I saw before and after photos as well as the junk they were able to extract from my ducts. When one of the connections between ducting sections blew apart while they were vacuuming that line, they came to me immediately, told me what had happened, and then fixed the connection even better than it was before. The cost seemed a little scary until I saw the depth and quality of the work Jeremy & Vlad did. The outcome has been less dust in the air and a healthier environment for this allergy sufferer. In his blazing forge and on his ringing anvil, he hammers out a symphony of beautiful handcrafted knives and solid soulful works of iron. He un-self-consciously fits the image to perfection, a large and burly man with a huge gray beard and enormous solid biceps, he appears to have stepped straight out of time. If you want to understand the spirit of the blade, he offers classes in the forging of knives which I found to be rewarding on many levels. He also has a great reputation for teaching children. I can imagine little more exciting and rewarding for a child than to take a class in blacksmithing with Nicholas. It would be something a child would never forget... In fact it was something that I will never forget either.

I had never done any black smithing before and I was worried I would end up with a sad lumpy mess, but Nick is an amazing teacher and really works with you to teach you how to make a knife. I have taken other hands on classes (like glass blowing) where you dont get to actually do anything, but this class you are really learning and getting hands on experience. Because there were 4 of us in the class I was able to start a second knife while the others were using the sander to grind their knives. Nick is obviously super knowledgeable and is happy to explain to you not just how something works, but why. We all walked away with really cool knives and I am looking forward to going back. I love this preschool! My son just finished going here and he loved it. It was a really good…read morelearning experience for us as a family. The teacher is wonderful. It's in a historic house in the middle of old Battle Ground which really lends itself to play based learning. The kids don't seem like they are in a classroom setting. They do learn standard preschool academics here but the focus is on social and emotional growth and support and play based learning. My husband and I took turns going to the parent classes lead by the preschool teacher and I truly don't think any one thing has helped our family out more. We are better parents for it. As a co-op you learn and work alongside other families so you can really find a wonderful community here. I really can't recommend this school enough!
