They have a nice outdoor patio which makes for a nice option in the summer. We started with miso soup and edamame (spicy). Next, we loved the fact that their "regular" maki rolls included the option in the roll but also on top as well - served with avocado and cucumber which makes for a really nice filling maki roll. We had the Kamikaze (excellent) and the Octo. Finally, we loved the fire cracker roll and liked 7 bridges, but was our least favorite one. However, truly, all 4 maki rolls were so good. Average prices, great and friendly staff, fast service, don't sleep on Chef Soon!

We ordered the poke nachos (surprisingly tasty & a fun twist!) and a couple of specialty rolls to split, plus we each ordered the Japanese Spritz. The spritz was a fun spin on an Aperol spritz with sake & fresh fruit. If I were judging solely based on food, service & the general vibes/decor of the dining room, this would be 5 stars. However, the bathrooms were in tough shape - while the design of the bathroom is great, it wasn't well maintained, cleaned or appropriately stocked with toilet paper & hand soap (it was there, but kind of all over the place). My husband had a similar experience in the men's room. I'd go back, but it's not going to make it in my list of regular haunts.

The servers were also genuinely friendly and helpful, which made the whole experience even better. Definitely a spot I'd go back to.

I think next time it would be better for more people that way we can try more stuff on the menu, they do charge a dollar per piece of leftovers. They also have a section for seafood boil which I am really interested in trying and because of that I am definitely coming back. Service was great. Parking is not an issue. And the place is pretty special because it is one piece themed which I found out was a very famous anime. Happy eating!

I wanted to give them 4 or 5 stars, BUT: one item, the All Blue Roll, is dangerously mislabeled. The menu described it as "spicy salmon, avocado inside, top w. salmon and lemon, top w. tobiko, yozu sauce." Interestingly that's the exact same description given for their Zeff Roll, which costs $1.25 more. However, the All Blue Roll is NOT topped with salmon or lemon, just shredded imitation crab under the tobiko and yozu sauce. We had people with shellfish allergies in our group, and purposefully ordered nothing with any shellfish ingredients. For those who will ask, imitation crab is made with crab-derived ingredients and will trigger a shellfish allergy. I don't know if the menu is incorrect or if the chef made a random substitution, but if we hadn't noticed in time, we would have had a life-threatening medical emergency to deal with. It also forced us to question and take apart every other item in our order to make sure other items were safe for our group. Put a big damper on what would otherwise have been a great evening. For the prices they charge, the overall quality was acceptable, nothing to rave about but fine. But this gaffe will prevent us from going here again.

Blue is a damn, damn good place to go. The vegan options are wide and varied (Hello full vegan…read moremenu), and most importantly - good. It is a bit pricey as it is a downtown Naperville location, but it fits for a lot of family activities that tend to match what I do: friends in Bartlett, swimming events nearby, etc. They have two(!) nice outdoor seating areas in addition to lots of space inside - making this a great consideration for summer. I've been here at least 2 if not 3 times now, and I will be coming again. Happy hour menu during Happy hour (which I believe is Sunday) is well worth it. The options for happy hour are large, probably the best happy hour menu I've seen, EVER. The deals included drinks and food. I tried the white peach daiquiri and it was refreshing. It was a bit on the artificial side but overall I really liked it. It comes with boba which I found super fun for this drink. For food we tried the calamari and 4 different rolls. I don't normally like fried calamari but from Blue I LOOOOVED it. It was crispy, tasty and also comes with veggies. All the rolls were delicious too. A friend suggested we try the cowgirl roll and surprisingly it was so good! Reminded me of a cheeseburger in sushi form, super fun! Anytime I've been in town and have a sushi craving, this is my go-to and has been for the past 5 years. Staff is incredibly friendly and attentive, the menu has a wide variety of options - including appetizers, traditional rolls, specialty rolls, and so on - and the food is always fresh, made-to-order, and leaves my tastebuds doing backflips! This time around, we ordered our usual appetizers - crab rangoons, shrimp shumai, chicken karaage, & miso soup - as well as a handful of rolls including the color dragon roll, regular dragon roll, fire dragon roll, yelllow tail roll, the sweet 16 roll, and an assortment of nigiri and sashimi. We ordered enough sushi to have it served on a boat (which is always such an exciting feeling!!). As usual, everything was fresh and tasty! The highlights of our sushi boat were definitely the fire dragon roll and the color dragon roll; DYNAMITE flavor! With all that being said, I highly recommend Sushi Nova to all folks that are willing to make the drive out to Westmont and are open to having a delicious experience with loved ones!
