My wife and I heard about some of their in store food service options so we decided to check them out for lunch. We chose burritos and were not disappointed. There were plenty of options to choose from and they are not skimpy on the portions. At about eight bucks, it is a huge amount and delicious. Their main business is a market. There is a wide variety of middle eastern and other products. Fresh produce and quality meats. We have stopped in to pick up some of these and they were great quality. We only got sandwiches made here. My pulled pork sandwich was huge and delicious. Hubby had spinach wrap with grilled veggies and hummus. Both came with pickles and potato chips. Both were a bit messy to eat. I wanted to buy fresh local corn, but I didn't see any in the supermarket part of the store. read more

Maple Farm Foods was a little bit confusing for us because we didn't realize it was actually a grocery store with a deli until we were inside. They had signs claiming to have the best burrito in town, and a huge banner with these dancing, colorful jalapenos and we thought this was a Mexican restaurant, we felt like it was false advertising to be honest. However, once inside we saw that they had quite a number of halal and Mediterranean items so really; I would say this 'maple farm' is actually more of an ethnic store catering to Mediterranean delights more than anything else. I just don't understand why confuse your customers with all the Mexican food signs, then all the Mediterranean food inside, and then having the name "Maple Farms" which would make me think it's probably something like Atkins farm up the street. I hope you find your identity one day Maple Farms, and maybe then, I'll visit you again. read more

It has been a while since we have visited Maple Farm Foods and after our most recent stop, we realized why we love this store. This store has a HUGE selection of grocery items, a hot lunch buffet and anything else you may be looking for. Some of my favorite items include their freshly made peanut butter, their selection of unique cheeses as well as their selection of deli items. Their produce and groceries are good, but their deli needs a lot of work. I've never had something from it that was okay. ...Actually, once, the mushroom and rice soup. That was fine. Everything else has been pretty gross, and the king of those things was the "italian meatballs" I just had. They looked like they'd been sitting there for a long time, but still they looked okay. I got them home and cut into one. They're filled with corn, rice, black beans, carrots and other unidentified veggies. Okay, but how does it taste? Awful. I choked them down because I paid $12 for it. I should have gone to Hot Table across the street, or to Atkins. I think that was Maple Farm's last chance on the deli items, for me. The space is very nice, and in summer is a welcome stop along the bike path with ice cream, outdoor seating quite a view. read more

This place is always a treat to go to whenever we are in the area (usually coming back from a day in Northampton). They have a great selection of fresh produce, a lot of it being local obviously since they are surrounded by farms!! A huge selection of different types of feta cheeses and exotic international foods as well. Tons of spices too! But the part I love the most about this place is the prepared food and hot buffet they have! Ok, I'm not a buffet kinda girl in general, but the stuff they have in their buffets are incredible! slow cooked meats, fresh hot potatoes, mac and cheese, grilled veggies--oh just so much goodness! There is also a cold buffet section which is excellent too. Plus there is a beautiful place to eat if you go outside where it overlooks the farms and bike trails. My idea of heaven: Spending the day with your loved one around Northampton, shopping, indulging, drinking coffee, then on the way home stopping at this place for a few grocery items and dinner at the hot buffet (with dessert) while overlooking the bike trail and farms. read more

Last time I went to Whole Foods, there was a huge line of carts spaced 6 feet apart from the front registers to the meat department at the other end of the store. Dropped my basket and called Maple Food Farms. They picked up in a few seconds, and I asked if they had Aloe leaf and a few other things I needed. They did, so, went around the corner ( only about 1,000 ft away right next to the bike path ) to Maple Food Farms. They have excellent selection of fresh fruits, vegetables at an unbeatable price. They also carry Halal meats, milk, eggs, juice, wine/beer, bakery, flour, dried goods, frozen section ... In short it's a one stop supermarket. Walked right up to the register, and checked out. Not sure if they have organic produce, but I'm willing to skip that to cut down my exposure to covid. read more

This is my favorite place to grocery shop in Western Mass, period (.) It's hard to describe the store, so bullet points might help: 1. They aren't necessarily all about local foods, but they place an emphasis on them when they're in season. 2. Everything is super-cheap. Like really, really, really cheap. I don't know how they make money on fifty-cent bags of pasta imported from Turkey. 3. The selection of Turkish and other foreign delights is great -- I've become slightly addicted to a hot sauce (called Chilly - not Chili- Sauce) from the Republic of Georgia. 4. Their homemade baklava is amazing. Really, really, really amazing. 5. Their meat and cheese departments are severely lacking. But good if you just need a thing or two. 6. They seem to be in a constant state of expansion and renovation, which is confusing but cute. All in all, I don't shop anywhere else unless I need meat. I pop by here for almost everything, then to Whole Foods or Atkins to fill in the gaps with more overpriced fare. read more

