This Loves charges .60 more per gallon for fuel than those we passed coming down I-39 maybe 20 min before? We were starting to get low so I took $50. worth of fuel in the rv. This is by far the worst place to buy fuel. 15 min later the price was 2.40 again. Again If you think 2.99 when everywhere else is at 2.40 works for you the godspeed to you. I learned an expensive lesson. I took 15 gal instead of 50 gal so I needed to stop an hour later to fuel again a a price in line with the average. Somewhere between Bloomington Illinois and Indianapolis, this was a brief stop for a bathroom break. The store was in decent condition with a clean restroom and that's always a good thing. I'm just completely done with Loves, my visit to this location was an absolute joke. I got a large fountain drink, payed for it with Apple Pay that's linked to my debit card, got the notification that 2.36 was taken out of my account. Walking to my vehicle the man comes running out say the transaction was only approved for nine cents. I show him the notification along with my bank statement. He proceeds to go and get the operational manager that was on duty at the time he comes back and starts arguing with me as well. Saying it was only approved for 9 cents I said buddy here is my chase transactions right here loves 2.36 has been debited from the account. He goes no it was only approved for 9 cents so I call my bank yes sir there is a pending transaction for 2.36 on your account not 9 cents I truly don't understand where customer service went to especially in gas stations I provide you with proof showing you that there was $2.36 debited from my account if there is an issue that is on your end I payed for my drink but choose to leave it on the counter and to never return to any loves again read more

We stopped here for gas and food on our way through. Gas was average but we went into the Arby's they have attached to it. Their Arby's staff was impressive. Several large group families came in almost one right after the other and they got them waited on and served faster than any fast food joint I think I've ever seen. It was impressive. read more

Came here to fuel up and grab some munchies while I was on my journey to Columbus Ohio. It's an average Loves location. It's got an Arby's with it. I got a large fountain Arizona Green Tea on my way way home from my grandmas house in Illinois - we stop at this location almost every time we come through. While drinking I felt something in my mouth, it was a small piece of metal. I stoped drinking and when I got home I poured it out and found plastic and metal pieces about 30 in total floating in the bottom. It's disgusting and I don't know how much of this I consumed before stopping. Don't get fountain drinks!!!!! read more

Traveling westbound on Interstate 74 (I-74) west after lunchtime - I had yet to eat lunch, but even more important, I was feeling the need for speed, as in caffeine. Opportunities for liquid crack are few and far between out in the Farmlands of Illinois - so you take your opps when they come. In this case - a chain I'd never heard of before - Love's! A gas station, convenience store, food stop, and more rolled all into one. And with an Arby's attached to it - you can walk back and forth between the two without going through a physical door. I got the 16 oz. cup of French Roast coffee and a bottle of Aquafina water - it was really good coffee - I did not taste it until I got back on the road - made me wish I had gotten an even large cup size! Truck stops are usually graded upon your arrival by how clean the bathrooms are! Also now as a father I tend to look at how the baby changing situation is.. Ps I don't like it, when you are stuck in a stall! Cause it's usually the biggest stall and if you were going to go number 2 you would probably choose the biggest stall which makes this the most used stall of all! This Love's bathroom was definitely in need of some of attention. Far from the worst I have ever seen, but not close to the best either! Other then the restroom, the place looked sharp and consistent with other Love's Travel Stops from across the land! Nothing ground breaking here! I have been driving past this Love's every couple of months for the past few years to visit family. Recently, I started traveling past more frequently to visit my elderly parents. We love this Love's! It's always cleaning has a wide variety of merchandise. We can even find all the various cords my kids inevitably need for all their electronics. Their clerks are absolutely the best. They are always kind and super helpful. I always feel safe stopping here in the middle night when I'm traveling by myself. Today my daughter and I stopped in. One of the clerks accidentally double charged me for an item. I didn't notice, and she could have just let it go. But she immediately saw it and asked the manager to come over to give me a refund. It's nice to know there's a safe spot to stop at late at night when you're traveling far away from home! read more

Pump #1 charged me before I pumped an ounce of gas. So I didn't pump, rung up the nozzle and Informed the attendant about the issue. She didn't do anything about it. Told me that they knew about it and "it just does that". I wonder how much they make per year by stealing a couple nickels each time someone pumps Took my $100 fill up across the street. read more

I am not sure this is the right store or not but it was 685!!! Do NOT stop here. My husband filled our car with $32. Of gas. Went in & bought a pack of gum. For some reason they put a hold on our card for $129!!! Never really gave us a good reason when we called the store & the main office. This so bogus!! What if it was a college with $ 40. In his account to get home & they put a hold on his money! This is such a bad way to do business. I think I am fairly sure I know why they picked us to do this to but I am not going to get into that! I filled up with fuel and then got two small cups of hot water for our tea in the car. I showed the cashier it was hot water and she charged me $3.15 for hot water without blinking! I won't be stopping there again. Every other place I've stopped at doesn't charge me for water when I fill up. Loves isn't the only place with clean bathrooms. read more

Recently I was traveling east on Interstate 74 when my car began to overheat. I limped into Love's Service Station in LeRoy, Illinois and was thankful to make it safely off the interstate. The folks at Love's greeted me warmly and were sympathetic of my plight. Fortunately a family member was following me in another vehicle and I made it safely back to Wisconsin. The employees at Love's again showed great poise in the way they handled me. They allowed me to park my vehicle at the service center until I could return to pick it up. In follow-up phone calls to Love's, they were very courteous and helpful, I am sold on Love's and will make this station a stop on my frequent trips from Wisconsin to Kentucky.
