I had already had a conversation with them and knew all the details, the guy on the phone refused to tell me pricing, said he needed 15 min and even after I explained I really just needed pricing because I'm far ahead in my dovorce and needed little help therefore if it was too expensive I would just do it alone, he refuse to tell me price and then said if I didnt have time to hear him he "could go ahead and delete your file with us' . I contacted a company called Marble Law on the internet and was put into contact with Chris Fordham out of Brandon. We had a conversation over the phone about doing a modification for alimony. Chris explained that Marble law does nickle dime me with hourly fees to handle my case, and that he would handle it from start to finish, he felt confident he could handle my case. He said that the office of Marble would contact me about the fee. The next day they called me and said it would cost $3000. I paid the $3000 and waited. I received a financial affidavit to fill out and I completed it the next day and sent it back. Then it was a long time (about 2 months)before I heard anything. I called and left messages. No response. I eventually left bad reviews on Facebook and questioned how to get a refund, and then received a call from a girl in the office that said the were ready to fill my case with the Court. Then I waited again about a month and did not receive any information. I called Marble laws number and was told that they were complete with my case. I was told the start to finish was for the paper filling and nothing else. Unless I wanted to give them more money. I was told it was covered in my contract. Of course they are legal expects and I am sure they are covered. But, I believe they took advantage of someone old and doesn't know the legal wording. I except that part of my failure, but as a legal office , this company is so deceptive and takes advantage of people that the know are basically helpless. Very bad representation of a honest company. 24 days ago I had contacted Marble to get a refund after realizing that no work had been done on my case. After some time I was able to get into contact with someone and they had promised me a full refund and to look out for it in 7-10 business days. Its well passed that and I came into contact with wisetack who says they have not received a ticket from marble and had no idea a refund was being issued. I have been yet again lied to by marble and no progress had been made on my refund. They promised ANOTHER 7-10 business days to get my refund instead yet a few days after I'm getting calls from wisetack again asking to continue paying my bill to marble yet again finding out to ticket is being made. Seems like a cycle that Marble falls into with lying and scamming. Instead of waiting for everything to fall into place I've decided to just report this company to the Better Business Bureau and looking for assistance with the local bar associates to file a claim. I've emailed marble at the line they give you with the bot replies on yelp, but there was no return. I have also emailed wisetack after they requested more info and a confirmation email of the refund that we gave them. Yet when I emailed them they denied any conversation whatsoever and said they can't help me. Seems like no one anywhere on both sides of these companies that are all ran by the same people it seems like have any idea whats going on what to do or why they are even trying. After waiting time and time again and through two different attorneys of theirs nothing was every completed. After several explanations of what was needed still attempted to file the wrong items. Attorneys don't return calls and you constantly have to chase your tail with them. Quick to take your money but horrible at delivering any results. After 7 months deal waiting and waiting asked for a refund and still got the run around. Finally agreed to refund and they stated "someone " would call to finalize results and complete refund in 7-10 days. No one ever called just received an email stating the refund would process 7-10 days. 21 days later still no refund and impossible to get anyone on the phone. I used marble because of the easy pay plan. Little did I know it was all a scam. The 1 time I have spoken to my "Lawyer" was when I payed the 49$ and he assured me that he would take care of everything and set up a plan for me to assist me through my complete child support case. Then comes the payment specialist who told me it would be a total of 2500$ for my case. I agreed and put money down only to find out the 2500$ was for them to assist me in filing paperwork that I could have done for 310$ and hire a process server to serve my ex with the papers...again something I could have done for free.. I've had no updates on my case besides we filled your papers and served your ex. So I called another local law firm who within 15 mins of talking to them told me more about my case then marble has in 2 months. Also it was free. Turns out I have now less then 20 days to return paperwork and have a hearing coming up which my so called attorney or legal team has yet to inform me of. They make me filled a questionnaire from which they filled the document in the computer. they send me 2 documents by email that they filled up with my questioner. It happens to be that me and my wife worked things out so I call them and cancel the service. Well.... This people had the nerves to charge me $2000 for 2 forms. They never went to court nor filed anything in court for me. They claim it was all the work they did for me that in essence was only 2 forms! this is unacceptable and they are ripping me off!!! I suggest hiring firms that work closer to their clients. I am reposting my review because it appears to have been removed even though I received a response from Marble Law (pictured). Zero stars if possible. On the first call Marble said that my entire case was $2500-$3000, no other fees and no hidden fees, and asked for the $49 payment for the strategy appointment with the attorney. (The trial is already scheduled and it had another hearing scheduled when that call). In the strategic appointment, a lawyer asked about the case and the trial and said he was going to ask somethings to Marble and I was going to be contacted again. After the "strategic" appointment, they called to run the financial prequalified, I asked for the name of the lawyer who would work on my case and they said that they were looking for a lawyer who speaks in Spanish, that they had 3 names, and