Love the format of this restaurant! For lunch, Marbling offers a semi-buffet option: a salad / cold appetizer bar, soup, main course, and dessert buffet, for ~HK$150-200 depending on the main (I think they do offer a la carte options). It offers a little, comfortable oasis in the middle of the busy Causeway Bay crowd, and even though it's definitely a little on the pricier end for a lunch, the food is yummy and I came away super satisfied.
APPETIZER BAR: A good selection of salads, as well as cocktail shrimp and clams. Was a little too excited when filling my plate and was partially full by the time I'm finished with this course!
SOUP: It is served in the tiniest (and cutest) cup ever (think an espresso cup, but smaller), but the creamy mushroom soup in it was packed full of flavor. Hits the spot transitioning from the cold appetizers to the main course.
MAIN: I got the grilled chicken breast - the portion size is on the small side, but perfect considering the plentiful appetizer buffet bar and the upcoming promise of unlimited desserts from the buffet table. Each component of the dish was yummy - chicken was juicy, mashed potatoes absolutely creamy, and vegetables roasted perfectly.
DESSERT BAR: A pretty decent selection, with highlights being this nutty, sweet chocolate wedge and the hokkaido milk pudding. They have 2-3 other desserts as well as a small selection of fruit. read more
