In 2015 I had my left knee replaced and it was a nightmare because the doctor in Los Gatos (will not mention the name) caused an infection and in the leg and many visits to correct the complications. Now I need my left knee replaced after exhausting all other remedies, injections, PRP, stem cells, steroids and meniscus repair, PT exercises but the last X-Ray showed bone on bone. My search started and after a few months found Dr. Sah and his team's reviews. Also a good friend had just had a partial knee replaced a few weeks ago with Dr. Sah and was totally impressed! I met Dr. Sah February 3, 2021 and a few members of his team and after seeing my current X-Rays (they did the X-Ray while I was there) and Dr. Sah explained his procedure, type of prosthesis he suggested and uses I felt I was in the right place. Dr, Sah expressed that he had an opening February 18th and could do the surgery then. I asked if I could confirm this date in the next day or 2 and he assured me that this would be OK. i again did more research and was convinced that he was the right surgeon for me. Well it is now March 7th, just a little over 2 weeks and i feel like a new man. The prep for surgery was at 4pm and I left the hospital at 9 pm. I watched the complete surgery on the monitor and talked to Dr. Sah, the PA and anesthesiologist through the 1 hour surgery and was totally impressed with how his whole team operates. Pre-op, op and post-op has been a wonderful experience and am so glad that I chose Dr. Sah his team for my second knee replacement. I called on Monday to get some answers and got a recording that they return calls within 24-48 hours so I left a message. I called Tuesday and left a message. I called Wednesday and left a message. I called Thursday and left a message. Finally I kept trying differed extensions and a office clerk answered. I was told that the MRI order was sent in that day! Two weeks just to have the order sent in! I demanded to speak to a supervisor. The office manager went through all the excuses about how busy they are, which were pathetic excuses for not getting any return calls, and for the delay in having the order sent in. She assured me that the order was now sent in. So, I call Radiology back and they tell me they have the order, but Dr Cash did not get insurance approval so it will take another two weeks before I can even make an appointment for the MRI. I like Dr Cash, and have seen him in the past, but his office staff is completely incompetent!

He affirmed when my family has experienced with the VC radiologists; for the most part with my family's care that they just cannot read X-Rays correctly. Some horrible and dangerous errors have been made by VC's radiologist at our expense...incredible. Beware of that issue. He was more helpful than ANY of the many doctors assigned my care during hospital stays. He didn't do any "ass covering" for doctors who had messed up my care. That is very appreciated by my entire family. Big loss of stars regarding respect for our time. My husband was by my side for most of the experiences with Dr. Schmidt, including taking time off from work. Not happy about Dr. Schmidt's disregard for our time. When hospitalized, he was many hours late visiting me to release me from the hospital. During in-office visits, he left a lobby filled with patients waiting and waiting and waiting. First visit- the lobby wait was about an hour and a half. There was also a long wait in the exam room. During my second visit, I became very frustrated after waiting in the hallway for the staff to return from lunch, waiting in the lobby and then waiting in the exam room. The exam room wait alone was an hour. After that full hour wait, I got dressed and asked a receptionist if the doctor was even IN the office. She answered that he was not there, nor would he answer the several pages she made to him. I asked for my co-pay refund and happily walked out of his office. The only complaint we had about this part of the visit is that the front desk people can be a bit brusque and abrupt. They weren't rude, but they weren't welcoming and warm either. A bit of charm would help. The doctor was incredibly thorough and patient with my father. He spent close to an hour talking to my father and mother about my father's medical history, what kind of problems he was experiencing and other matters to give him a full understanding of what he was working with. It was refreshing to see a doctor take his time to really get to know his patient. My dad found Dr. Schmidt to be personable, professional and warm. After that, the doctor did a physical exam and gave us his overview of the medical situation and a proposed plan of action to help my dad. It's still early in the process, but after the first office visit we are very pleased to have found Dr. Schmidt.

Not only severe pain 24/7, but also nerve shocks throughout the day, in addition to a lack of progress in flexion. The overhang continually scraped the soft tissue and nerves on the inner and backside of my knee. Prior to my 1 year anniversary Dr. Sah's office didn't allow me to make another appointment. They said that they would contact me, they didn't. Dr. Litman sat in his chair and asked me a number of questions; NOTHING related to my neck. He asked me about my family's health. He asked me about my health. He asked me why I like to use 2 digits in my birthdate rather than using one digit (ie.04/02 instead of 4/2) - WHO FRIGGEN CARES! It went on and on on until I finally said, " Dr, Littman, I don't mean to be rude, but what does any of this have to do with my neck? I'm pressed for time and need to go back to work. Are you even going to examine my neck?" He said he always asks these questions and will check my neck shortly. FINE. BUT I AM IN A LOT OF PAIN and my neck has been hurting for 5 days straight. So he proceeds to ask me if I was in a car accident? I said NO. Then he said, "when was the last time you were in a car accident?" HUH?? LIKE 3-4 years ago??? He writes everything down and finally recommends that I get an xray done. Then he says he thinks I might have degenerative joint disease and explains that it's similar to getting a whiplash....from a car accident. OK, everyone can have this disease - my question is how did I get it? If I even have it?? Certainly NOT FROM A CAR ACCIDENT that i haven't been in one for YEARS! Look, he graduated from Yale, I'm sure he's a smart man but his practice is OLD SKOOL and rather just talk and sit there, I was hoping to be examined and help alleviate the pain. He said to come back next week - I can't bare to wait another week! Dr. Littman, I think it's time for you to retire. He will call us at home and will always listen to our concerns. He is a well respected doctor in the bay area. He has made phone calls to help us acquire treatment for our daughter at Children's Hospital when another pediatric doctor could not get us an appointment after two years. Dr Litman and his family have always been very kind to us. I know that some individuals have not been happy with his practice but I would like to note he had back surgery in 1997 and while he was out he had two other Doctors cover for him and he as well called patients. He then had a tragic mishap with his house burning down and the lost of his son. He came back and treated his patients with care. Just recently he lost his wife after a battle with cancer. All of these life changing moments and he has been there for his patients. We care about Dr. Litman and will continue to see him until he retires. We are very thankful for his care and knowledge. I am glad to say the nurses of today have improved and that is great, as it has been a few years since he had as great a nursing staff as he did from 1997-2008.
