Manzano Tactical: The Efficiency Course That Gets You HOOKED! I initially joined Manzano Tactical just to enjoy my range days, but their Rifle Efficiency Course on September 27th completely changed the game--I'm now hooked on competition and eagerly look forward to participating in the member pistol matches and 2-Gun matches they host with the club! This course is a must-do if you are serious about improving. The course description holds true: they immediately incorporate fundamentals with serious movement and variable challenges. We spent the day pushing our limits with demanding standards, striving for those "Demigod gold standards" while shooting both handguns and rifles. The training gave me a clear, honest assessment of my current abilities and showed me exactly where my weaknesses lie. What truly set this apart was the personalized instruction from the lead instructor, Kyle. He is a master at identifying specific struggles, even managing to see and correct my flaws while I was on the move. Kyle carved out time to help solidify those exact skill sets. I walked away learning to shoot efficiently, mastering reloads and weapon manipulation on the move, fixing frustrating ammo misfeeds under pressure, and achieving seriously fast target acquisition with my optics. They even provided insightful feedback on flaws in my equipment setup! The course was fun, incredibly safe, and, by the end of the day, I had gained massive confidence in my skills. If you want to move past casual shooting and get a clear, detailed path to mastery, book this course. Highly recommended! read more

Kyle and the guys at Manzano legit brought 2A to the bay. Gun shops have always seemed intimidating, but all the staff over at Manzano are extremly knowledgeable and happy to answer all sorts of questions. They aren't salesman, they are shooters trying to help, regardless of our skill levels. I was luckily enough to take their Pistol Match Efficiency class, Jake put together a solid class with an abundant amount of information and drills to get introduced to shooting at a pace that was productive in learning. Being a member has its perks too where we can really try to better our skills in a variety of ways. Rapid fire, holster work, and even comp days. With more than competitive pricing, the ability to source things that aren't available in the shop to get products we want, Safety is also a top priority. Kyle and the team educate and demonstrate how to be efficient with firearms. read more

I've had a few experiences shooting -- be it clay shooting with a shot gun or pistol/rifles at the range. I wanted to improve my confidence and know the fundamentals of shooting. Better safe than sorry~ Kyle did not disappoint. I was very nervous and self-conscious going into the class because.. well firearms are no joke. Kyle made me feel comfortable and no question was a stupid question. His personality mixed with knowledge of firearms made it an incredible class along with a handful of other novice gun owners. I was in good company all day. I improved my grip, stance, and trigger technique greatly by the end of the class -- I felt more confident and was hitting my targets on the first try. I highly recommend any class by Kyle. It ranges from beginner to more complicated and advanced classes, and maybe I'll get there someday (-; until then I feel more comfortable with a handgun and am looking forward to a beginner classes for rifles. Thank you so so much Manzano Tactical! read more

Took the Handgun Safety and Confidence course at Coyote Valley Sporting Clays and had a blast. Kyle and Alex did a great job explaining everything, giving pointers, and offering encouragement. This is a great environment if you are learning (was my first time shooting a pistol). Highly recommend this class to gain confidence and ease up some anxiety surrounding firearms. Will definitely be taking more to develop skills in the future. read more

I took Kyle's RDS class knowing I was going to learn a lot from him. I've been shooting for a couple of months and so some of the tips and techniques he showed allowed me to make my adjustments and help me become a more confident shooter. Also, what was badass was that he was always aware of his muzzle direction. He was so fluid while being safe. He never said anything negative to anyone in class. Always was positive and had encouraging words. Alex and Michael were awesome as well. Super helpful and encouraging. We even had a little competitive fun at the end. Overall, great dudes and a great class! Definitely will be taking one of his other classes in the future! read more

Kyle is a great instructor who is dedicated to teaching way more than what you pay for. Kyle offers the what and more importantly, the why of things without being overly technical or relying on "cuz that's how it's been done". He keeps his lectures to the point and opens it up to the class on questions or feedback. He's not there to tell you his stories and to recall the good times. He's simply dedicated to upping your skills in the most effective and efficient manner. I highly recommend that you either go to him where he's at or pounce when he's traveling near to you. I look forward to joining him again in October so sign up before it fills up. "Ape strong together"! read more

kyle is the man. I had two separate private classes with him already. kyle is the top of class instructor in this industry for sure. I am saying this even after attend multiple classes hosted by various famous instructors. 1. kyle has easy going personality. No ego, No anger management issue. No drill sergent attitude. He is more like a friend of you who shoots way better than you and want to help you to perform better. 2. kyle is efficient with his teaching. No bullshit talking/story. Just straight to the point. I always think "oh we are running out of time",but Actually we have 15-20 mins left. The knowledge density packed in those 2 hours session is massive! 3. Attention to detail is amazing. He will look for anything that u need to focus on to improve yourself. He correct a lot of my inefficiency that i would never know by myself. 4.kyle can explain things that you can understand. This sounds easy but actually it is very hard to do. I am not a native speaker and even so i can easily understand what kyle explained. Overall it is always a good time to attend kyle's class. It isn't just about training but also enjoying the whole experiences. read more