I got lost when I first moved here. Coming off of international travel and years living in Berkeley, California to move here in August, Western Mass' cultural and culinary landscape seemed bleak, a weak approximation at the diversity and creativity urban living provides. But then I decided to follow the sign I kept passing, to Maple Farm Foods. Exterior appearance aside, I found seasonal, organic produce and products (hummus, tofu, etc.) for half the assault-missile-prices Whole Foods sends to your wallet, and non-organic for even less, of course. Avocados for under a dollar. Imports lacing spacious rooms, tossing Turkish and Polish and Italian delicacies and desserts, jams, preserves, pickles, pastas, and dried fruit and nuts, in with standard, and varied, grocery items. And local items: El Jardin's bread, Mapleline dairy, North Hadley Sugar Shack sweets, flowers. Should you go, there's more to discover, they're a CISA member, and it's inexpensive. Maple farm foods is truly a diamond in the rough of big box bullies along route 9, and a reminder of all I have yet to discover here. NOTE: Use produce within one-two days of purchasing, it's usually ripe when you buy it, as the owner drives to Boston markets Each Day to do his purchasing. read more

I'm almost hesitant to leave a review and make others aware of the 'reduced produce section', for fear that it will become popular. Maple Farms is great. Especially that aforementioned section. I don't think I ever spend more than $8 for a weeks worth of veggies and fruits! Great for college students on a budget who are trying to eat healthy - a bruised fruit never hurt anyone! They also have small packets of seasonings, like thyme, oregano, etc., for .99cents. Which is great for those of us who want to experiment with new recipes without investing in a $5 tube of thyme. The pita bread by the meat section is also really good, as are the bakery items (though they are on the pricier side.) read more

I've been shopping at Maple Farm Foods since I first moved to the Valley three years ago. My weekly shopping consists of first stopping here and then Trader Joes on my way back to Northampton. All of the produce looks and tastes fresh and ripe, which it is. My favourite part of MFF has to be the apple cider donuts. Although another independent grocery might be "known" for theirs, the ones at MFF are FAR SUPERIOUR and oh maybe half the price. The veg is bright, flavourful, and the meat good as well. Oh and if you're looking for authentic stuffed grape leaves, I highly rec the ones here. also the eggplant salad at the deli counter. Enjoy! read more

It has been 11 months since my last review. I suggest that anyone who eats here come in at 10:30 a.m. to witness the disgusting water in the hot table. Oil floating on water the color of watery coffee. Gross. In one year's time, they have neither been told by the Hadley Board of Health to throw away the water at the end of the night and to clean the area. The hot water that the food dishes are put into are a health risk. We don't trust the food preparation here. This place is dirty. The public toilets we were told were plugged up. We won't eat there. Nothing changed in one year. Produce is all that we purchase here. read more

Great selection of produce for starters and at low prices. you can make some cheap meals here. even their pre-made food is cheap. not a selection like Atkins, but not as busy and depending where your going its closer for commuting through route 9. The ice cream shop is a plus, but the market is almost over saturated now for ice cream stands. You can fill a basket of vegatables with some pasta for under 10 bucks easily, my only problem is that its hard to navigate the store as the organization is kinda whacky, they really didnt have room for aisles so its a weird circle thing. read more

So, I'm new to the area and really enjoyed seeing all the many varieties of ethnic foods there that you usually can't find other places. Deli seems pretty extensive as well. Their produce is fresh and reasonably priced. Disappointment #1) Tried their fresh pressed 'detox juice', which tasted watered down. Hot bar generally leaves something to be desired as well. Off-putting experience #2) generally disgruntled service/crap attitude at the checkout counters. They just don't care. At all. After 2 such experiences like that in a row (my first two, at that) I'll only go there when absolutely necessary. read more

None of the other reviews have mentioned Maple Farm's truly remarkable selection of Turkish foods. They have everything from rose water, to cheese, to dried pasta and canned goods. They also have a large assortment of all kinds of spices. They also have local eggs at amazing prices, and Mapleline Farm milk too. They also have local halal meat at great prices. This native Californian is super happy to find a .99 avocado connection as well. No more $2 avocados from Whole Foods! Sweet as! I was extremely impressed by Maple Farm, and will definitely make it part of my weekly grocery circuit. read more

This store is fantastic, everyone who works there is helpful, the selection is awesome, the prices can't be beat and honestly their pizza is OFF THE CHARTS and CHEAP ($10 for a large 2 topping). one of the highlights of their prepared/ cooked food is the Chicken Penne with Gorgonzola sauce, seriously, if you are a fan of gorgonzola cheese and Alfredo sauces this is a wet dream come true, its pretty much a gorgonzola based Alfredo sauce 5 Stars, one of the best places in Hadley! read more

