As of now this is the best Cuban pizza I have had in all of miami. Real authentic, reasonable prices, and good service.

The pizzas are deep dish style. The 10" pizzas are personal sized and very filling. We ordered the Hawaiian, shrimp and guava pizza. They were all delicious. The order did take an hour to arrive but it did give an estimated time of 45-60 minutes when I placed the order. read more

They offer pick-up or delivery during Covid. They do not offer outdoor seating & there's no need to step a foot in the restaurant, they turned their front door into a pick-up window. We ordered ahead, picked up & enjoyed a hot personal pizza, which is meant for a big appetite! I've had Cuban pizza at other establishments, but none compare to this one! Being a Chicago girl, I do miss having some sauce dripping from my pizza, but Cuban pizza isn't saucy. The Neapolitan noodles are thick & very cheesy w/ a kind of Cuban sweet sauce. This used to be my favorite pizza place. I used to order pizza every Sunday and Friday night. They used to make the best cuban pizza but lately their pizza sucks. I just ordered a pizza and apparently they changed the box to a cheaper material and the pizza absorbed the ink from the box and it tasted like ink and on top of that it was EXTREMELY salty. $20 for a large pizza that was inedible. SUPER DISAPPOINTED. This pizzeria went from the best cuban pizza in kendall to the worst pizza. read more

Thank you Marakas for leveling up the Cuban Pizza experience in Miami. Cubans believe in going big or going home and pizza is NOT an exception. Marakas will not disappoint! We ordered a half Hawaiian, half chorizo pizza and it was perfect! The toppings were perfectly cooked underneath the cheese and the pizza crust thick and perfectly cooked. We also ordered a ham spaghetti and OMG, it was so good! The service was very good, it was a bit crowded and the music inside was a bit loud, but the food was so worth. Will be back! read more

Great service and friendly staff. Very nicely decorated and very clean. It was my first time trying Cuban pizza. I usually like my pizza NY style (thin and foldable), but I was pleasantly surprised with the Cuban style pizza. It is a deep dish type pizza with crispy crust on the bottom and fluffy inside. We ordered a small chorizo pizza, a small Hawaiian pizza, a crema de queso and a ham spaghetti. Everything was very tasty and worth the price. Almost forgot... I will not eat at this place again! Not because of the food, but because of the way you are treated by the employees! Don't know if this is all the employees or just the one who delivered my order to me. I got an order from this place and did not leave tip due to the amount of time I had to wait.. the place is less than 10 MINUTES from where I order it from.. and it took an hour and to the point where we were not even hungry anymore! This is not even the worst part. The delivery man was EXTREMELY RUDE & super unprofessional, called me back to my PERSONAL cell & his exact words were "thank you for the tip, not even $1 " in Spanish.. I am so glad I did not tip this man he was super disrespectful & unprofessional!!! Do not think an employee is supposed to do this whatsoever. Was SUPER excited to try this place out after seeing all their great reviews. However, I was a little disappointed when I got my food. I will say that I did not go into the restaurant and instead had my food delivered. Delivery time: 45 mins. To start with, I had the frituras de malanga. They were tasty but already cold and soggy by the time they arrived. Cheese pizza was okay. Very thick (typical Cuban pizza) and a little overpowering on the bread; could have used more tomato sauce and cheese to make sure it wasn't just toasted bread that you're eating. Chorizo spaghetti was bland and pale. Looked like they just threw some sauce over the cooked spaghetti without stirring or making sure sauce blended well. Would MAYBE give it another shot if I go to restaurant and eat there. Would not recommend delivery. read more

I would've left 5 stars but the delivery service took so long when I placed the last order. It took over an hour and a half for a pizza and a pasta dish. BUT, I spoke to the manager, they actually refunded my $ for the order instantly or not long after. Yelp notified me that the restaurant called to place the refund. Didn't expect that. Let me start by saying I love to eat Cuban style pizza.. this place was highly recommended. A 40 Minutes drive from my my house... but worth the drive Marakas has very slick and modern ambience. There were a little waiting time for a table. Meaning food is good when people wait. I ordered my classic Pizza & spaghetti Napolitano, great texture, soft in the middle, the cheese was very creamy, crispy all around (perfect) iI have to ask the sweet waitress what kind of cheese they used. She told me was a mix (house secret recipe) For appetizer, we ordered the empanadas de pollo. Home made delicious also ordered sweet potatoes fries and a strawberry milk shake. Love it .. The staff super nice, fast service very friendly, knowledge of every item on the menu.. (they also has different food like churrasco tabla ibérica, etc). Last night was my first time trying their pizza. We ordered a cheese pizza and a Hawaiian pizza, both a small. The small is the perfect size for one person. The prices for the small pizzas range from about 6-9 bucks so it's extremely affordable. This is some damned good Cuban style pizza! There isn't a crust, per say, but it does have some crispy cheesy edges that are awesome! The pizza is very doughy and soft. They are FAR better than Rey's pizza, and comparable to Polo Norte. We ordered it for delivery and the pizzas arrived within the quoted time and was still warm. I look forward to ordering from them again. read more

I really didn't want to give them 3 stars cause the food here is amazing, one of the best pizzas in Miami. But the delivery service and takeout really sucks, they take forever! I've ordered delivery two times in a row and today take out and the wait has been extremely long! Today for the pick Up they said 25 minutes, when we get there it's not ready so we went to the car to wait, they said they bring it over, apparently they forgot we were there waiting in the car. We waited a whole hour in the car! We had to go twice to remind them. The Other times I've ordered for delivery even worse, i've had to call around three times to remind them about my order when the pizza gets there almost cold. Def a lunch spot to hit up if you're on a budget. My son and I ate plenty and our bill was under $12 bucks (soda can drink included). I had the Especial Vitanuova which was basically ham Spanish style sausage and spaghetti with a red marinara sauce along with some kind of béchamel sauce. It was super rich for my taste (tons of cheese) but def had good flavor. My sons pizza was very tasty as well but again loaded with cheese. All in all a good experience though and I would give it another try. The service was wonderful. read more

This place was very bright, clean, and provided friendly service! The picadillo pizza with mushrooms was very good. The crust was nice and crispy and ingredients tasted fresh. Pizza came out in about 15 mins while we snacked on our appetizers of garlic rolls and french fries. We got a medium pizza between three people and ended boxing 1/2 to go as the pizza is very filling especially after two appetizers. The cortaditos at the end of the meal were absolutely delicious and kept us awake on our hour drive home. If you're in the area, check this place out! read more
