called before the end of April to pause my May & June service because I would be out of the country. He said it was billed 2 days ago and I would just lose that money. He would not even let me use it when we return. I canceled my membership that I've had for years. I will not ever use them again and I will pass that on to anyone I can. There are other carwashes in our town that I can give my business to. Hopefully they care more about their customers. Marc 1 definitely lost a long term customer that has lived in this area for 35 years. read more

I used to love getting a quick wash and vacuum here but I notice it never cleans my back end completely. Then the last time I was there, the vacuum sucked my aux cord and lightening adapter right out of the device it was plugged into! They told me they couldn't stop the vacuums and would check at night for my wire. The phone number they have listed is not in service so I waited until Monday to go there (I live 30 mins away) and was told they never found it. They lost my business. That wire and adapter cost more than the car wash did. read more

Cleans better than others, but even with a quick "scrub" before going in the main wash it still misses bugs/random dirt. It was better before they updated to new machinery. Prices are reasonable, I guess. read more

I like Marc sometimes. If they will let you know what days their going to close 20-30 mins early before closing would be great. Suppose to closed at 8 today and I get there at 7:35 and the gate is already closed. Have done that several times when you drive there and think their still open but they close the gates early read more

This location is the worst. You would think for a 8 dollar car was it would be at least allright but there is no free air freshner like the website claims, theres not even a machine for it. the foaming brush is out of soap, and there was quite a few people their just loitering, with no attendant on duty, it was 4:30 in the afternoon too, with a lot of people showing off their trucks in the vacuum area.
