Last Saturday I took my cat in because he had a urinary tract infection and I was afraid his bladder would burst and our family vet was not available. Needless to say they didn't help him the 4 days he was there, they wanted to charge us another $3000.00 for a surgery he didn't need or put him to sleep. When we called and told them we were going to come get him they said oh that's not a good idea. They just basically wanted more money from us and we're not a bit concerned about my cat. When we took him to our vet the same day we found that they had him on medication that was hurting more than it helped. Our family vet treated him and he is now home doing well.

My dog's recurring ear infection caused me to schedule that today--a Sunday! same day appointment!--so Petfolk already had points in their favor even before I got there. I use a holistic vet that can be hard to get into, plus it's a hard drive clear across town on a weekday, therefore they are not good for urgent use. (They are also super expensive and make you wait a frustratingly long time once you're there). Everyone at Petfolk--Zabrina, Peter, and Dr. Mary Murphy--was so friendly, timely, gentle, kind, informative, and explained things so well. I felt heard and respected and they gained my trust quickly. This included the breakdown of cost, and updating me on cost as the appointment progressed. I knew just what the treatment plan entailed when I left, but even if I hadn't, they sent a follow up email spelling it all out. My dog is generally quite healthy, but with her allergy-borne ear issues and advancing age, I immediately saw the value of the membership even though I almost never go for that sort of thing. I look forward to the new location in Kennesaw opening in a couple of months which will be perfect for us. I will now use Petfolk as my primary vet, and the holistic one for more specialized advice and treatment going forward. Thank you, Petfolk. I'll be spreading the word.

So without promotion it would have been $285 just to take a look at my pet. They are overpaid overpriced shop that is not for those who are not wealthy and/or those on a budget. Other vets like Chewy Vet services charge $75 visit fee. I needed something simple for my cat, it was obvious what was needed and there was no need for extra test and procedures. They showed little compassion for my cat. They were all about the money. They let me come in and walk out without even taking a look at my pet. A vet who loves animals would have at minimum taken a look before trying to order a series of test.

After the exam, I was told straight up that my dog didn't need dental cleaning, so I could not book the service. I decided to purchase heartworm preventatives using their online pharmacy, but after EIGHT attempts in a month to get the medication, the order was rejected EVERY SINGLE TIME by their veterinarian. Each time the reason was that there was a prescription on file already so they could not approve an order request, but there WAS no prescription on file to begin with. All I can assume is that Pawproject wants my dog to get heartworm infection and die. I hate Pawproject and will report them to the Georgia Board of Veterinary Medicine. Don't go there.

I gladly agree to not return to questionable facilities that are not available on weekends when MOST visits are needed. I now understand why most of my friends have left this "clinic" ( notice they cannot call themselves a hospital!) Why not??? Ok experience. Vet was not open to discussing alternative options to standard vaccines that poison the dogs more than necessary. She was rescued from the streets and has very little faith and trust in humans. It has been a long road to ger her to where she could be spayed. They worked with us for nearly 6 months to ease her fear. You have no idea how difficult it has been, but they never gave up. They had to figure out how to work around her fear and they did. Our sweet Luna has been successfully spayed and micro chipped. Up to date on all vaccinations and is on heartworm and flea prevention meds. I needed a new vet because my last vet told me to put down my animals and they ended up living two years after that so I went on Google and found this place and before I read any reviews, I booked an appointment. My little fur baby had been inappropriately peeing around my room so I asked for a urinalysis. When I walked into the vet these two beautiful ladies greeted me and were talking about fuggler toys which I love!! Dev took me back to the room and was so sweet and talkative the whole time. She calmed my nerves and was so nice to not only my cat but me. They took my cat back and everything was fine but I do not mind that I spent almost $200 for nothing to be wrong. This place and the people here are absolutely everything and I couldn't recommend this place more. I also couldn't recommend Dev more because she was literally the best. Best first impression and I have definitely found my vet for life.

I cannot recommend this clinic based on my experience. From my perspective, this felt like a…read moremoney-making practice rather than patient care. I brought in a stool sample after personally seeing worms in my dog's stool and paid $60 for a fecal examination. The clinic reported that no parasites were found, which directly contradicted what I observed in the sample I submitted. Instead of addressing this discrepancy, I was told I would have to pay for another office visit before my dog could receive any treatment. Paying for a test that produced results I cannot reconcile with what I witnessed, and then being asked to pay again, was extremely disappointing. I have requested the laboratory report and a review of my case. If this matter is not resolved satisfactorily, I will file a complaint with the Georgia State Board of Veterinary Medicine

Each dog and cat receives wonderful individual care and consideration. And believe me, a couple of my pets have really put everyone through the ringer! I also genuinely like and trust all the people there, and that is a big plus. It is a single-vet practice so you aren't being shuttled around from doctor to doctor.