Oh Maple Farm Foods, I've never told you how much you mean to me. With your cheap produce, I can always get my 99cent avocado fix and all the broccoli I want, not to mention brussels sprouts and ten lb bags of onions and potatoes. Yeah, sometimes your produce isn't as fresh as it could be but hey, it's usually better than Stop & Shop or Trader Joe's. I love your little farm out front with all the geese and turkeys and goats (although it gets a bit smelly) and the samples from the deli counter. And your awesome pita bread! Huge and sesame-y and warm, they're pretty irresistible. I'm a little surprised by the rapid expansion but I can't fault you. Hopefully, you'll just get more awesome. read more

Maple Farms has a great selection of fresh foods. I stopped in for something for dinner while I was away form home and had a Stromboli that was delicious. My wife picked up some cheese, crackers and fruit and we had some canolis for dessert. Everyone in the store was very friendly and the food was great. I love love love this place. The food is so fresh. lots of local stuff and a home cooked meal for the price of a fast food meal and now they have a salad bar! Also there are authentic ethnic items scattered around the store like German chocolate from Germany, real polish sausage, real Turkish delight etc. They also have all the basics of course but for the price of bla stuff at Stop and Shop your can get good stuff here. At Whole Foods you can get a slide of smoked fish, here you get a whole fish. One of the best places in the valley!!!! read more

I am so pleased, because I love this little store, the people who work here are awesome, and now there's an even better selection of the foods I like than there was before. Let's begin with produce. Fresh, fresh, fresh. great selection. Excellent prices. Halal meat. Superb. The cheese section is taken care of properly now. They have a super selection of pulses and spices. Frozen foods? They have it. And the freezer is at the right temperature, so nothing is overfrozen to the point where weird ice forms all over it. The store is really clean, every time I go in these days. Forget Antonio's - the pizza here is the best. $3/slice of delicious onions, peppers, and chicken is a bargain. Boars head cheese is 1/2 price of Big Y. The hamburger is better than any of the other locals. They have Mapleline Milk at the best price around too. The staff is friendly, parking is easy, and the food is fresh. With the price of produce being as high as it is, it's nice to have an alternative to Whole Foods, Big Y, and Stop and Shop. It's nice to be able to come out of a store with a bag full of produce for less than 20 bucks! The store is a decent size and as of this writing, seems to be expanding so it will be interesting how this will affect not only the selection, but the price. I usually shop there about once a week. The selection is very good and the prices are usually lower than any of the big "3". There have been times when some of the produce seems to have gone past their shelf life, this is the reason I'm only giving 4 stars. Limp herbs, and soft cukes that haven't been removed from the shelf isn't my idea of selection. But, thankfully, this is rare and doesn't put a hold on shopping so far. Eggs are wicked cheap here check on their specials! They have a Boarshead Deli which is nice. Deli prices are on par with every where else. Parking is decent except be careful in the winter. read more

The produce is always cheap and fresh...The merchandise is different from any other stores around...They have a great selection of breads and bake goods..The Banana Nut Bread is wonderful...The Deli is outstanding. One of my favorite markets and fruit and veg stores in the area. It's got a huge selection of imports and multi-ethnic items including (but not limited to) middle eastern breads, the best feta cheese (Bulgarian sheeps milk) in the area, great olive bar, exotic items in the frozen foods area and much, much more. However, the recently added Mexican take out foods are a miss due to the lack of any kind of proper Mexican seasonings. Too bad, because everything is fresh and well prepared. Unfortunately, the meats for their burritos and burrito bowls (carnitas, chicken and beef) and fresh guacamole are weirdly flavored with inappropriate seasoning. Guys, you won't find thyme in Mexican cookbooks...and you need to check out the proper choices because you basically have good food that is being ruined. Otherwise, this is a great place. read more

First time checking out Maple Farm Foods. Very cool...like a mini Whole Foods or a better Trader Joes. Had a lot of fun exploring the store finding new foods (labne & Turkish yogurt) to try & old favorites to break out again. Pretty sure I would come back just to watch the fresh OJ machine. You'll know what I mean when you see it. Good buys in produce section; nice finds in spice section; quality salad bar. I love this place & will make it a regular stop. Favorite place to get groceries. They carry super-fresh produce and all sorts of goodies from Middle Eastern pantry items to cured and pickled fish to Asian condiments. This place recently expanded and has a good selection of deli items! They usually have free pizza samples and coffee too - always a nice touch from a food store. :) Produce selection is good, some items are fresher than others. My main complaint would be the line. There is only one cashier open and the layout of the register is poor. The line takes forever even if it doesn't seem that long (and considering it's much less busy than places like Atkins). There have been a few times I have returned my items upon seeing the line wait. First store I think I've ever done that in. Parking isn't ideal. On a weekend it can be busy and the lot is small. It's a tight squeeze and I wouldn't be surprised if fender-benders were a common occurrence. read more
