We located this Shell station not far from our hotel. It was pretty much a self-serve pump. My car at the time was covered in love bugs, so I was interested in purchasing a car wash. I pump my gas, and instructed the pump to print the receipt, and in this case no receipt, I had to go inside. One of my pet peeve's, and I don't know why, is I don't like going into the store to get my receipt. But I had no choice, my car wash code was on the receipt. The reason for three stars, when I asked for the car wash at the pump it gave me three options, but there was no price listed so I did not know at the time of purchase how much I was paying for that car wash. Almost reminds me of Congress. I got my receipt, to find out that I paid eight dollars for a car wash. But wait, there's more room. I go to lineup to go in the car wash, and in the car wash lane was a monitor lizard just sitting there sunning himself. I noticed that it was not moving, so I got a towel out of my car, waved it a few times at this 4 foot lizard(see photo) and it ran off. Washed my car, love bugs off, continued my journey on to Hialeah that day.

Yes, for three dollars you can get a simple car wash way easier, faster, and cheaper than if you want to just rinse your car at home. You pay at the cash register and then they will give you a receipt which you will use the code to enter the car wash. It lasted less than five minutes and you're done with a clean car. Love it!

This gas station is quite close to the rental car center at the Miami airport. When we visited, their gas was $3. I was impressed that they weren't extorting people who needed to top off rental cars. Other stations in the same area had higher prices. I can't guarantee this was the norm, but it might be worth checking out if you need gas in this area.