A great instructor is patient. I didn't know how to zero my dot and I typically tend to forget even after taking over a dozen courses but Kyle always helps me. Also I was about to spend $6k on a chick that didn't deserve my money so like any great instructor, Kyle noticed that my current firearms set up wasn't up to par which is probably why the relationship didn't work out it's also why her bigger, unattractive friend tried getting at me. Sometimes you have to get past the fridge to get into the snacks. Anyway, Kyle recommended me the Atlas Athena. Not even 1 month after receiving it, I got a new chick. Best $6k I've ever spent, now that is a quality instructor. Highly recommend. read more

My second time taking Manzano's RDS & first time taking a rifle course. Mannnn ohhh man! Immense amount of knowledge & homework to take home. The knowledge Kyle & his team have are well worth it. You get a lifelong friendship, tons of information!!! Everything from gear breakdown, safety & scenario shooting, troubleshooting your firearms, proper grip, technique, pressure, body mechanics, faster dot acquisition, reloading, clearing malfunctions, the list goes on! I highhhly recommend signing up for a class whenever he & his team are in your area. I can't recommend these guys enough. The comraderie we have built is second to none. A bunch of likeminded individuals with one vision. Dopest of the dope. Can't wait till the team is back in Porterville next year. I will be signing up for all 3 of his classes! read more

Kyle offers the BEST firearms instruction in the Bay Area. Whether you are new to firearms and trying to get started or have been training for years, Manzano Tactical has something to offer. He also has classes for seasoned shooters ranging from handgun and rifle foundational and efficiency classes to specialty classes like low light, night vision, and CCW courses. I've taken 3 courses from Kyle in the past year and every one of them has been an 11/10 experience. Kyle's extremely knowledgeable and his courses share tons of helpful material to improve as a shooter. I've always left learning a couple of things and have consistently improved. If you're on the fence about taking one of his courses, I'd highly recommend signing up to see what it's about. My only complaint is that he doesn't offer his classes more frequently :) read more

This review is for Manzano Tactical's Safety and Confidence course. This class was really well structured. The course was 4 hours of dry-fire practice (loading, unloading, aiming, understanding the mechanics of a firearm - trigger and shooting) as well as live-fire target practice. I had taken a class from a different company in 2020 but didn't have any takeaways - I recall it being more of an experience than a learning course. With Manzano Tactical I left feeling more comfortable and confident that, if need be, I would know how to use my handgun. If you're looking for instruction that is non-judgmental, knowledgeable and fun - Manzano Tactical is top-tier. read more

I took the RDS/ Foundational Development class and loved it. We had on and off rain but I think this made it more interesting. I learned a lot of fundamentals I had no idea I was doing wrong. Cannot recommend training with Manzano Tactical enough. Learned a lot and had a great time

His Rifle Foundation Development class exceeded my expectations on as to what what a "foundation" development course would be. As an avid and regular 2 gunner and USPSA shooter, I learned a lot coming in to his RFD course and got pushed to my limits. I would highly recommend despite whatever experiences you have with your firearms especially your rifle. Kyle and his team are so f**king cool and chill too. No Frills, Just straight up badass instructors. Go try it! read more

Exceptional class as always. So far I've taken two classes with Kyle, the safety and confidence and the handgun foundations, and both times he has not disappointed. Kyle is informative on the little things that will help you in improving overall marksmanship. His professionalism and dedication to providing his students the best possible experience is top notch. He takes his time with coaching in the moment with the each individual during drills to help make the experience that more meaningful and always emphasizes safety throughout day. I'll start off by saying the hype is real. I've taken quite a few courses with various instructors and Kyle is top tier. I took the Handgun Foundational Development course and it was meticulously formatted to continuously build upon and layer skills and concepts. The course was unique in the sense that even though it's a ton of information, it's extremely digestible with great feedback provided throughout. This is the first course I took with that level of information and leaving feeling like I remember and retained all of the principles covered. My progress in skill as well as the majority of the classes throughout the course was tangible. I left a better shooter with a clear understanding of what I need to work on to continue building upon said skills. If you have an opportunity to take a course with Kyle, don't think twice about it, just do it. read more

Before I shot with Kyle at Manzano Tactical I had never shot a gun before, Kyle was patient and really took his time to teach me how to properly hold the guns to get the optimal shot. Kyle is an incredibly professional and personable instructor. I have never handled a gun before so I took a beginner private lesson with Kyle. Setting up the appointment through the website was intuitive and easy. The lesson itself was beyond my expectations. Kyle immediately put me at ease, walked me through the mechanics of using a gun, and before I knew it, I took my first shot. It was a surreal and empowering experience. Kyle's guidance throughout the lesson was pragmatic and pleasant. He was encouraging every step of the way and has phenomenal insight into safe gun practices and effective shooting. My girlfriend and I had a private session at a range with Kyle after hearing about his services from a friend and we couldn't be happier with the service he provided! Not only was he a super knowledgeable man in firearm mechanics and instructing but he was very easy to get along with and he made sure we felt comfortable the entire experience which is a huge plus because shooting is something we are very new at! I loved how he instructed us based on our different skill levels and treated us as individuals with our own strengths and weaknesses.