that they would give me the one who would work with me soon, but it never happened. They say the prequalified was soft and it does not affect my credit score, and they gave me several payment plans, but they raised the price to $6,500 because my case has already scheduled 5 days of trial and the price included the appeal; clearly those questions were clarified within the talk. They immediately sent the link to sign the contract while on the call, but I asked to read it and talk the next day. In one part of the contract it says that the amount to pay is only for the lawyer to prepare and if more than one day is needed in court, then I have to pay more and sign an addendum. I communicated with Marble thinking that there was an error because it did not coincide with what they told me, but they answered that it was correct, that the lawyer works for one court day and if I need more days I have to pay more. Conclusion: $6,500 only for the first day of 5 days of a trial. They tell you something on the phone while they send you something different in writing. And now more, after my first review, they also sent me text messages, saying that if I want to pay for 5 court days I can do it, but that they did not charge more because they did not know if I will need more than one day, so I replied that no one is going to pay them $6,500 for a court day. They told me I needed to get rid of my lawyer and then they would later review my case to see if there was someone who could help me, which they couldnt guarantee. I have had attorney Jennifer Ruth for a year now and I only met her once in person and spoke to her 2x on the phone in the past year. I am disgusted with this practice on how they are handling my divorce. It's awful. I needed help and I needed it fast, my daughter was moved out of state with little to no notice and was not being taken care of as she should have been. I called Marble Law first they took my money and than advised they could not help due to my child being out of state. They did refund me what I paid them. So then after a little research we did discover they were able to assist and we moved forward. So that was in February, it was not until April that any type of paper work was filed with the Court. After waiting the 30 days and my EX getting served and not responding we were still waiting on our next moves! Calling and calling sending emails with no response. Smooth start but your tech is still rough around the edges and customer support is subpar. I was able to get a quick phone conversation at a very convenient time and follow up with a local lawyer. But once I actually paid for services when I ran into some trouble where finishing my questionnaire went nowhere and I told the lawyer it was there because they called to collect the same information and they weren't seeing it. nobody at marble was available because my case managers phone line answers in an automated message and hangs up and the online portal only allows a contact us form. So after a couple days of *me* waiting then following up and talking everyone, it was resolved. Then the lawyer took forever to start the paperwork and filled out everything wrong, they also forgot promises that were made during the phone consultation and decided to lie about it. Here's where things get even spammier, I told Marble I'd like to cancel and they had someone call me to convince me to stay with them since "the bulk of the work" was done and "I already paid". Ma'am, putting the wrong name at the top of some papers is not the bulk of the work. This person named Sophie identified themselves as my case managers (Kendall) paralegal. The woman who came for me I appreciate because it was short notice however she did absolutely nothing and we ended up having to reschedule the court hearing . She wouldn't tell the judge that I hired her temporarily she when asked by the judge if she could come back Friday she pretended to look through her calendar and then whispered to me that it wouldn't be her if I was able to retain someone again from that law firm . I initially contacted marble for two situations I signed up for their in house finance department Concordia that pretty much guarantees anyone even bad credit I was approved i signed the agreement because a marble representative told me in order to talk with a lawyer meaning just tell them my situation i have to sign.. i juggled around with different lawyers under their umbrella they assigned me to one but he was only going to represent me for one case so I told him to hold off while I talk to marble he was an outside lawyer at that.. that marble sometimes bring in so while im reaching out and they are giving me the run around having me call Concordia then marble.. the lawyer took upon himself to start the case and charged me 5900 dollars that i had no idea about..i decided to close my business with marble because of the run around they were putting me through and they told me ok well you owe 5900 dollars for basically nothing i did not get any service there was no consultation of my case nothing..but because i signed the agreement i guess they dont have to give me any service to charge me fees i guess me breathing air is what they are charging me for ..so there was an investigation by marble and found i owe over 700 dollars for no service this is their findings so now im disputing that situation hopefully this gets resolved i will never deal with marble lesson learned i wish i saw these reviews dont sign any agreement with them read more

I wish I could give them a positive review. But 4,000 for enforcing child support is ridiculous. At first I thought ok this is what other attorneys are charging so good deal wrong. When I went to court and asked for attorney fees and told the judge she laughed and said that is ridiculous. I thought having an attorney after years of me doing it by myself would get me a leg up wrong. I was better off saving my money and doing it myself or just paying a retainer because at least with that what ever you don't use for the case will be given back. I didn't email the attorney very often as a fear of driving up cost. When I asked for a break down of what I spent they refuse to do so. I feel they take advantage of people who can't pay a retainer up front and have to do a payment plan. I have tried to talk to these people about a reducing my payment because I know for my attorney it was 1,000 dollars paperwork was about 500.00 give or take. My question is where did the other 2,000 plus go. They refuse to give me a break down.
