The owner came out, inspected, explained in detail what we needed and gave us a quote. He also offered that Xcel was offering a rebate for some of the work we needed down and they would file all the paperwork for it. He was on time, personable and professional and the bid was reasonable and fair. We had the work done and the crew that did the work was on time, efficient, did an excellent clean up after the work was done. They did file the rebate and we received it in the time Xcel said it would take to receive it. It's rare these days to find a business that is honest, timely and fair with respectful crews but Houle Insulation was all of that and more. I would HIGHLY recommend them and in all honesty I am a hard to please customer because I won't "settle" for less than I expect. These guys are good. Because they are good they are busy so just know it may take a little longer to get scheduled but the wait is worth it! We have noticed a huge difference this winter. Heating bills are down and the house feels warmer.

Hired them to redo my rotting deck of 17 years. Original estimate looked good and was told it…read morewould take their crew 2 days from start to finish - and if needed would work into a 3rd day. 1st day when the crew started to tear down the old deck some rotting trusses were found and one person whined about that (how would anyone know what the wood looked like under the old decking??), they knocked rotted wood and nails all over leaving me to clean it up, different crew showed up a few days later and didn't miter the corners leaving one side to stick out to scratch your leg up, 3rd crew showed up and complained about having to re-do everyone's work, missed several screws and had to call them out twice to put them in. The end bill was $1,000 over the initial estimate and took a grand total of 7 full days and 2 part days to re-do the deck. Would not recommend this company - should have gone with another bid.
