This time it was a small marble top for a makeup vanity and three backsplash pieces. They don't give much credence when you're buying a remnant for $400 that you're picking up and installing yourself rather than a 10k kitchen install, I get it but still, the side backsplash pieces weren't cut to the right size. They failed to subtract the 1 1/4 inch from each one to allow for the back piece. Also, my tile guy who recut it said that it looked like it was cut with a grinder and there were small chips in the cut that would go against the wall. My tile guy cut the pieces to fit with a wet saw and they are beautifully done now. Don't expect much if you're just picking up a small remnant. There is no oversight and not much care taken when you are low on the totem pole with a $400 piece. But their loss, since I do need a 10k kitchen install and a larger bathroom slab. I'll be going somewhere else.

We needed new counter tops for our camper when Paul found Mcgills. Previously, we had looked…read moreseveral times at both Lowe's and Home Depot and were about to pull the trigger when he decided to get once more option. I met Paul at their warehouse one date after work. We were able to ALL sorts of different types of counter tops! Instead of choosing between just a small handful of colors, one edge type and having to do all the cutting ourselves, we had so many possibilities. We told them what our budget was and they pointed us to the tops that would fall in that price point. We got to got to pick a rounded front edge and were even able to have them "finish" all the visible edges. After all of this, it still ended up being less than we would have paid from a box store and was a lot less work. If we ever replace the counter tops in our house, I would def. use Mcgillls!
