I could've gone here every day we were in town...and kind of wish I did so I could make my way through more of the menu! Best donuts in the area, fresh, flavorful, and a great variety of options (from your everyday enjoyable glazed to a delightful maple bacon option for the more adventurous, with plenty of choices in between). Some good coffees on the menu too (I found the Tally Bomb to be my favorite, a cold brew with vanilla and a shot of espresso). Really wanted to try a shake, just didn't get the chance, as they looked awesome. It's a sweets shop, nothing overly fancy. My family and I have been going to Alys Beach for 14 years and this was our 35 time staying here. One tradition we always have is going to Charlie's donuts. It started with the truck, then progressed into the store... charlies delights. Every time I come here, the service is horrible. I feel like the cashier is rude and a snob. Also, like why is this 30A and there is one person working in here. 15 minutes being the only ones in here, to get an acai bowl. My cousin and I ordered and we got one bowl because she was contemplating what she wanted. I then said ok "one bowl," and the cashier was mad that I didnt get one for my cousin, then took 15-20 min to make it. Then she had the audacity to yell across the restaurant and ask us to give her one. So here you go Charlie's... 1 star. The craziest part is... after she asked for a review she acted all nice to us. The waitress was very rude and curt until I gave a tip when we went there yesterday morning. Not a very pleasant experience. The rustic vibe of their food truck was also gone in the new shop. Donuts were mediocre and similar to most little cheap donut shop donuts ....just overpriced because of the location. She also started vaping while fixing the chairs outside. Very fresh. Loved the bacon maple. Overall, did not knock my socks off but good variety and as I mentioned always fresh FYI, it's located in the back right corner of Aly's beach main square. It's kind of behind the Neat bar building .i got in line at 8:02am and when I got to the window, no cookies and cream, Reese's and 3 bacon left. If you get there after 8:15am, there will only be plain glazed left if anything. read more

Awful. Only stale tasting 2-day old donuts here. We were here before 8am and all they had left was chocolate and glazed left. The glaze was all melted off the donuts and they tasted like that were made at least a day or 2 ago. Don't waste your money or time here. Go somewhere that makes quality donuts! read more

If you're in the area during peak-season (summer, holidays, etc.) plan to be here as early as you can because the donuts will sell out fast. During low season like the end of April, we showed up around 10AM and there were plenty of flavors to choose from. - Donuts donuts donuts! I'm not the biggest donut lover but I can appreciate a good donut. These donuts are fluffy, light, and never greasy. They have unique flavors as well as traditional flavors (Examples include: Red Velvet, Birthday, Cinnamon , Oreo, Glazed with Chocolate Sprinkles, and Maple Bacon). - Location is everything. This place has become such a tradition when in Rosemary. It's more for the experience of riding our bikes and sitting by the large green space while we eat our large and in charge donuts. Then we go for a leisurely bike ride through some of the surrounding neighborhoods to work off the pound of custard we just ate. The donuts are very good. One will usually do the trick. Went to Charlie's Truck that is located in Alys Beach and they have some tasty donuts. We got here on the earlier side of when they opened, had heard they sell out of certain donuts. We tried 3 donuts, a maple bacon, old fashioned, and a key lime. They all tasted excellent, with a ton of flavor. Really liked the Key Lime. By far the best donut choice in the area. read more

We always look forward to Charlie's Donut truck but this visit to the kiosk on 30A in Peddlers pavilion we were very disappointed by the size of the donuts. Our sour cream donuts were about half the size of normal Charlie's Donuts. Guess they are trying to make up for the lost profits while the main truck is being moved to a permanent location in Alys beach. Hard to tell from the photo but it was smaller than the coffee lid. Hate to post a bad review about a 30A landmark but, if no-one says anything, they won't fix it. read more

Great donuts, great concept. Food trucks are awesome in and of themselves, it's like a small taste of NYC, but when they sell fresh donuts...even better. They open their window early (6:30 am) and close it when they sell out. So you have to get there early. They're open Thurs-Sun. We got there at 7:30 and three kinds were already sold out: chocolate sprinkled, chocolate with nuts, and blueberry cake. They also have pastries, coffee, milk, and other cold drinks. I was sad about them being out of blueberry cake (one of my favorites). We ended up buying a dozen assorted: 3 glazed, 3 chocolate glazed, 2 cinnamon rolls (pastry), 1 cinnamon/apple filled (pastry), 1 cinnamon twist (pastry), 1 sour cream, and 1 Holland cream. The donuts were much better than the normal chain donuts, and much more heafty--the normal glazed are more caky than the chain's, and it would take almost two Krispy Kremes to equal the total mass of Charlie's. They were fresh, and they come straight from Charlie's bakery every morning. The chocolate glazed were excellent. We went to The Donut Hole yesterday, which was awesome, but Charlie's beat them with their chocolate glazed. The cinnamon/apple filled was a log. It was good, but only slightly better than an apple pie from McDonald's. The Holland cream was just a white cream filled donut, but it was good. Overall, this truck is awesome, but their donuts don't match up with those of the Donut Hole on every level. If you're staying around Aly's Beach of driving down 30A at the wee hours of the morning then you have to stop by Charlie's Donut Truck. read more

The best donuts we've ever had!! These are hand-cut donuts with no machines used. They provide a wide variety. One of the two owners, John, is a disabled vet who was mentored years ago by a German bakery master. These guys have 7 locations and, for 30A, they drive their truck one hour to get here. Those facts reveal their dedication and passion, and that's virtue you can actually taste! Personally, this is my first time at Charlie's, though I've heard raves from others. Yesterday I tried their competition (Donut Hole) and it was like eating pastries from the grocery store, so beneath Charlie's quality. The sour cream donuts ARE TO DIE FOR. The maple donut was so sweet I can't imagine being able to eat all of it. A diabetic shouldn't even look at that one. For real though. The cinnamon roll was mediocre, but a good size for the price. The prices were really good, too.
