I had to loudly announce to the girl running the register and our scooper that my son was ready to order when she was done complaining about how she wanted to go home. It's a high volume ice cream shop in a very touristy area and your job involves scooping ice cream- you are going to be busy and scooping ice cream most all of your shift. The employee screening process needs to be improved upon. If this was my business I would have had a brand new staff come morning. All 3 employees had no cares of being in the customer centered food service industry. Save your time and go elsewhere. No wonder there is as parking available.

Pecan Jacks is a busy ice cream store in the heart of Santa Rosa Beach. I visited a few times during early/mid-April and it was booming whether midday or early evening. They have lots of ice cream flavors including flavors that are dairy-free and flavors that are boozy. I tried the Elvis (chocolate, peanut butter, marshmallow and banana), coffee/mocha and Reese's. All were tasty and very creamy. When you put it in a glass bowl the cream sticks to the sides - that is how you know it's good stuff. Dense, little water, and no air whipped in. A scoop is $7, two scoops is $9 and a pint is around $13. I haven't quite figured out how many scoops are in a pint but I know you get to skip the long, slow line. We finally wised up and bought pints but we also only had a short distance to travel home. Overall a good but definitely busy ice cream store. Based on the quality of the product, I'd be happy to return, daily.
