We visited in March, which doesn't seem to be a popular time of year for tourists. Walking up and…read moredown these streets I felt like every restaurant was going to be a tourist trap (probably was), so I went into this restaurant reluctantly at first... only be to greeted with some thoughtful servers and eating some delicious good value food! We came around 5pm and sat outside as it was absolutely beautiful out and fun to people watch. When you go here, you absolutely must order the sangria which was affordable and so tasty! We ordered the seafood paella for two which ended up being a treat for the both of us. If you're not afraid of carbs also order the bread and butter as we did. I read somewhere that it's typical Mallorcan food to use garlic in butter, and wow this butter was amazing. It also came with some olives, and absolutely everything altogether made our night of decadence so memorable. I'd definitely visit again!

Well, I followed my dear Yelpers and decided to visit that place in August…read more Let me say this, if you are coming from America, you will notice one big thing in almost every Mallorca Restaurant. Air Conditioning in almost any place is graded as - satisfactory only. It does not matter, if outside temperature is 105F, which was my situation ( remember, it's August) Therefore, you would need to cool off longer and drink that icy beverages before actually eating warm dishes. The place has very modern and trendy interior and looks great on outside. The service was fast and great. Now, when we ordered drinks, they were watered down to a level of fruit punch juice. The drink looked great, in a very long glass filled with fruits. I was with my gf and we ordered mixed sea food Paella and MacCheese. Well, Paella's rice was hard... like ok, man....we gotta do something here and maybe finish it in a rice cooker? I have never tried paella with hard rice so that was a big turn off. Sea food was good and I loved the plate presentation. MacCheese was just alright, I am not trying to grade them on that, since I don't expect To taste amazing MacCheese in Spain. I need the local flavors. Overall, I would come back and give a second chance but with caution.

Arriving around 6pm, there were only 1-2 other parties so it wasn't very lively, but several others came during our stay there. It had a German/beer theme, not surprising given the number of German tourists that come to visit the island, so it was a blend of cultures represented, let's just say that. My husband ordered plain cheese pizza (we thought we ordered a 4 cheese pizza, but perhaps got lost in translation) which ended up being solid 2.5 star. Was a really flat crust with just enough cheese to top it. Wasn't bad, but also something I'd describe as just fine. I ordered the carbonara pasta, which came super creamy and had pieces of bacon. 3.5 stars for creaminess, the taste was pretty much like an alfredo sauce. Was lacking a bit of oomph, perhaps some peas, but it was a fairly generous serving, and the table came with chili oil and had a generous bowl of parmesan (like the one from a green container, on-the-shelf) which was definitely needed and appreciated. Overall our experience here was just fine, nothing bad and I'd recommend it if you're absolutely craving generous "pasta" and are within walking distance, may not be authentic but it'll surely fill you up.There were also HUGE TVs here showing local games, so can definitely be a fun place to come w/ friends and watch games, if thats your kinda thing!

This place was risky because it it's right in the middle of the old district amidst shops of all different kinds. Somewhere can look nice on the outside but be a bit rubbish on the inside, but Tramuntana was not one of these places - in fact is was surprisingly nice! Firstly, the food (the most important bit). As an Englishman who'd just moved to Mallorca, I'd never heard of "Pintxos" before. The menu contains Tapas and Pintxos, with Pintxos being warm versions of 'things on bread', around the same size as Tapas. These are fantastic! We had the mini beefburger, and veal with caramelised onions - both had the onions and they were brilliant! So definitely try those. We were hungry but not starving, and had a mix of 6 Tapas and Pintxos between us and we're pretty full by the end. If you order the cold Tapas you have to stand up and go to the counter to order it, but Pintxos are ordered at your table. We were waiting about 20 minutes to order our food and I had to ask about the Pintxos, so try that if you're concerned about waiting a while. There's free WiFi here; (I'm writing my review off it) and the password is "atasteofspain" without the quotes. The waiters are friendly but a little slow - I think this is a Spanish thing here though. With great food and milkshakes, we're definitely going to be coming here again. The only reason this isn't 5 stars is because of the time taken to get our food, so don't come here if you're in a rush (ours was a late lunch).
