We arrived from the airport around 1am. Checked in to our hotel. After 20 hours and three flights we were starving. When we asked hotel front desk they highly recommended this restaurant. Although it was pretty late we were greeted and seated right away. The hot tea was served in few seconds. After 15 minutes we got table full of the most delicious kebabs and grilled vegetables. Hands down one of the best dining experiences we had overall! The manager accommodated a very late reservation as we landed at midnight and wanted to secure a reservation. He was professional and personable. I can't stress enough how amazing the food is. Each plate came out with love and flavors that just blew our mind. Every dish was perfect and filled with color and soul. This is like home cooked food where the chef is a genius! The restaurant is gorgeous and the views are phenomenal. Came here this evening with my daughter after a long day of exploring Istanbul. Wanted a place we could get to walking along the waterfront from our hotel, and decided this seemed like a good idea after reading yelp reviews. It 100% did not disappoint! From the woman out front who led us in, to the three gentlemen who helped us / were our servers, the friendliness and willingness to accommodate our requests was fantastic. Particularly in not flinching over two different requests for ice throughout our meal, and subbing in crispy potato side for rice. We started with hummus and butter shrimp, both delicious, and went perfectly with the house white I was drinking. We shared the avocado salad which my daughter legit swooned over. They use pomegranate on it instead of balsamic and holy smokes, I'm doing that when I get home. I got the Adana kebab (spicy), and my daughter got the beef casserole. Both were delicious. Our only issue was trying to figure out if we can get back there tomorrow night based on our plans for the day. View was also fantastic, and sitting on their balcony enjoying that and the breeze were the perfect ending to a great day. read more

Ate here for my one splurge meal on a 48 hour extended layover trip to Istanbul -- been dreaming of coming back ever since and this restaurant is one of the reasons why. Super wonderful friendly service, delicious food, and well made mojito with a beautiful view of the Bosphorous and twinkly lights of Istanbul. I had the shakshuka and sultans delight - both outstanding and the Arabic bread it came with was soft and perfectly made. Prices were a bit high, compared to the mom n pop shops, but well worth it. A bit off the súper touristy área on a cute street with other restos and shops. Go! I can't wait to make it back to Istanbul (hopefully with a honey, this place is a great date spot too). read more

My sister & I walked past Marbella on the way to our hotel & decided to try it based on the lovely view of the Marmara Sea & the Yelp reviews. Marbella is an surprisingly unexpected treat. It is wedged into the corner of small side street, so you don't know what to think of it at first. Inside, the decor is fantastically warm and whimsical, somehow blending posh with bohemian. The service staff is extremely attentive to every detail; I always feel like I'm at a fancy Parisian bistro. The true showman here is Aziz, who makes such a lasting impression that someone I dine here with often refers to it as 'Restaurant Aziz'. The quality of food preparation is incomparable. Everything is obviously made fresh on a daily basis and the plating of the dishes changes daily as a sign of creativity and a focus on the highest quality possible. The homemade bread is the best I've had in Istanbul. I have had the pleasure of spending many special occasions here, I hope you can, too. read more

Hands down the best restaurant and experience so far in Istanbul. The food is amazing and very well made and flavored. Try the sea bass and chicken Kepab. The rooftop terrace or balcony seating is a must and I do recommend you get a bottle of wine if you'd like to have plenty to drink it's a good deal. The bottle is about 125 TL which in dollars is $20 plus the food was an additional $14 which is a steal compared to US prices. They have plenty of dishes to chose from and the service can not be beat, they are very attentive and genuinely want to make sure you had ha e a great time. No one in Sultanahmet at night so restaurants are v quiet. This little place has a Bosphoros view so we walked in. Like long lost family they welcomed us. We sat on the deck, although v cold, with blankets and heaters on. Our choice! Inside was v cosy. Food was fast and tasty. Staff gorgeous and price right! Such a great find for lunch in Sultanahmet! The servers were super attentive but not in the way that many restaurants in the area can be (read: tourist traps). Food was excellent quality: we shared a mixed mezze plate to start, which was GIANT and delicious. We are staying in a hotel in the area. Our guide recommended some restaurants, so far we have not been impressed. Went on Yelp and found Mirabella, had dinner there just tonight. Me, my wife and three teenage kids loved it. The food was very high in quality, the service was great and it was very cost effective. We enjoyed the Sea Bass, Lamb, Salmon and Vegetarian dishes. I came here for both dinner and lunch and really enjoyed this restaurant. The terrace has an amazing view overlooking the Bosphorus and the staff are very friendly! In terms of food, this restaurant has something for everyone: great vegetarian and seafood, Turkish and non-Turkish dishes. I know that on one of my visits I was really craving pasta and this restaurant delivered. The menu also contains a great wine and drink list at very reasonable prices (for the touristy historic Istanbul area.) The last time here, the staff recommended an amazing bottle of Turkish Rose. Marbella isn't fancy nor is it expensive but it is great. Our server was excellent, giving us good tips on wine and food. The salads were deliciously fresh. I had the chicken and figs, and I'm still favoring the sauce. The dates and cream dessert is not to be missed. read more
