The lap lanes have extended farther into the pool area, closing off the deeper end of the pool, and reducing the available areas to only a small shallow section. Very disappointing. It's all good if that's how you want to run your operation, but you are misleading the public with these restrictions. Whoever is overseeing this should provide accurate information outside of the building and online.

There is a section of the pool that's really shallow so it's easy for my toddler to walk around and get used to the water but it's also deep enough for my oldest to practice swimming. There is a lazy river, but it's restricted to 13 and older, which I don't mind because if it helps keep people safe then so be it. It's not a big deal. The lifeguards are very kind and very attentive and overall it's just a really great place to swim in the summer.

Family and kids alike can swim altogether in this pool because of its depth variations. The layout of it is somewhat like a beach type thing ( i don't know how else to explain it..lol) where you start off with ankle depth then it goes on deeper as you go farther in. There are also a lot of lounge chairs and adirondack ones and also a shaded area where you can bring in your food and have a little picnic with your family. Vending machines are also in this shaded area so you can grab your snacks and drinks while you rest from all those pool fun. Lifeguards are very attentive and they surround the whole pool perimeter so that's a plus for me since a lot of kids tend to get rowdy when they're having fun.

Highlights: - App is easy to use to cancel, use make up tokens, change classes - you know exactly where your kid is at within his level - the teachers are always progressing your child. If your child is really strong in one area, but needs to stay in the level until they pass a different milestone, I've still seen them work on the stronger areas at a higher level. This is huge to me!

You gotta sit on the floor or bring yours. No food allowed. My kid isn't malnourished so not a problem for me. The majority of the toilets have no privacy d/t missing doors. I feel like maybe okay for a toddler but even then...hell no. Very little to no shade- only as the sun moves and the building shades, and definitely none for the swimmers. Pros: pool doesn't stink, life guards a plenty and they aren't nearly as strict as the ones at Reid park. Almost like they have a bit of common sense. And of course the long wyndee slide. Fairly clean for a public pool. Maybe one of your city council members could throw some $$ slotted for parks and rec for some chairs tho.

This is not a place for older kids, and it can get extremely busy all of a sudden. When they do get busy they often do not have enough staff to man the front counter and the stations, especially the climbing area, which causes long lines slows down participation big time resulting in wasted time. Often during spring break there was only one staff member running that whole climbing area. One thing that I cannot stand as a parent is that they require you to purchase and wear their propriety grip socks. C'mon. Grip socks are grip socks and we have a whole drawer full of grip socks from different places we've been over the years. I've never been to a place where they care which grip socks you are wearing. But if you can't find their branded socks for each kid and adult then you have to purchase another pair just to participate even if you have a handful of viable grip socks. The only mention of it online is when you go to book a date they through it on the screen all of a sudden. It's says you have to have wild Katz grip socks but doesn't exclusively say you can only use their socks. It's just dumb. Lava Island off of River Road and Orange Grove does not have that policy and is also much more suitable for both older and younger kids! This would be a solid 4 star place for younger kids if not for the hit or miss staffing causing lines and the grip sock nonsense!
