A small store though they have lots of fudge on display along with peanut brittle and other candy. Each fudge piece is $6.50 and they have a deal where you buy 3 and get one free, but how many people want to get 4 pieces? They should make it, buy 2 and get one free. We went with the chocolate walnut and it was super sweet, but a bit too hard on the outside. It needed more walnuts as well.

Candy shop in lovely Niagara on the lake with delicious maple smell wafting out the door...that's why I went in. They had lots of fudge and some samples to try. They also have other candy and treats. I opted for the giant chocolate covered caramel....not dairy free but oh so good!

A friend of mine is originally from the area, so when she found out I would be up this way she told me I HAD to go to Niagara on the Lake and that I HAD to go to Maple Leaf Fudge. When I finally arrived to Queen Street (which is more adorable than I can put into words), I happened to find a parking spot right in front of Maple Leaf Fudge. The shop is super cute, and full of candy that will send anyone into a diabetic coma. The selection is great - a nice mix of real fudge and pre-packaged goods, in addition to maple syrup, cookbooks, etc. - and I managed to do all of my "souvenir" shopping for my office and my Canadian friend all in one place. The prices seemed alright, but I really wouldn't know since I don't eat fudge. The staff was hit or miss - one woman told me what their most popular fudge was, but seemed very disinterested in helping me further and walked away. The other employees were alright, and the cashier was friendly enough. They do take US and Canadian dollars (as well as credit cards), so if you didn't convert your money like I failed to do, you'll be fine. If you're in the area, be sure to stop in here for some treats.

The most lovely fudge you'll ever try. Thankfully I'm not close or I'd never be able to work off the extra calories! Lovely yummy fresh melt-in-the-mouth fudge plus lots of other lovely sweet confectionery-type goodies such as peanut brittle. Your dentist will be getting lots of extra work. Service is OK if not always bright and it is OK on the speed though sheer volume of traffic through the store looking to buy makes this a bit of a longer ordeal than other shops. Nestled firmly in the centre of a giant tourist trap/attraction, all shops in Niagara-on-the-Lake are busy constantly.

Creamy fudge in exquisite flavors. Boxed for travel or eat it right there. Lots of great shops on Queen Street but this is a real favorite

For super fudge lovers. This place has any type of fudge you can imagine. You can watch them make the fudge and sample their many flavors.

Regardless it was delicious, and definitely one of the few items in the whole place that had a healthy twist, but what do you expect in a chocolate shop? This is a small shop in the heart of Niagara-on-the-Lake and as soon as I walked in I knew I needed one of the caramel apples. They had a quite a variety of different toppings but I chose the cookies and cream one which tasted as good as it looked. The apple was juicy and the caramel coating was chewy and tasty and blended well with the chocolate and crushed cookies. They sliced it to make it easier to eat which was good. The store had a variety of other fine chocolates as well including homemade fudge, chocolate covered strawberries and an assortment of other chocolates. All were a little bit pricey, but also expected in a touristy area like this. All in all a great place to stop in for a treat when vacationing or visiting Niagara-on-the-Lake.

The store is very nice and clean. The chocolates are beautifully displayed. I also liked that there was an employee measuring ingredients right behind the counter! I enjoy seeing people create so that was cool!

If you like cute little restaurants, have a sweet tooth, love gelato or have any dairy free friends this is the place for you. When you approach the restaurant you will notice all of the beautiful lights and you might think, "Wow! I want to check that out!" Then to my surprise, this amazing place I wanted to see was exactly where we were going. The ambiance is really cute and just like its out of a movie. The patio is great during the warm months and the interior is so cute with so much to look at to stimulate your sight. Inside the service is fantastic and they have a bunch of dairy free gelato flavours including a few dairy free chocolates. I ordered a small fairy free chocolate gelato with a dairy free chocolate mint chocolate on top. This was one of the best gelatos I have had all summer. My boyfriend ordered a whit chocolate raspberry gelato with a white chocolate on top (his wasn't dairy free) but it was heavenly. This is such a cute dessert shop, I highly recommend you make it a stop going to or heading back from the Niagara region.

My dear friend and I were shopping at RioCan Durham Centre a couple of Mondays ago. We had come out…read moreof the GAP Factory Store and saw this Purdy Chocolatier store diagonally across from it. I have only seen Purdys at shopping malls. It was my first time seeing a store in a plaza. This Purdys is next to Burgers on Fleek. Does anyone say on fleek anymore?! I remember one of my interns using that phrase back in 2017 or 2018. I would never use slang as a part of a business name, as it becomes dated as time goes on. I frankly hadn't heard of that phrase for years until I saw this business. I digress. I was first introduced to Purdys by two former interns. On their last day of their internship, they both got me chocolates from Purdys. One box had assorted chocolates and the other one had all hedgehog chocolates. Without any hesitation, we headed over to this store after we dropped off our recent purchases at our respective cars. The shopping damage continued at Purdys for me. We walked in. It was a pleasant store. I saw a display for Lunar New Year chocolates. Cool! My friend recently got vegan chocolate from Purdys for Christmas and loved it. She's more of a milk chocolate person than dark. I'm the opposite. I decided to try the vegan dark trail mix bar. I found out that this store has a small section of no-sugar-added chocolates on the right, in the corner, when you first walk in. Yay! I found hedgehog chocolates that didn't have any sugar added and snatched a box. I spoke to the woman at the counter. She was great to point out that the no-sugar-added bars were BOGO. Sweet! Okay, not literally. I noticed a huge chocolate Santa that was 50% off. I asked the woman whether it was hollow. You'd think that I'd get a yes or no response. Nope, I got neither. She said that some parts were thicker than other. So, I'm guessing it's hollow for the most part. I'd die eating that chocolate Santa. Maybe if I paced myself, I could freeze most of it and indulge whenever I wanted to. The woman at the store was nice. She placed everything in a purple bag. I paid with a debit card. I tapped and all was great. This store also has ice cream. I've never had Purdys ice cream, so I'll need to return. I love the chocolate that I bought. The quality is great. Yummy. The no-added-sugar chocolates were perfect. I'm a fan. I still need to have the vegan one. I got sidetracked by all the hedgehogs... haha! This store is awesome. I'll definitely return for more chocolate goodies and more. (8)
