Not impressed by this place. On the menu, they claim "unlimited mix-ins" and state that its "as many as can fit in the cup." So, we think that means, as long as the cup isn't overflowing with toppings/mix-ins, then we should be good. My boyfriend picked his ice cream flavor and asked for peanuts (because they didn't even have almonds) and caramel as the mix-ins to start. He was looking at the other options, wanting to add more and the girl abruptly told him that she couldn't add anymore because it reached the weight limit. No one said anything about a weight limit??? My sister-in law ordered an ice cream with brownie bits mixed in. She noticed that they were putting her ice cream and brownie bits into a blender so she politely asked if they were making a shake because that wasn't what she wanted. The girl behind the counter was completely confused and insistent that my sister-in-law actually ordered a shake and asked the other girl working what to do. They ended up throwing it all away.... and proceeded to make the rest of our ice creams with attitude. By the time we got our ice creams, we were pretty frustrated and just wanted to go home. They are younger sure... but always very happy & friendly. I haven't had a single issue since Ive started coming to this location. Yes they check ID's (It should only take you 2 more seconds to pull it out with your debit card) its for your protection so those of you who complain over it really need to man up and just understand its part of the process. Their ice cream is the best! Consistently delicious. Realistically... customers will only ever log in when they have something to complain about. Dante helped two of us and seemed like he did not want to be there. He was not paying attention and added the wrong mix ins, barely spoke, and slammed our stuff on the counter. The mix ins were barely mixed in for all of us. We stood at the counter waiting to pay for more than 5 minutes while no one was paying attention. We could've just walked out! Beware using a credit/debit card here!!! I went with my step son to get ice cream. He paid for his ONE SCOOP with his card & his total was $5 something. I specifically heard the associate ask him if he wanted to leave a tip on the card and my step son said no. I heard Bc I was right behind him in line ordering ice cream for myself and my daughter. A few days later my husband noticed that the amount that cleared the bank account was over $10. He asked my step son about it & he told him thag was the wrong amount, his total was around $5. Since I heard, I was able to back him up. My husband called the store and was directed to speak with the manager/owner. She said she would look into it and get back with him & she never did. I know $5 isn't a lot of money, but it's the fact that someone stole and lied, it's the principle of it all. We are so disappointed in this establishment & refuse to patronize this business. I love marble Slab Creamery but the people who work there and the people who own it are TERRIBLE! The line is always long and takes no less than 15 minutes to get through. A party in front of us had 6 large shakes. The employee made the first three individually and then only when the older more experienced employee walked by they told the other employee to take the whole order first, consolidate and make the shakes in a bigger blender to make more at once. When we do get up to the counter the employees don't look at us or greet us until they are ready. We stood at the counter a good minute and a half until someone made eye contact and took our order after a giant party had proceeded to check out. All the while two employees walked in for their shift but neither of them jumped in to help the move the line along. When the employee finally take our order I found out another reason why the line took so long... employees were weighing every single order. I have gone to marble slab for years and in other cities but never did I see they weigh the scoops. Ridiculous. On Friday June 8th, 2018 I planned a date night of dessert for my wife. We live 29 miles away from the location we visited. Upon arrival we walked in line like normal with 4 people ahead of us. We waited which was expected. There were 4 people working the counter. One rep started working on our order, which my wife ordered a pint for my daughter to go. We stood there in amazement of what happened next! The girl started working on our order, the reps finished everyone ahead of us then 11 more people walked in after us. We asked the reps that finished the prior customer orders if they could start my wife and my order and they told us no, the girl is doing it. I stood there for 15 minutes while all the other reps worked 11 customers past us. All 3 of the other reps were helping with the same family and continuing. They could have started my wife and my order next to get us through the line. No!!! they worked 11 people right around us. I thought this was a very poor example of how they operate. You have 4 people on the counter so they ought to be able to work each person next in line and run more effectively. I was very upset about this of how inconsiderate people can be. Also when I was paying the girl asked me if we had a rewards account. I advised her No, I didn't want one. I gave her no information just my credit/debit card to pay with. She swiped my credit card and said oh you have rewards would you like to use them. I gave her no information on my personal stuff but yet by swiping my credit card she pulled up my information. I have never given Marble Slab any approval to retain my credit card information and would advise that it be removed.
