They were hardworking, professional, courteous, and did quality work. The crew was one of the best parts of the entire project, and they should be recognized for their efforts and craftsmanship. Unfortunately, our experience with ownership was less positive. During the project, a delivery resulted in damage to a portion of our existing driveway as well as the city sidewalk. Rather than immediately taking responsibility for the damage, we were initially told that we would be responsible for the repairs. After considerable back-and-forth discussions, Curtis Concrete ultimately agreed to repair the damaged areas, which we appreciated, but it was a frustrating process that could have been handled much differently. In the end, the repairs were made and the finished product looks good. However, better communication, customer service, and accountability from ownership would have made for a much more positive experience. While the work crew earned five stars, the overall experience was average due to the challenges encountered when addressing project-related damage.

We had so many issues with the county that the project start date was delayed by more than 30 days. Once we got things started, Volusia County struck again and delayed our project more than 60 days requiring a Floor Variance, just before the holidays. They took their time processing everything. The entire time, Tim was patient and understanding. He kept in touch with us and did not waste time when we were able to move forward. He was a wealth of knowledge and guidance for us. His experience with materials, preparation, and construction documentation was valued through the entire process. Tim was very resourceful and when the county made things difficult, he had answers and local resources that cut time and kept things moving. If you are looking to get concrete work done, talk to Tim before you decide on a contractor, you will not regret it. We are VERY HAPPY with the results. We will not call anyone else for concrete work.

UPDATE: Bruzz was subcontracted through another roofing company for this job. They did reach out…read moreand offer to return to clean up and make things right, which I appreciate. Since I had already handled the cleanup myself, I declined their offer. I hope moving forward there's more attention to preparation and proper demo practices so situations like this can be avoided for other clients. I want to share my experience so others know what to expect. When the roofing work started, the lack of professionalism was obvious. There was little to no preparation--no tarps were laid down, and debris was scattered all over my yard. I recently had landscaping done, and it was frustrating to see roofing materials, nails, and trash . Even after the job was "completed," cleanup was incomplete. I'm still finding roofing debris in my backyard, on my grill, and even on my smoker. They also damaged my outdoor lamps and didn't bother to fix or properly replace them. To make matters worse, they left behind leftover materials, including a large box of nails and roofing liner. Oh and because they had little care for prep my dog's water/food bowls had material thrown on them. If I wasn't paying attention they would of ingested that stuff. As someone who grew up around roofing (my father is a roofer), I can say this level of carelessness is not normal--it's sloppy. While the roof itself may look fine at a glance, the overall experience and lack of respect for my property were disappointing. I would strongly encourage others to be cautious and ask detailed questions upfront before hiring this company.
