Stephanie of Spaces Reinvented is particularly gifted at... reinventing spaces! I was at a loss for…read moredecorating our tiny living and dining rooms; their hideosity has long been a dispiriting challenge. When Stephanie came in for an initial consult, she asked the right questions and identified the problems She immediately (and tactfully) proposed practical remedies. Carefully working with what we had already, she came up with color and style ideas. In a short time she came up with great alternatives for colors, paint, flooring, furniture and fabrics. She devised better furniture layouts for flow and openness. Stephanie's solutions cleared up my thinking immensely. For example, it never occurred to me to get rid of my clunky computer corner. She had excellent ideas for an office niche: now I don't know why I put up with my corner mess for so long. She made me realize that it is better to expose our handsome wood floors than hide them under disproportionately-large rugs. Not only did Stephanie provide insightful suggestions for the main rooms; she spent time going through the other spaces in the house, answering questions and making clever recommendations. Stephanie is a wonderful listener. I am easily intimidated by experts, but she is so personable and easy to work with, plus she's very generous. She made it seem like we are a team. I think she could solve anyone's design dilemmas. It's always a pleasure to watch a gifted professional perform her particular magic, and I look forward to seeing her again.

That background taught her how to read a situation quickly, spot what others miss, and make clear decisions under pressure. Those same instincts now shape how she approaches every design project. She walks into a home and can see exactly what it needs and in what order. That combination of analytical training and design education is what makes The Considered Approach™ work. It is not just a process on paper. It is how she actually thinks. Spaces Reinvented offers full-service residential interior design for homeowners across the Twin Cities who want professional guidance and a process they can trust. Every project is approached the same way: understand the home and the goals first, then define the right path forward. We manage every phase from space planning and material selections to furniture sourcing and installation, so nothing falls through the cracks and the finished home actually holds together. We also provide strategic home staging for homeowners preparing to sell in the Minneapolis-St. Paul market.

I came in specifically to look at Joybird sofas as they are an authorized retailer and have sofas on the sales floor. Its scary to make an online purchase (and such a large, custom purchase) without touching and feeling an item, so I was thrilled to learn this store was so close to home and had what I was looking to purchase. I had a great time working with Kristin. After countless emails and a couple visits to the store I ordered my sofa, and also ended up with a chair and lamp. Kristin was great to offer her designer opinion while listening to mine and helping me make the big decision based on my existing home design. They offer financing (OAC) and 'white glove' delivery (they take all the packaging stuff with them when they leave, set the item in the room of your choosing) just like Joybird, but they will for other items you purchase there, too. The kicker is the 2 week in home trial period. Keep it for two weeks and if you decide you hate it they will take it back to the store and offer you store credit to replace the item. This really eased my worry about spending 2K on a sofa I may not like as much in person. I can't wait until it arrives! They also have home decor items here, like pillows and lamps. Its a super fun place to just look around and get inspiration, or fall in love with a custom fox lamp which would totally look amazing on your nightstand. Or maybe that fun mounted anatomical model of a heart on your desk. Or maybe that chair with acrylic arms. You get the idea... Inventory is changing constantly, so visit often. See you there!

I immediately knew I was going to be at home in this store. There was furniture and accessories, for you neutral people there was plenty of that. For those of us who like color, plenty of that too. My designer Billie was super sweet and let me browse but also let me know that anything can be custom ordered and that this is just a small sampling of what they can get for me. I wasn't sure if I could afford it so I had her price out a chair for me it was $1100 but they had a 20% off sale so it would be $880. I'm new to furniture shopshopping so I went to another store later (La-Z-Boy) and it was comparable to that. I walked in at 20 minutes to closing on a Sunday night, but Billie didn't seem rushed at all. I was the one saying "let's just wrap this up. Can you give me something to look at online?" And she gave me two websites she thought I would like based on our conversations and looking at what they have to offer. I will see where our furniture shopping journey takes me but I plan to be back!
