Spent 5 nights at the Cabin on the Hill. The cabin was…read moreperfect! It was clean and needed nothing. The hot tub was great....especially with snow covered mountain tops in the background. We were lucky enough to see a group of deer which appear to make their home not far from the cabin. This was our first trip with Cosby Creek Cabins, I'm confident there will be more to come! Definitely recommend this one!!

This is a long one... First of all let me say thanks for…read moreruining our birthday and anniversary weekend get away. Our issues started by us getting lost and driving around in a circle for an hour due to poor directions provided, ( and do not say that we cannot read, your emailed directions state to come to a "Y" in the road, when it is a "T" and you need to turn to the right. We go in and do a preliminary walk through, which is a normal thing for me to do, we discover the TV does not work, just comes up to a blank screen, (no network available), so I make a call to the office and have to leave a message. Almost immediately after I hang up, my huband tells me to call back because the hot tub would not come on, before I call the office again, I look for a disconnect for it and could not find one, and then check the breaker to make sure that it was not tripped, which it wasn't, so I call the office again and leave another message. I get a call back about 5 minutes later from the property manager. When I tell him that there are issues, including bad directions, he gets hateful and states, "well there is nothing wrong with our directions, no one has ever gotten lost going up there." I then talk about the TV and hot tub not working and proceed to tell him that we have already checked the breaker in the panel box for the hot tub and that it was not tripped, and that the TV says no network on it. He then rudely states "well if it is that bad pack up and leave." I had read the previous reviews and had seen that he has done this to others in the past. They did get someone up there quickly, so kudos for that. Other issues we had were: Queen bed sags to the middle so bad that we moved down to the couch and the twin bed at 3am. Ceiling fan too low to bed 3 1/2 to 4ft up. Sleeper sofa, hard as a rock, could not sleep there. Kitchen sink faucet so loose that you cannot temp the water properly, got scalded several times. Shower has very little to no pressure. Toilet is loose and swivels. Shower curtain had a stain on it (dried toothpaste, soap, or bodily fluids) Kitchen pots and pans have loose handles, about to come apart. Trash and debris all around the outside of the cabin. Loud ORV / side by side driving and revving engine at all hours of the night, stopping and sitting by the cabin. Dust on all the blinds, mantle, light fixtures (cleaning person must be very short or never looks up) I felt like if I had have called back to the office, that the property Mgr would have been rude again. I was so upset all weekend that I did not enjoy myself, did not relax, nor rest. Needless to say, unless there are major changes, we will not be back! $300+ for 2 nights is bs, and then charged a fee for cleaning, and the cabin was cleaner when we left than it was when we got there. I feel that we should be refunded no less than 1/2 of what we paid, due to all of the above. Y'all came highly recommended from a local friend, that was embarrassed when we told them all the issues.

With the majestic Smoky Mountains as a backdrop even a ramshackle lean-to with a poly tarp for a…read moreroof would be sufficient. But for many - as with my family - a getaway should feature a bit more. And more is exactly what you get from a stay at Lee's Cabin. My wife, toddler daughter, and I have been blessed to be guests at the cabin this week. Our initial interaction with the owner was a very comfortable one and the hospitality was consistent and appreciated. Ginger is beyond a cabin owner. She is a hostess with the absolute 'mostess' and is a huge practitioner of customer service and care. Upon arrival we were greeted with a fall display just off the porch complete with straw bales, a scarecrow, and some pumpkins. What a way to say "hello!" Once in the cabin the greeting continued with a beautiful autumn hearth display and autumn smells. This theme continued with the dining table centerpiece, and a few other knick-knacks. Now this being our 9th or 10th cabin rental in the mountains we are beyond being impressed simply by black bear statues, oversized furniture, antler lamps, and folksy signage. We want a bit more creature comfort and substance. We found that with a large, flat screen TV in the living area, a pool table, a flat screen in the master bedroom (in viewing range of both the fireplace and the jet tub), washer/dryer facilities, a well stocked kitchen (minus the food, of course, but with things like a blender, knife block, and fiestaware-like dishes), ceiling fans to circulate the air, and - most importantly for our device happy family - fast and reliable WiFi (13.35 Mbps download and 2.41 Mbps upload). I would like to say our first few hours were spent admiring the view and the seclusion of the cabin itself. Alas, it was not. Instead we took turns (one-at-the-time for maximum enjoyment) soaking in the jet tub and watching television. For a family-on-the-go, it was a rather great way to start our time. Afterwards we took in the sweeping views on the back porch while rocking away in 1 of 3 wooden, rocking chairs. With a hot cup of coffee, no forced conversation, and the crisp air...well, you can't book time like that! Other standouts of Lee's Cabin for us were the comfortable beds (one downstairs and one upstairs) and cozy sheet sets, EXCELLENT water pressure in both showers (one upstairs and one downstairs), a grill/smoker on the back deck, a breakfast bar/countertop to enjoy afternoon hors d'oeuvres on, maps and menus of the area, and a prime parking spot just at the front porch entrance! We certainly have enjoyed our time here (and even had clean laundry to return home with!) and look forward to a future opportunity at Lee's Cabin. NOTE: If you are like me and tend to forget things like shaving cream, soap, and even laundry detergent, no worries. Ginger has thought of everything leaving each guest (or so it seems) with coffee pods and condiments, soap, shampoo, and bath gel in the bathrooms, plenty of fresh linens, single-use laundry detergent and dryer sheets, and there is even a sanitary seal on the toilet seats!

