Butter chicken with garlic naan
Steve S.

This was the only restaurant open when I booked a flight for around 1 am. I had zero expectations since airport food generally does not generate any accolades. It was extremely pricy. $25 for one butter chicken with a side of naan. But it was late, and curry was in order. The food arrived pretty quickly, around 15 minutes. The butter chicken arrived kind of lukewarm but otherwise was actually pretty satisfying, although a bit too mild for me, but still very flavourful. The portion was a regular one person sized entree. I got a side of the garlic naan for an extra $2 and tbh it blew my world. It was warm and soft but toasted around the edges. It really took the meal to a whole another level. Definitely will be ordering more naan in the future lol

Fancy ordering system with iPads. Investment would have been better in food. Coffee not good, cold and v expensive at C$3.50. Service was pretty quick but airport not v busy at the time

This place hasn't been reviewed in awhile but its been around a long time, so they must be doing…read moresomething right. We ate in at an available table, though this does seem to be more of a take out joint - there are three or four tables. When we said we were staying, they said we could pay at the end. All the food is on disposable plates and there's no table service or water brought out. The food was ready at different times and the person in the kitchen just said the name of the food and looked at us and we got it from the counter. The chat burger was so flavorfuland comes comes cut up but still together like a burger. It's doused in sauce, diced fresh red onion, a bit of diced tomato, and other toppings. It was fantastic. The food is spicy but also sweet and super flavorful. The masala fries were very good and I don't know if I'll ever feel the same about just ketchup and fries again. The vegetable momos were very good but eclipsed by all the other delicious food. The vegan kalga gyro (they say Jy-ro) came wrapped up with fries, onion, cucumber, melted daiya, and at least two delicious sauces. Quite a hidden gem. We were the only white people in there, which is usually a good sign. They seem to do a steady take out business including pizzas. I didn't see lasagna anywhere on the current menu.

This place looks a bit dingy but they have a huge spread: 11 veg + 11 non-veg curries, plus 1 veg +…read more1 non-veg briyani ; there were rarer dishes like egg curry, methi malai chicken & rajma. On top of that, there's a dry meat corner & a fried stuff corner. They cover a lot of ground, eg there's both dry & gravy chili chicken. The spread is probably big because it's also used for takeout (I saw staff scooping food from the buffet into a container a few times). The food is mostly of decent quality. Best of all, they're really cheap: Saturday dinner was $17.99 plus tax. They get 4.5 stars. The fried rice was tasteless but the veg Hakka noodles were pretty good. The Butter Naan was decent as naan but a bit dry for butter naan. Butter chicken used tandoori chicken, giving extra flavour & had a very rich sauce (shared with the paneer makhani). It was especially good. There were quite a few desserts: fruit, 2 mini cakes, ice cream & Indian deserts, Both mini cakes were dry. The Indian desserts & fruit were decent. There were 6 ice cream flavours but 3 were super icy & hard & 2 were super soft.

The Butter chicken was slightly on the sweeter side and the garlic naan had a sufficient amount of garlic and butter. Overall, I really enjoyed the meal and would recommend it if you caving some wholesome food. However, I wish they gave more chicken pieces with the gravy. I would love to try their all you can eat buffet if I happen to be in the area.
