When my wife or I would bring our cars in for routine maintenance we would get a call saying that they found other problems that should be addressed and since they had the car apart it would be less expensive if they were addressed now. The suggested repairs they estimated were three times the cost the car was originally brought in for. I would ask if they thought it was critical and they would say it should be repaired like I didn't have a choice. The first time this happened I thought well I have been coming here for 20 years they must be right so I went along to the tune of $2500+. A year after this I brought the same car back in for the rear brakes, and I again get a call that says they found more repairs that should be done about $1700.. This time I was really perplexed as the car was just repaired a little over a year ago why all of a sudden is it needing so many repairs and why didn't they find these new repairs a year ago? So I asked the service advisor and the answer I got is this is part of their Courtesy Check practice which according to the shop manager was started 4 years ago. I asked them to please stop the practice as I was not interested in their constant barrage of suggested up-sales. I also said if they didn't stop I would not return. The service advisor replied that it was store policy and he could not do that. The shop manager also said the same. So I told them that I would not be coming back.