I'll start off by saying, I did read the only other review & it doesn't quite seem to add up to…read morethis place. I've counted like 6 cabins here on the campground, of which none are pictured like the one in the previous review. Perhaps they have another area I've not seen? Anyhow. We are located right behind the pavilion. When we first arrived, the pavilion was packed with people gathered making homemade ice cream. Although we were invited, we declined so we can get unpacked and head out to dinner. We went to the pool as well, our son had a blast. It was salty, which after some research discovered it's most likely from the use of liquid chlorine, no big deal. The cabin itself. It's small, cozy and clean. Loved the little kitchen area, with the mini fridge and coffee pot. It has a futon as well, which we pulled out for our son to sleep on. The shower is extremely small, which it was difficult to get my son in there with me for a quick wash after the pool. I'll have to remember to make sure places have a tub for our little one(s). I went to move the shower head and water squirt out of the top, so I quickly left it alone. The bed, ehh. Not that comfy, but more comfortable than if we camped out in a tent The pillows were mediocre, so we went and got a few pillows of our own. Overall, the cabin is nice. It's simple & it's exactly what was pictured online. Had extra blankets, towels, silverware, etc. The cabin itself is for sure my favorite part. I do appreciate that unlike a hotel, they don't bother with cleaning until you leave. Which I like. Overall, I wouldn't want to be located near the pavilion again. I'd like to see where the cabin is the other reviewer spoke of. But in general, based on personal taste & nothing against Arrow Creek, we will likely look for something more secluded next time. So, I will say, it's Monday night & we leave tomorrow. It was extremely quiet outside tonight. I barely seen or heard anyone at all. Perhaps the noise was from everybody celebrating the 4th.

We had to delay our trip by one day due to illness and called ahead to move our prepaid night to Saturday, but were told no changes were allowed even though rooms were available. The room itself was quiet but very small, and the shower was tiny. We also expected a farm-to-table dinner, but learned it required 48-hour notice, which wasn't mentioned anywhere. Overall, nice setting but poor communication and very little flexibility.

We had a 10 day trip planned and both other lodgings gave us full credit due to circumstances. Creekwalk was also able to rebook our cancelled cabin, and refused to give us credit card refund. So, they got paid twice for the same cabin. The place may be great, but, their business practices are deplorable.

I made a fairly last minute decision to camp here on my way back to Nashville since:…read more-it's conveniently close to I-40 -had availability -I had a coupon -familiarity with the area -somewhat close to the AT This seasonal campground offers RV sites, camping cabins, and tent sites for rent, and amenities include a camp store, a nice bathhouse, laundry facilities, an in-ground pool, sand volleyball court, playground, pavilion, river access, free WiFi, and is dog friendly. (There's also a rafting company on site on the other side of the property.) On the day of my reservation, I received a call from one of staff advising they were closing the office/store a little early, and gave instructions on the self check-in process which was seamless. Since I didn't have the full catalogue of camping gear in tow, I reserved a camping cabin. These cabins face the Pigeon River, have two windows, electricity, four bunk beds (three twin, one double -- but bring your own bedding since it's not provided), a table and bar stool, a heat/air unit, a mini fridge, a microwave, and a broom and dustpan. On the porch outside I found two chairs and a small table. Directly in front of the cabin (which is the side that faces the river) are a grill and fire ring. I was able to park my vehicle next to the steps leading up into the cabin. Just a short walk away in the bathhouse, each of the bathrooms requires a code for entry. I counted six of them, three of which I had access to via my code, but there may be more elsewhere. Each of three I saw were equipped with a flushing toilet, toilet paper, a sink, mirror, hand soap, hand towels, a bench, and a tiled shower. It's your own private, fully functional bathroom (when you're using it, that is). Bring your own towels and toiletries, and you're set! Oh yeah! This is glamping for sure! The one immediate drawback I noted was the interstate noise. 40 is right there, and loud. Inside the cabin with the air unit fan running, I couldn't hear it very much, but outside...ugh. The second thing I was surprised about was the office/store. I read they're open everyday from 0800-1700. I totally get closing early in the afternoon, but the office/store literally was not opened at all during my entire visit. I was disappointed. Fortunately, there's another store nearby where I was able to procure firewood. I like this place a lot aside from the two above-mentioned items, and I would consider camping here again despite them...especially for the right price.
